Carly Smith came by her trust issues honestly. A victim of sex trafficking, she's been at the mercy of merciless men, ignored by law enforcement officers who should have helped her, and seemingly rejected by her family. She can't even trust herself to do the right thing. Though she escaped her captors and is working hard on building a new life, the past continues to haunt her when she discovers that the man she couldn't bring herself to report to police for fear of reliving her captivity is still out there, luring vulnerable girls under the guise of being a modeling agent.
When her own niece is kidnapped, Carly must overcome her fears and come forward with the information she has before it's too late. When that proves to be not enough, she'll have to go after the perpetrators herself.

Justice Delivered by Patricia Bradley is book four in her Memphis Cold Case series. I have not read the other books in this series, but the novel reads well as a standalone.
Human trafficking is a serious and disturbing subject. Patricia Bradley has broached the topic in a thoughtful way. Carly Smith was abducted and sold to a human trafficker at the age of seventeen. She’s now a substance abuse counselor, but is always on the lookout for the man who sold her into slavery. Now Carly’s niece has been abducted and could be on her way to living the same traumatic life as her aunt. Carly has to confront her past in order to have a real future.
Justice Delivered is an excellent novel. The characters and their stories are compelling. The romance is tastefully inserted into the framework of the narrative. The plot is interesting and the ending is appropriate. It could be the end of the series or a nice platform for the next installment. I completely enjoyed this book and rate it 5 out of 5 stars.
My thanks to Revell and NetGalley for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this book. However, the opinions expressed in this review are 100% mine and mine alone.
Bradley has been a hit-or-miss author for me in the past, but I have really enjoyed her Memphis Cold Case series. Justice Delivered, book 4, really blows it out of the waters, though!
Firstly, I should mention that this book deals heavily with the topic of human trafficking, specifically the sex trade. This is a subject that is very close to my heart, so I was very interested to see how Bradley would tackle this difficult topic. I was greatly impressed. Bradley shows the reality and the horror of this abominable crime against humankind, yet does so with great sensitivity and respect. Kudos to the author for that. Human trafficking is not something that is talked about enough, so I highly recommend this book for that reason. But that being said, I would not recommend this book to young or sensitive readers.
The mystery and suspense definitely kept me on my toes and constantly guessing. For quite a while, you have no idea who is good, and who is not. The action was nearly non-stop, and my adrenaline was pumping in certain scenes. Once you pick up this book, you will not be able to put it down.
I feel like there were more characters and points of views in this book than the others, but I actually really liked that. I loved the inclusion of David Raines story and was so happy to see him and Maggie finally get their happy ending. I also really loved the characters of Carly and Logan and found them incredibly relatable.
All in all, I highly recommend this suspenseful story with a sweet romance line and a very realistic topic.

Suspenseful, intriguing, exciting and emotional, Justice Delivered combines mystery, action and romance with a heartbreaking story of traumatic circumstances overcome and the fight to battle fear and evil. Justice Delivered is the fourth book in the Memphis Cold Case series. Each book can be read as a standalone title. Like the other books in this series, Justice Delivered is a thrilling book, with relatable characters and heart-pounding suspense.
Carly knows not to trust anyone. After being tricked, kidnapped and then sold into a human sex trafficking ring, Carly survived eight years of abuse. Now, Carly lives a careful but free life, until her work as a counsellor brings her into contact with a young girl who was also trafficked and who has a scarily similar story to Carly’s. But if Carly decides to break her silence and seek justice against those who harmed her she will bring down danger not just on herself, but on her young niece as well.
Justice Delivered reminded me of Called to Protect by Lynette Eason, and it is perfect for fans of Irene Hannon and Dani Pettrey. Human trafficking is sadly a relevant topic and a very real danger in today’s society. The horror of Carly’s experiences are expertly conveyed in Justice Delivered without portraying too many details. The mystery of who was behind the trafficking and attacks was easy to guess but there is still plenty of action and twists to keep readers glued to the pages. I enjoyed the multiple featured characters in this book. Justice Delivered is Carly’s story, but it is also her brother-in-law’s story, the story of the mystery of her sister’s death, the story of Carly’s niece, and two romance stories. It’s packed with details expertly woven together and wholly enjoyable.
