It's a delight to spend more time in Wrangler's Corner! The book is the seventh installment and I'm hoping it runs to at least a ten-book series! Emily is a scientist new to the Nashville area and Toby (brother to Zoe from earlier in the series) is ex-CIA and now working as a college professor. With a weaponized virus in the question and Robin as a witness to the exchange, she's on the run for her life, and somehow the bad guys keep catching up with her and shooting at her. But thanks to a head injury, she can't recall the identity of the buyer of the virus.

Toby's got a big job. Keeping Robin safe from her pursuers is no easy task, and they can't even stop to think without the killers catching up to them. They take refuge in Wrangler's Corner and Clay, Lance, and the rest are ready to help someone else stay alive. It was great to see how folks didn't stop to count the cost of their own lives when it came to protecting someone else.

The suspense is forefront, leaving the romance to the side a bit, which is exactly how I like it—just enough shown that we believe they would make a good couple. The bad guys almost surprised me—I had it narrowed down to three possibilities and, sure enough, it was one of the three. In all, a very good suspense and enjoyable read.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a free reading copy. A favorable review was not required.

This is a fantastic page turner that had me enthralled from the explosive start to the very end. Robin Hardy is a scientist who witnesses a colleague at her University being murdered. She runs but an explosion as she does so results in her forgetting everything that has happened in the last six months - which includes starting work at the University. She's unsure just who she should trust but agrees to go with another professor, Toby Potter, when he tries to shelter her from those still seeking to kill her. . . . They have a history but she can't remember just what, but she feels safe with him most of the time. As they go on the run to escape those trying to silence her this is an action packed story, full of suspense, snipers, double crossing, secrets and Robin's slowly returning memory. Will Toby manage to keep her safe until she can identify the murderers and reveal just what she witness? Will she remember why she was so angry with Toby - and if she does, will she still trust him to keep her safe?

It is part of a series but works well as a standalone. It has well developed characters, is a riveting read with a well thought out plot that is full of twists and turns to keep you guessing and turning the pages. Toby is conflicted in just what he should reveal to Robin because he is worried about how she'll respond to the knowledge. The attraction between them is always there but so is their reticence to act upon it - he knows why but she's forgotten. Although it is set around the festive season, Christmas doesn't play a major role in the story until the end so it can easily be read at any time of year. As physical danger lurks around every corner, this is a lovely suspense filled read that I have no hesitation in highly recommending.

I requested and was given a copy of this book, via NetGalley. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.

Holiday Amnesia was an enjoyable one time read. I liked the amnesia aspect (surprise, surprise. lol) and the characters were nice. I was happy that this story didn't have her regain her memory right away and instead she gradually remembered things. It felt more realistic that way.

The beginning few chapters were intense and pulled me right into the story; however, as I continued reading, I found myself getting bored with the book and so I didn't mind when it was over. The ending was cute and wrapped things up nicely.

All in all, I liked Holiday Amnesia.

FTC Disclosure: I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley, but I also purchased a copy (and the purchased copy is the one I read). These are my honest thoughts.

This is my favorite Wrangler's Corner book. Oh, I've enjoyed all the previous ones, sure. But this one just went to the next level of awesome. A couple of good red herrings, and juicy plot with amnesia mixed in, and delightful leads that I could root for all day (if I had a voice left from this ridiculous sinus infection I've currently got). I wish this series would continue forever, because each book is better than the previous one, which means it's a series that builds beautifully with each fresh installment. Just the sort of series I adore following! Bring on the next one, Mrs. Eason. I'm ready!

Holiday Amnesia features a romance between a woman who gets amnesia after witnessing a crime and the man who protects her.

Robin Hardy is working late on her research in the university lab when she hears two men arguing. After she goes to check it out, she witnesses the two men being killed before the killer chases her through the building before he sets off an explosion. Injured in the blast, Robin loses all memory of the attack as well as the last six months of her life. Under the protection of Toby Potter, former CIA and a colleague of Robin's, Robin works to regain her memories as her attackers continue to chase them. With her attackers dogging them at every turn, Robin and Toby need to find somewhere safe to hide long enough for Robin's memory to return.

