Explore multiple ways to cut and use flying geese in nine quilt designs, plus a block library of over 40 designs
Flying geese are a quilt-making staple! At once a simple block, yet one that yields complex results, this mainstay is the star of the show in Lee Monroe’s first book, Patchwork Flying Geese. The book features a series of nine patterns, all based in tradition but with a modern twist. Patchwork Flying Geese is organized into three main multiple techniques for making flying geese blocks; nine quilt patterns progressing from quick and simple to challenging and complex; and 40 flying geese blocks and a sample quilt in which to feature them. The final chapter features small projects to make from the half-square triangles that remain after trimming the geese for each project—from a pillow to a quilt back.