Justice Delivered is an easy book to recommend for suspense readers, who are sure to enjoy this fast-paced and thrilling title.

This fourth and final book in the Cold Case series was captivating and fast pace - I felt like I barely started and when I looked I was 41% in.
Carly’s fear and trust issues felt real for her experience. With this series topic, the author did a great job of showing the serious and long term effect on the victims.
I enjoyed David and Maggie’s story as well.
I did guess the main suspected well before the reveal and also another bad guy, though that plot felt a bit rushed at the end and I did not get all the answers I wanted.
Even though there is characters from the series and David and Maggie coming back from previous books, this story can be read as a stand alone.
I applaud the author for tackling the difficult subject of sex trafficking. I think this is the best book of the Memphis Cold Case series. There are a great deal of twists, some of the mystery elements are easy to figure out and others are less so, but the story is captivating and will keep readers turning pages to discover what will happen next.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book, all opinions are my own.
Wow! This is a real page turner that I had trouble putting down. Patricia Bradley has written an intense, fast paced suspense that is a great addition to the Memphis Cold Case series. I think that it is my favorite in the series. Heather Morgan and her sister, Lia, were raised in Memphis by their aunt and uncle after their parents were killed in an auto accident. As a seventeen year and dating an older guy, twenty year old Logan Donovan, Heather was taken in by someone posing a modeling agent, only to find herself sold to a pimp in a prostitution trafficking ring. After eight years, she is able to escape with help from some caring Christian women and try to start her life over as Carly Smith. Now, eight years after escaping, she has a degree in counseling and works as a counselor in a recovery home near Nashville for troubled girls with a problem with drugs. One of the girls that she has in her group, Jenna, told the same story of a modeling agent that promised a career in modeling. Feeling like it is her chance to find the person who abducted her, she returns to Memphis to investigate. She can't resist going to watch her niece Lexi play soccer, hoping that no one will recognize her. But Logan is the soccer coach and her aunt, uncle and others are there. No one appears to know her but she got into a conversation with David's friend, attorney Maggie Starr. Maggie is able to give her directions to a home for girls where Jenna had been staying before and where Carly has an appointment with the director. Maggie has a need to go there as well since she is the attorney for the home. As she walked Carly out of the home later, Carly is shot. Someone knows who she is and wants to shut her up. The next day, Lexi is kidnapped and Carly is warned to back off or Lexi will pay. Eventually, Carly's story comes out and she tries to help find Lexi. But what a wild ride that takes place in the process. There are twists and turns and so many people to suspect...so much action, danger and suspense with some romance thrown in. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and highly recommend it as all the books in the series. I received a complimentary ARC from Revell Publishing through NetGalley. All thoughts expressed are mine only.
"None of us deserve forgiveness . . . if you don't forgive . . . it will eat you alive."
Years. It had taken "Carly Smith" years to get up enough nerve to re-enter the world that she had been forced to leave behind at the tender age of seventeen. Initiating contact with her older sister, Lia Morgan Raines, felt finally felt right, but once again years have passed since Lia's suspicious death on the night of their reunion. The woman's demise had been classified as a cold case and no one but Carly holds the kind of information that might help law enforcement re-open the investigation.
After escaping eight years of forced prostitution, Carly is certain that the names and faces that she recalls have changed, but risking a trip back to Memphis where it all began is one that she is determined to make. She trusts no one; not her cop brother-in-law, not her once-boyfriend Logan, not anyone associated with the house party that had connected her with an experienced trafficker. Eventually, after her re-appearance sets off a shock wave of violent events, Carly decides that she has to trust someone. Who can help her ensure that justice is finally delivered?