The Love Inspired Suspense line isn't my favorite of Harlequin's lines but the premise of this story, a Christmas romance featuring amnesia, intrigued me enough to want to check it out. The suspense plot was interesting and I liked the constant danger surrounding Robin as it kept things fast paced. I also thought the threat of a potential bioweapon was a good choice as it increased the need for Robin to get her memory back. Unfortunately I thought the person ultimately behind everything was a bit too obvious and I called them as the bad guy pretty much immediately. That kind of killed off the suspense as it was not just a matter of waiting for them to make their move. The romance between Robin and Toby is extremely minor to the story. While they do individually express their feelings for each other, it's almost background filler in that it's so unimportant to what's going on. Also, the holiday aspect of the story was very minor which was a bit of a disappointment.

Ultimately Holiday Amnesia ended up not working for me and showed me I should trust my instincts and probably avoid Love Inspired Suspense books in the future.

A woman gets attacked at her workplace after witnessing a crime, and though she manages to escape, her injuries leave her with amnesia that erases the previous six months of her life. A man who deceived her in the course of her FBI job is the first to find her, and even though she has no memory of him (or of the fact that she's mad at him) she lets him try to protect her from the people who are trying to finish killing her.

The story is, frankly, 1 - not holiday related, it just occasionally mentions Christmas decorations and 2 - not much of a romance? There's a lot of action, so much of it that our two leads barely ever have a quiet moment to spend together. Since he is already in love with her before the start and she doesn't even remember him for most of the book, there's no development or romance going on. They're just two people continually (and I do mean continually) on the run. Most of the page time is devoted to the characters discussing plans in excruciating detail, down to tracking each and every one of the 42398742 side characters who drop in to help, even if they're only there for a second. Talk about plan -> conduct plan -> bad guys screw up the plan -> talk about a new plan. Repeat ad nauseam for 288 pages. It was at least a quick read, and the action pretty fun.

This is another book from the Love Inspired Suspense line that Mills & Boon has packaged into the Intrigue line. It came in a duo with Witness In The Woods, otherwise I likely wouldn't have read it, as I am not the intended audience for the Love Inspired Suspense line. (Mills & Boon have stopped doing this now, and are publishing Love Inspired Suspense books as part of the Romantic Suspense line, but clearly marking them as Love Inspired. As they should, because it's a sneaky trick, otherwise.)

This has heroine Robin Hardy witnessing an exchange between a colleague and another person about a virus that her colleague was creating. Then she sees them both shot and killed! After an explosion in the lab knocks her unconscious, Robin wakes up with amnesia. She can't remember the last six months of her life.

Coming to her aid is colleague Toby Potter. He is former CIA and originally got close to Robin as a favour to his friend, Ben, who is now in the FBI and suspected something was going on in the lab. A mysterious email sent to Robin exposed his ruse and she was furious at him. Of course, with the current amnesia, Robin can't remember this, and Toby tries to keep it that way so he can keep her safe while going on the run with her from those who want to kill her.

Toby winds up in Wrangler's Corner, where his sister and lots of other family live. And they remain there, even though Robin's pursuers know they're there and attack her! I suppose that's because, if they took off again, Lynette Eason wouldn't have been able to have all the characters from previous books in the Wrangler's Corner series show up for a cameo. There were so many extraneous characters running around, I had trouble keeping them apart.

There are a couple of okay action and suspense bits, but the story and characters were flat. Robin spends the whole book resting because of her concussion, biting her lip and having tears come to her eyes, along with the usual martyr-ish exclamations of, "I'm putting people in danger and that makes me the worst person ever!" The identity of the big bad is entirely obvious and, to be honest, a bit nonsensical.

The religious aspect is quite minor. For the most part, it would actually be easy to mistake this as a lower-rent entry in the Intrigue line. Romance aspect is very, very chaste (of course.)

