Ever since first reading The Ayes of Texas many years ago I have enjoyed a good hypothetical future bread out of a cold war fear. Knowing good and well that the zero factor which the book is based on and named after has failed multiple presidents now it is still an amusing read. It's a simple read and the story is told fairly straight forward following both the assassin and the would be target as they navigate the events that lead to their paths crossing. There's some danger and some political intrigue to be had and it all moves steadily forward making it an enjoyable quick book to get through. However, I did not actually finish it. Rather I made bail about 30 pages short of the end. Still, a good book for passing the time when you have nothing but time to kill.

A political thriller that advances the Zero Factor (Presidents elected in a year ending in zero...).

I think this was well constructed, believable, easy to read, and really keeps the reader interested in getting to the next incident/revelation.

I have read this story several times.

Completely worth my timer every time. Highly recommended!

Great novel about the mystery of the Presidents who died in office that were elected in a year ending in zero until George W. Bush. All Presidents who were elected in a year ending in zero died or were assinssnated and had many other common factors.