With its myriad of twists and turns, this book was difficult to put down; every chapter raised more questions than it answered and every character had multiple roadblocks to overcome. Ultimately, it was forgiveness that untangled the details of this well plotted case, showcasing Patricia Bradley's skillful ability to write stories that count.
I received a copy of "Justice Delivered" from Baker Publishing through Interviews and Reviews.
My Favorite Character/s: Carly, she went through so much. I would have liked to know more about what happened to her after that ending though.
My Verse for Carly is Luke 12:4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. (King James Version.)
My Thoughts: This was a book I requested to read through Revell, I haven’t really read any other books by the author but thought I’d give it a try. I liked the book and the ending was unexpected but I was surprised by somewhat lacking spiritual content which disappointed me. In all, it was a really good read.
Warnings: This is about human trafficking so there is a good bit of that, a few characters are hurt, and there are a few mentions of drugs.
I received this book in exchange for my honest review and am truly happy to provide it – all thoughts are my own.
Patricia Bradley has done it again! She has brought her readers another instantly captivating, page-turning, gripping thriller in the Memphis Cold Case series and it’s just as great as the others! From start to finish, the characters come to life and the reader becomes a part of this gripping story. Each heart pounding event, each drop of sweat within the book, becomes a part of the person holding it. Carly Smith was chiseled with amazing depth and I could feel her emotions like they were my own.
Bradley has beautiful talent. She fills her story with ups, downs, ins and outs. A roller coaster ride of thrilling proportions. She weaves Godly messages into the story and just the perfect amount of romance to keep the reader engrossed until the end. While this is the 4th book in her series, this is easily a stand alone novel. I highly recommend this with 4 stars!
*I received a complimentary copy of this book from Revell and was under no obligation to post a review, positive or negative.*
Carly Smith was kidnapped and sold to a human trafficker when only 17. After 8 years, she is able to escape and begins a new life; but she never forgets the man who kidnapped her or the man who trafficked her. Now after 8 years of freedom, intensive counseling, and finishing a college degree, Carly is ready to face her family and find the two men who were responsible for her years of terror.
This book is the last in the Memphis cold case series. It reads well as a stand alone, but some of the characters from previous books appear in this book. It starts slowly, but the pace picks up with every page and skyrockets to the end. I felt like Carly really grew and became more confident as the story progressed. I can't imagine having to deal with 8 years of sex trafficking as well as abuse and torture by her handler. I especially liked that she faced her demons in order to get Blade and Grey off the streets and no longer trafficking young women. I did guess who Grey was about 3/4 of the way through the book. But still Bradley penned a wild ride ending.
Well done suspense series that I recommend for those who like this genre.

"Justice Delivered" is a romantic suspense novel. It is the fourth in a series, but it can be read as a standalone novel. A high level of suspense was created by the kidnapping of the niece and repeated attempts to kill or kidnap Carly. It was a constant race to track down clues as to where the kidnapped niece was, who was behind Carly's original kidnapping, and who was attacking her now. I had a good idea of who the bad people were, though I was in doubt as to which person did which actions until nearly the end. I was a little surprised that the hero, at the end, knew there were some loose ends yet didn't immediately spot the clue that should've alerted him to further danger. Anyway, the story was very exciting.
The main characters were likable, and I cared about what happened to them. I liked that the romance built slowly during the story, so I was disappointed that it was rushed at the end. The hero and heroine dated a few times 16 years ago and worked well together after Carly overcame her trust issues with him regarding men and cops. He admired her strength and courage as well as her looks. But we went from Carly just learning to trust him to a conversation that basically goes "Want to date?", "We live in different cities", "Want to get married?", "Yes!". They never go on a normal date or get to know each other under normal circumstances before deciding to get married, and they didn't deal with the potential difficulties facing them. I guess I prefer the "six months later" epilogues.
