When she wakes up in a hospital, Lane knows that losing the battle with a surfboard isn’t the only thing that is wrong with her head. She’s not sure what is worse; the amnesia from her accident, or the voice inside her mind that insists that she is being inhabited by a mermaid named Triana.
Lane’s refusal to accept her cohabitation is only one of the many problems Triana has to face in Settlers as she sorts through her jumbled memories of whom she knows and who she can trust. Esmerilla is still determined to dominate the world, and Triana must continue to share bodies with others while trying to save New Kyra and Earth. Despite having new allies, Triana still feels alone when she realizes that the only way to stop Esmerilla may require sacrificing everything.
First just a quick reminder on how I rate: ⭐️ hate it ⭐️⭐️not really a fan. It’s boring ⭐️⭐️⭐️I enjoyed it. I would recommend it to people that might like that genre. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I loved it!!! I’m almost obsessed with it but I’m gonna hold back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This is an all time favorite book for me! I am 100% completely obsessed. But about this book!!! I’m gonna do this in list form. So the things I liked: 1. Traveling merpeople...duh 🧜♀️🧜♂️ 2. Pop culture references galore! (I’m talking to you Gilmore Girls fans!) 3. Glimpses into historical events 4. A fast moving plot. (Faster paced than the first, Triana and Alexio start right in the middle of their adventure/quest and you’re along for the ride!)
Do you like mermaids? History? And time travel? Then this book is for you. It's full of historical events and pop culture mixed in. As always love her books.
