Monkey Trouble

Rate this book
Little Monkey was told not to climb tall trees. Did he listen? Certainly not! He just made a face and climbed the tallest tree he could find. But that was a big mistake, for the wind snuck up behind him and blew Little Monkey right out of the tree and carried him across the sky, far, far away. Little Monkey is trouble all right, but he is lucky, too, and readers will be charmed by the cheeky little chimp's fortunes -- and misfortunes -- on his hilarious journey, back home.

Prachtig prentenboek te gebruiken bij attitudes. Luisteren is een hele goeie attitude. Niet altijd even gemakkelijk, maar meestal wel met de juiste redenen.

If you don't listen, serious consequences may come your way. Monkey trouble takes place in multiple different places. The protagonist, Little Monkey, never listens... Until one day the consequences kick in. One day Little monkey decides not to listen to his mom and a big wind blows him away from his home. Read the book to find out if he ever gets home!
This book was very creative. I like how it teaches kids that if kids don't listen, there can be consequences. However, I didn't really like how it was pretty random and all over the place when it cam to the actual story. It's like, he gets lost because he doesn't listen, then random events, and finally, he gets home, the end. I wouldn't read this book of it was novel because there's actually not enough story to make it a novel. I would recommend this book to kids who need to be taught a lesson about not listening.

Little Monkey doesn't listen and that leads to big problems. The elephants think that Little Monkey is their baby girl and gets the pink dress for the baby. He makes it back home, but it appears that problems are not finished.

Grades K-3 will enjoy this one about a mischievous monkey who gets into trouble when he just doesn't listen!
The illustrations are fun and different. Kids will relate to the consequences to "not listening"and to the emotions monkey feels when he is trying to find his way back home.