Though only briefly mentioned, Carly learned to trust God more by the end of the story. There was no bad language or sex. Overall, I'd recommend this enjoyable suspense novel.
I received an ebook review copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley.
Tough subject matter makes this a hard read at times. Kudos to the author for handling the topic with grace and compassion as well as portraying Carly's recovery journey realistically. This is the kind of suspense that knots your stomach and keeps a reader on edge all the way through -- especially when I began putting pieces together and the alarm bells started clanging in my head. It got to the point where I just couldn't put the book down. I had to voraciously gobble up the last half in one sitting.
This is the fourth book in the Memphis Cold Case series and Patricia Bradley fans will be happy to reconnect with some characters from the previous books but Justice Delivered also reads perfectly fine as a standalone. It's lighter on the romance then the previous books which makes sense given the nature of the suspense thread. But there is romance -- two, in fact -- just not the major focus of the story.
A plot with plenty of twists and turns -- where you sit frozen in your chair waiting for the other shoe to drop -- and the kind of characters it's easy to care about and root for make Justice Delivered an incredible thrill of a read

Patricia Bradley brings the suspense in Justice Delivered. Right from the start, danger unfolds as we meet Carly Smith while she is trying to escape from human trafficking. Carly puts her life back together but realizes that she can’t stay silent while her abductors are free to pursue their evil endeavors. Carly heads to her home town to track down the man that tricked her into a supposed modeling contract, but she is unable to stop her niece from being kidnapped.
Justice Delivered is hands down the best in this series, and I enjoyed the other three Justice novels. (This can be read as a stand-alone if you haven’t read the other novels.) Just note the sensitive subject material for some readers. The author does a great job of giving plenty of action without over-the-top details, but this does deal with human trafficking and child abduction. The story actually sheds light and brings awareness to a scary and very real issue plaguing our cities today.
The non-stop suspense and plot twists will keep you up all night. With terrifying bad guys and admirable good guys, the intense story line flows rapidly as every flip of the page leads to new dangers. I’ve never seen a character go through so much as Carly. She’s a warrior and I loved the chemistry she has with police officer Logan Donovan. Justice Delivered won’t disappoint suspense fans! Justice Delivered doesn’t come out for a few weeks, but add it to your TBR list now. If only I could give it six stars!
I received an ebook review copy of this book through NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.
Wow. I’ve been following Patricia Bradley’s Memphis Cold Case series and have loved the books so far but this one blew my socks off! In her trademark fashion, Patricia Bradley starts the book off with a bang and weaves an intricate plot with twists and turns and surprises along the way at a fast pace. If you enjoy well-written suspense with non-stop action and characters that grab your heart, you will absolutely love this book.
Carly, our heroine, is a victim of trafficking but she rises above her fears and past mistakes to become a substance abuse counselor to young women. She’s strong, determined, intelligent yet emotionally vulnerable. Logan is a Memphis police officer who dated Carly many years ago before her disappearance. He’s strong, steady, and dependable and ends up crossing paths with Carly multiple times when she returns to Memphis. Unfortunately her return triggers a cascade of events that Carly hadn’t predicted and she must learn to trust others and work with them to rescue her kidnapped niece. There is also a subplot of romance between Maggie (criminal defense lawyer) and widower David (cold case detective) who also happens to be Carly’s brother-in-law and father of the missing child. The romance between both couples is sweet and only a small portion of the plot. The cold case of Carly’s sister’s unresolved death plays a minor role in the story but does serve to jumpstart the action and tie everything together.
The book is fourth in the series but can definitely be read as a stand-alone. There are cameo appearances of previous characters but they’re so inconspicuous that you wouldn’t even catch them in the story unless you knew who they were. Patricia Bradley is a master of grab-the-edge-of-your-seat suspense and you don’t want to miss this one!
I received a copy of the book from Baker Publishing via Interviews & Reviews book review program and was under no obligation to post a positive review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.
