This is a cute book using touching words and beautiful illustrations to express a parent's love and devotion for their child, which I really enjoyed... however I cannot recommend this book. My reason behind this and my two star rating is that I do not like the way in which the the author used the "big bang" theory (stars crashing into one another) in this book to explain the creation of human beings. I feel this message is inaccurate and can really confuse the young children this book is intende

This is an adorable and heartwarming book, written as a tribute to the "we" created when Hoda Kotb adopted her daughter Haley Joy in 2017.
But the real thrill of this book comes from the illustrations by Suzie Mason. Saying they are stunning doesn't do them justice. Mason captures the sweet ideas with happy and bright digital art, in a way that creates depth in a jungle like you can't imagine until you see it.

Hello, friends! Our book today is I’ve Loved You Since Forever, written by Hoda Kotb and illustrated by Suzie Mason, a heartfelt love letter from parent to child.
When does a mother or father begin to love their baby? From the day they meet them? No no, the love between a mother or father and their baby began long before that. It began before the flight of birds, and before bees made honey. It c ...more

This is a really, really quick read (seriously, it probably took me under a minute to get through). But it's a book I might go back to again, since the sentiment, the words, and the pictures are all quite strong. I can see this being a bedtime favourite, with kids looking at the cute pictures of young animals and their parents, and the gentle rhythmic narrative lulling them to sleep.
This one would make a lovely baby gift, too. ...more

A wonderful short book about a mothers love, and how it has no beginning and no end, because... I've loved you since forever.
I loved the illustrations, and the text is short enough to be read at bedtime to an infant or a squirelly toddler.
Highly recommend for public and private collections. ...more

I'm checking these children's books out from the library and practicing on my grandpups so I know which ones to buy when it's the real deal. Not as good as the classic "Guess How Much I Love You" that I read to my girls many moons ago.

The illustrations are the star of this short picture book about a parent’s and child’s love. “Before the moon lit up the night and elephants roamed free, there was you and there was me.” Via a bunch of nature-related forevers, Kotb implies the eternity of souls and suggests that a parent and a child await the time when their two “stars” become not separate “you and I” but “we.” I don’t know if she intended to put that much philosophy in the ...more

This picture book by famous Hoda Kotb is every bit as lyrical and inspiring as the woman herself. I was reading it aloud to my niece and I could hear the words in Hoda's voice. I wonderful book about the loving relationship between a parent and a child. -UPL Library Staff

Summary:
This book is about a mother's love for her baby. At first, both the mom and the baby are represented as stars on separate pages of the book. The book lists different rhyming items with the stars getting closer together as the book goes on, constantly reminding the audience of the mother's eternal love. It ends with the stars crossing paths. Finally the mother and her baby are together.

I really don't care for the fancy, flourishy font used for half the text because children can't read it. Otherwise, the illustrations are absolutely lovely and it's a cute little parent-child book. Has an extra punch of meaning for families brought together through adoption.

This is a nice book about a parent's love for a child. Before all the simple things we see in the world, there was love and the family was meant to be together. A simple, but heartfelt message. Children will enjoy Mason's darling illustrations.

A mother's love is something distinctly special. Her bond with her child is difficult to describe yet unwavering and strong. This simple book speaks to the love that exists from the very beginning between mother and child. The words are basic, the illustrations colorful using animal pairs to show the feelings expressed. This is a book which begs to be read with a child in your lap.

I truly enjoyed how the mother told the child how much the child was loved. The illustrations were perfect in helping to tell the story.
