(EN) Sophie Bennington moved to San Diego to get away from all the lies. Behind, she only left her grandmother since she lost both her parents on an early age. Now she just needs to get a job because being an amateur surfer is not going to pay her bills.
Christian Montgomery has made his job his number one priority in life. And that is now taking a toll on him. He needs to relax but he really doesn’t know how to but inviting a red-head surfer on a date seems like a good start.

3.5 stars
I'm not really sure what's wrong with this book that I can't give it more than 3.5 stars. The characters are fine but maybe that is the problem. They're just OK. They're a little bland that I can predict what they will do and won't do. They never surprised me. Christian is this alcoholic son who's trying to prove himself and it was obvious it'll be a problem not only to his health but to his relationship with Sophie. Sophie with her baggage and wanting to start anew was a cliche concept ...more

I received a copy of this from Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca in exchange for my honest review.
I wanted to love this book. It had all the right ingredients. Sexy male lead, sweet main character, lots of family, cute story, but it just never gelled for me. There was lots of health scares and lack of depth with other characters. It was not a bad read, but not a favorite

I really enjoy this series and this one is no exception. I loved the heroine which is probably what made this so special. Sophie is an interesting character and her relationship with Christian was fantastic. I loved the themes of expectation and living your life for yourself. This was a really good one. Definitely can be read as a standalone but so much better if you read the series since they all come together so well and give you that added depth!

Christian Montgomery made a mistake years ago and no matter what he does, he just cannot seem to make things right. He works way too many hours and it has finally begin to take a toll on him. If he does take a break, it is short-lived. The most Christian can do is to try and enjoy his beachfront deck. Oh that he could be as carefree as the California surfers!
Sophie Bennington has her own problems. She was doing just fine living in a small town in Kansas, but after learning something devastating, ...more

Five Amazing Time
Meeting His Match
I was just so absolutely thrilled to receive book eight, The Montgomery Brothers. Such a most wonderful and romantic story to read. I absolutely adored this marvellous book.
Early this morning Christian Montgomery was relaxing outside having his coffee before he heading in his work. It was always his favourite pastime to look out and enjoy the outside view. He loved watching the crowds of people on the beach on the beach below.

I don't think I've read a Samantha Chase book that I haven't absolutely adored! I love her witty heroines, her heroes that make my heart rate pick up speed. Suddenly Mine is no different - I loved this book so hard! It was the perfect read to get me out of my reading slump. Totally recommend!

Christian and Sophie come from totally different backgrounds. He's a big city businessman who spends his days drowning in responsibility. She's a small town girl who needs a fresh start. When tough choices and a bruised heart bring small town to the big city these two opposites discover they are not all that different where it counts. Suddenly Mine tells the story of two strangers trying to break free of heartbreaking pasts and create something new. Chase wards off the chill with a hint of heat,

Samantha Chase pairs stressed out, executive Christian Montgomery with Sophie Bennington, a shy, determined nurse from Kansas in Suddenly Mine. Christian and Sophie’s story is a fabulous journey filled with emotion, great dialogue and a healthy dose of Montgomery matchmaking.
Samantha Chase has created two unique characters in this novel; a Montgomery who isn’t sure if he wants to continue his career in the family business and a nurse who moved cross country to start over with a blank slate. I en ...more

You can’t go wrong with a Samantha Chase novel, and it’s even better when it’s a new entry into one of her great series. SUDDENLY MINE, the eighth novel in the Montgomery Brothers series, hits the nail on the head in both categories.

Oh how I love the workaholic Christian and the free spirited Sophie together.
Christian Montgomery is miserable. Sure he kinda likes his job but why was he helmed with being the one Montgomery to take over the family business? How did his brother and sister get out of the constant scrutiny that he seems to always be under from their dad.
Although he's been in San Diego for a while. It still isn't his home. He works too much to date and having his dad breathing down his neck constantly doesn't help ...more

This is book 8 of the Montgomery Brothers series, and although you will get the family dynamics far better if you read them in order, they are fun reads in their own right. I am a fan, so knew the references and asides, which did make it even richer - and such a relief that Christian finally gets it!

Suddenly mine is the 8th book in The Montgomery Brothers series and it can be read as stand-alone. We are on the Montgomery cousins part and I have to admit that I haven't read the original part of the series. Just the cousins part and I am looking forward to reading Carter's story. His character had some development that I wasn't expecting and it was good. I want to him develop even more and find love.