Patricia Bradley continues to offer up one winning novel after another with her "Memphis Cold Case" series of novels! Just as I raved about the third novel in the series, I can offer up equal praise for this fourth novel, a book that held me in its grip from start to finish. From the first scene, Carly won my sympathy and my heart as she struggled to find freedom from the most harrowing circumstances imaginable. I can't begin to appreciate the horror of being caught up in the world of sex trafficking. Bradley does an excellent job of depicting that world without miring the reader in feelings of hopelessness, because Bradley allows the reader to cheer on the characters as they find the courage to overcome the past.
Readers who are looking for romantic overtones in the books they choose will definitely enjoy the journey that Carly finds herself on and the way that love enters her life. Likewise, they will also appreciate Carly's spiritual transformation as she struggles with forgiveness, but in God's strength finds the power to do so.
Bradley doesn't let up the pacing from the get-go as she throws one twist after another at the reader, resulting in a book that entertains in every way. I am certain that readers who are eager for anything labelled "romantic suspense" will be certainly pleased with this novel. I award this book a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars and recommend you grab a copy (and the entire series if you haven't yet tried these books).

Justice Delivered by Patricia Bradley is fabulous contemporary Christian crime suspense. It is the fourth book in the Memphis cold Case series but can be read as a stand-alone. Once more cold cases are linked to present day crimes in the form of kidnap and trafficking. Without any morals or scruples there is a gang operating that needs to be found and taken down. There is the theme of identity as the reader and the characters seek the identity of the perpetrators. Names are important as without the correct name, people are harder to track. New names sometimes link to changed identities. There is no honour among thieves. Everyone is out for themselves. Trust is in short supply. In contrast there are some huge hearts who seek to protect and save the vulnerable. There are themes of justice, revenge and forgiveness. Sometimes we find it hard to forgive but we need to remember that we have been forgiven and so we must forgive. To withhold forgiveness will always damage us. Justice Delivered was an exciting read. I read it with heart racing, completely immersed in the action, as the tension rose. I have loved this Memphis Cold Case series. It has been absorbing and thrilling. I received this book for free. A favourable review was not required and all views expressed are my own.
Wonderful suspense filled book in the Memphis Cold Case series. With most books I like to read them in order but this one could easily be read as a stand alone book. If you decide to read the others which are as good as this one you won't receive any spoilers that will ruin the books for you when you do decide to read them. This book is about a woman, Heather as a teen was kidnapped and forced into prostitution for 8 years. While in bondage her captors gave he the name Jasmine. When she was able to escape and make a new life for herself she reinvents herself and gives herself a new name of Carly. She has done well for herself and has even gotten a college education and works as a drug abuse counselor. She is concerned that her traffickers are still at it and travels to Memphis to get some closure. She does not realize that by asking questions she puts herself and her loved ones in danger. Her niece is kidnapped and it is a race of time to rescue her before the unthinkable happens to her niece.
JUSTICE DELIVERED by Patricia Bradley is a riveting page-turner. Book 4 in the Memphis Cold Case Series it stands alone, those Nick and Maggie are continuing characters. I enjoyed getting to know Carly and Logan as Carly had major issues to work through and Logan was a man from her past that she didn't trust. Understandably. I figured out one of the whodunits right away, and guessed another correctly, but another one caught me by surprise. There were a lot of twists and turns that I never saw coming and the hits never stopped coming for Carly, the detectives and the poor child caught in the web.
Ms Bradley is one of my top ten favorite romantic suspense authors and I love this series. If you like romantic suspense, give JUSTICE DELIVERED a try. I was given a copy free. All opinions are my own.
I devoured this book! The 4th in the Memphis Cold Case Series was exciting and thrilling and I could not out it down! With human tracking as the main plot point, this book is compelling and you can't help but fall in love with the characters as they try to catch the evil men behind the crimes. I had been eagerly anticipating this book since reading the rest of the series last summer, and I am happy that it did not disappoint. This along with book 2 of the set are my favorites in the series. If you love an exciting suspenseful Christian Fiction read, the do not miss this book!
I received this book from NetGalley and was not required to post a positive review. All thoughts are my own.
Patricia Bradley delivers one of her absolute best! Fans will not want to miss out on this installment of the Memphis Cold Case series.
After years of being a victim of sex trafficking, Carly Smith has made her way out and is trying got find a new life for herself. Trusting others come isn’t something that she is ready to do just yet, and no matter how hard she tries to leave her past behind her it continues to haunt her. She knows she should have gone to the police when she first got away, but she fears if she goes to the police they won’t believe her or worse, might just send her back to the people who held her captive. When she finally feels comfortable to reach out to her family and reconnects with her sister, she thinks all is well until her sister ends up dead and her niece is kidnapped. Carly must face her fears and come forward with what she knows to save her family. When all else fails. she takes matters into her own hands and goes after the kidnappers herself.
There was something about this story that really drew me in more than any others in the series so far. The topic can be sensitive but unfortunately it is currently something we must deal with. Patricia Bradley did an outstanding job of tackling a hard subject in an engaging and entertaining way for readers. Carly is strong through all she must endure and is able to use that to help others, especially her family when the time comes. Her fear of going to others for help is understandable after all she has been through and had others turn on her when she thought she could really trust them. I really enjoyed the way the relationship between her and Maggie played out. Almost all the secondary characters brought the story onto a whole new level, the story brought in aspects from the whole series and it was great to see the way the different characters interacted together. For fans of the series, I highly recommend diving deep into Justice Delivered and savoring the story. If you haven’t ever read anything by Patricia Bradley, I strongly recommend reading this one, even if you haven’t read the others in the series it will be ok to start here. Each book can essentially be read as a stand-alone if it needs to be or enjoyed as a whole series.
I received a complimentary copy of this title from the publisher. The views and opinions expressed within are my own.
Justice Delivered by Patricia Bradley is an exciting ride that lives up to its name!
While the story is exciting, romantic, and expertly written, I do need to put a trigger warning on it. The author does an awesome job raising awareness for sex trafficking, but the story may be painful to anyone who has been abused (especially sexually), has a loved one that has been abused, or has a loved one that has fought the chains of sexual addiction.
That said, Justice Delivered was an excellent story!
I enjoyed how the author laid out not only Carly and Logan's story but also David and Maggie's story. It felt like you got two unique stories and two sweet romances that merged into one suspenseful adventure! For the most part, you know who the bad guy(s) are, but that didn't bother me. The suspenseful part of the story was the thrill of the chase as the characters fight to save Carly's niece and catch the bad guy(s). Even though you know there's going to be a happy ending, the author did a wonderful job at keeping the stakes raised with tension that guaranteed the frantic turning of pages!
The spiritual side of the story really dived into forgiving others -- especially those who do NOT deserve forgiveness -- and living outside of the chains of fear after trauma. This is not an easy message to swallow, and I loved how the author approached this with tact, love, and kindness.
Four Stars ~ Justice Delivered by Patricia Bradley is a thrilling, heartbreaking story with a happy ending! Justice Delivered is the fourth book in Patricia Bradley's Memphis Cold Case Series from Revell. It can be read as a standalone, but some of the characters/storyline are introduced in the first book of the series. For that reason, readers might find the story more satisfying if they read the books in order.

Patricia Bradley's "Justice Delivered" could have been ripped from today's headlines about human trafficking and the trauma left in its wake. Carly Smith was kidnapped and sold to a sex trafficking ring. After 16 years, she had finally escaped and started a new life, but she was never able to let go of her fear or her obsessive desire for justice.
Because of her trust issues, especially with men and law enforcement, she refuses to file a report or tell anyone of her experience. When her niece is kidnapped, she must overcome her fear and learn to trust the people who are trying to find her.