I absolutely loved this book. Samanthas book just keeps getting better and better. I can totally see this book cone to life in movie form. I just love Sophie and Christian, their chemistry is something that I think most every guy or girl would love to have. Sophie wanted a change and she moved to California. She took up surfing but couldn't get the hang of it but kept trying. Christian is a over worked hotter than heck man that notices Sophie out there surfing from his deck overlooking the ocean

4 Star Review of Suddenly Mine (The Montgomery Brothers #8) by Samantha Chase
I love this series from Samantha Chase. Each and every book is filled with love and family. I would not mind being adopted into the Montgomery clan to be honest. Although book 8 this can be read as a stand alone.

Have you ever read a book that had you sighing one minute and cursing the characters the next? Well, this one had me doing it! Christian is literally working himself to death and hating his job while he is doing it. The best part of his day is his morning coffee when sitting on his deck when he gets a glimpse of his surfer girl. He would like nothing more than to go down to the beach and introduce himself but something, mainly himself, is holding him back until one day he witnesses a bully knock

I liked this book, just fine. It was a simple, but predictable read- which is what I've come to expect from Samantha Chase books. Well written, smooth, and simple. I will say, I wanted to see a little more sizzle between Sophie and Christian. It was a good addition to the Montgomery series. It did make me excited to read the next book, which I am hoping is Carter's story!
3.5/5 Stars.

Honestly I can’t say enough good things about this series! I’ve read all and loved all. Author Samantha Chase simply gives us what we want. I love how match making by loved ones plays a big part in these books. It’s fun to experience it all. Christian and Sophie are the perfect pair. Both have things they are trying to overcome and them coming together was just beautiful. There is no way you won’t fall in love with these two. Matter of fact all of the Montgomery Brothers and their loves and offs

I always say that Sports Romance is my crack, but honestly, so are the Montgomerys. I love this series and this family ( and Samantha Chase too) SO hard. Christian was one I worried about after reading snippets about him in other books. He works way too hard, and is too closed off. And that’s where Sophie comes in. She shows him how to have fun again, and love, and it’s magical. A great addition to this series.

Christian Montgomery is a workaholic continually trying to please his Father. Sophie Bennington is struggling with a secret that had been kept from her for years. They connect immediately but their romance is slow to develop.
This book is part of a series but if you haven’t read the others you will have no trouble following the story. It is an enjoyable story about a family and a couple trying to work out the issues in their lives to get to a happy ending. Thank you to net galley for an advanced ...more

Talk about a roller coaster ride. Ups and downs. Love and heartbreak. Happiness and Regret. This book has it all.
Christian has tried to prove himself to his father all his life, to be the son that his father was proud of. Working for the family business is hard, but he tells himself its worth it. But whatever he does, its never enough for his father.

I am a fan of Chase's work, but this book just didn't grab me like some of her other series. It was an okay book, but nothing special.
I had a BIG problem with Christian's father and uncles. The father for putting so much unfair pressure on his children, but also on the uncles for watching this behaviour over the years and never stepping in to stop some of this borderline cruel behaviour.
But, I loved how the matchmaking has shifted from the beginning of the Montgomerys series. I loved how both Ch ...more

My review on Romancing-the-Book is below:
Suddenly Mine started off like most of the other books in the Montgomery Brothers series with an uptight male character who finds a woman who can ease his anxiety and show him there's more to life than work. It doesn't always take place between the sheets either even though there are some very steamy moments! Christian and Sophie have an instant connection even before they officially meet. Christian Montgomery has been working for the family business since he was fifteen-years old. After a personal debacle while in the London office, he now heads up their San Diego branch. He eats, breathes and sleeps work, with his very limited relaxation time consisting of sitting on his deck of his beachside home watching the cute, red-head try to surf, enjoying the fact that what skill she lacks she more than makes up for with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. When he has a health scare at w

I love the Montgomery series. All of these kids are victims of their parents matchmaking. Christian is just the next in line. He is the workaholic, trying to prove to his father that he has what it takes to make the business successful. He doesn't have time for a relationship nor does he want one after what happened in the London office. He has put all of that behind him. Every morning he sits on his deck and watches the beach. There are yoga classes, fishermen and surfers. One sufer in particul

Uumm...Didn't see that coming. I was prepared for another sweet romance with some family drama mixed in, but Samantha really brings the drama and turmoil in this one. She keeps you on your toes from the first to last page. I don't want to spoil anything if you haven't read it yet, so I'll do my best.