I struggled with this story at first. Two pages in and I was emotionally vested in the characters and the story. I knew what was going to happen (it's on the back cover), and I was concerned that things were not going to turn out okay. The problem with human trafficking is that "real life" stories rarely end well. How could Bradley pull it off?
But halfway through the book, I discovered that the true depth of courage is moving on, doing the hard things and learning to trust others. Can you really trust Patricia Bradley though? Few suspense writers can weave a story that captures your mind and your heart and keeps you guessing, but Bradley offers plot twists that will keep you reading long after reasonable people would find a bookmark and go to sleep.

Carly Smith is an alcohol and addiction counselor at a camp for girls, she is a survivor herself, a former victim of sex trafficking and drug addiction. When she discovers that the man who lured her into that dark world of sex trafficking is still at large and luring other girls to the same fate under the guise of being a modelling agent.
When her niece is kidnapped, she decides to take action and go after the perpetrators, along with her brother-in-law, his girlfriend, Maggie, and Logan, a man from her past.
A fast-paced thriller, that though it is a part of a series, stands alone and is more of a companion to the previous books as they are minimally related. A chilling read, about a difficult topic, Carly is very brave and is working hard to start over and carve out a fresh start, she doesn't want to relive her past, and I admired her courage in facing her past. She wants to do whatever she can to help bring her niece home. She has her personal struggles with faith and trust, and I think she was a stronger character because of her vulnerabilities.
I liked David and Maggie, he is a cold case investigator and she is a defense attorney. They find their faith and their relationship tested by their respective jobs, finding common ground working to bring Lexi home. I liked the scenes with them together, they have great interaction.
Overall, a suspenseful and action-packed read, with inspiring characters, great character building and relationships, as well as faith. A well-rounded story, and fantastic read. Advised for older readers due to the more mature subject matter.

Justice Delivered sets up Carly's story with a prologue taking place in 2010 and 2012 before jumping to the present, where the action really begins. Carly, a sex trafficking survivor, has built a life for herself as a substance abuse counselor. But when she learns a new patient was traffickedby the same man who abducted and sold her, she realizes it's time to return to Memphis and face her past.
Carly's story is filled with twists and turns as it quickly becomes clear that someone is out to get her, and she doesn't know whom to trust. She also reconnects with her ex-boyfriend Logan, the man she was dating when she was abducted ... the man she always suspected was involved with her kidnapping. But now Logan is a police officer assigned to protect her. The question is, is he trustworthy? (I'll admit I flipped to the back of the book to find out, something I rarely do!)
While I fairly quickly pegged the majority of the bad guys, I didn't have their connections to Carly and/or motivations completely figured out, and I enjoyed watching everything unfold.
Also, David & Maggie, whose romance has wound its way through the series, finally see their story wrapped up, which I enjoyed. (This book totally works as a stand-alone novel; a few characters from previous novels appear, but not in any way that requires you to know their stories.)
Overall, this is a thrilling, can't-put-it-down book that's so enjoyable. Definitely my favorite in the series! 4-1/2 stars.
Disclosure of material connection: I received this book from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review, and the opinions expressed are my own.
Wow. This book was exceptional. The characters were extremely realistic in their actions and they just had a way that drew the reader to them. Patricia Bradley knows how to balance the past and present within the story to create a masterpiece. The author also did an excellent job of making it difficult to guess the ending until the ending. Justice Delivered does deal with the harsh reality of human trafficking but she does it in a sensitive way that is not too much for most readers. Nothing is detailed, but I would not recommend this to those who are sensitive to this dark topic. I do have to mention that the cover appears to be very a very-outdated mass market paperback but I changed my mind after reading about the bracelet. It is something important to the story and I appreciate how the cover reflects that. All that said, I have a new favorite suspense author and will be looking forward to reading more by Patricia Bradley in the future.