I had a love/hate reaction to this book. On the one hand, I am an addict for romantic suspense! On the other, I am also a huge holiday romance nut! This book is marketed as both a holiday romance and a suspense romance. There was no lack of action, adventure and suspense in this book, and it was hard to put down my Kindle! On the other hand though, I din't really feel it was a holiday romance. Yes, the book took place over the holidays, but there wasn't that real connection to the holiday, the nostalgia and family connections you tend to have in a holiday romance. There wasn't a sense of magic, literal or figurative. I've read so many holiday romances, it was refreshing that this was a bit different, but I feel it shouldn't be marketed as holiday romance.
That aside, the book was really enjoyable, and super intense! I may re-read this book next spring, just to see if my feelings towards the book change. I really liked the story, I was just expecting something different than I got.
If I were able to give this book a split rating, I would rate the romantic suspense a 5 star rating, and the holiday romance a 2.

Non-stop, vehement, and fierce action, constant danger, and deadly consequences kept me on the edge throughout the story. The web of mystery is a muddled mess, the clues are few and far in-between, the law enforcement is scraping their resources to keep Robin alive, to let her heal so her memory would return, and then to bring some light into the chaotic, lethal case in their hands.
The story is hard to put down once you start it, the clueless atmosphere, the deadly peril, the tension between Robin and Toby, are all aspects that kept my interest high.
Even though the story has the main focus on the intense suspense, the growing romance between Robin and Toby was believable, because of their previous status as close friends. Even though there was tension caused by the revealed secrets and lies, it was palpable how much they cared for each other, despite the fact that Robin could not remember him or their friendship prior to the explosion. The struggle and growth they both go through, the guilt from the past, the forgiveness, and redemption is as evident as their growing attraction and need to protect each other.
The explosive crescendo towards the end, the reveal of the bad guys, and their motives hits hard, fast, and deep bringing some surprises despite the hints given throughout the tale.
I enjoyed this fastpaced story and the ferocious action and suspense. It is entertaining and engrossing, it is sweet and touching, and it's edgy. The characters from the previous stories in the series are present in many of the scenes, and at times I felt a bit overwhelmed with the number of people marching through the pages while the hunt for the culprits was at its most intense.
If you love stories that deliver heart-stoppingly thrilling suspense and clean, sweet romance, where a family is at the center of the tale, and faith in God is assumed notion, if not much talked about, you are going to enjoy the Holiday Amnesia, as well as the other intensely entertaining books of the Wrangler's Corner series.

Lynette Eason takes her readers back to Wrangler 's Corner for yet another wonderful suspense novel. With danger and nearly continuous attempts in her life, Robin Hardy is compelled to trust the one man she feels has betrayed her. Toby Potter knows he shouldn't have lied to Robin, but now he just has to keep her from getting killed . Recommended..

3.5. Listened to the audiobook. Started out interesting but the drama & romance overpassed the action, which wasn’t my preference. Fairly good mystery overall.

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK

Another wow book from Lynette Eason. And don’t let Love Inspired stop you from reading this. Sadly I’ve heard people that don’t read LI and they sure don’t know what they are missing! This is on of the best from Ms. Eason! I stayed most of the night reading Holiday Amnesia because I didn’t want to put it down until it was finished.

Robin Hardy survived a shooting and an explosion at the University lab she was working. But when the FBI guy working in the case involving her got to her, he heard a hit for her life, and to make things worse, she couldn’t remember the last 6 months of her life. Who wanted Robin dead and why?

This is such an amazing story full of thrills and lots of emotions of all kinds. Since Robin couldn’t remember, she wasn’t sure she could trust Toby, but she had no choice. Someone wanted he off the planet, and she had no where to go, no means of supporting herself. But everywhere they went to hideout, someone attacks, is it an inside job? Are there dirty law enforcements inside hunting Robin down?

One thing for sure, this story takes readers on a chase they will long remember. At some point I get impatient and think, why don’t you just get this person any way you can? I mean can’t they shoot their tires out or shoot them to hurt not kill when they are chasing on foot? But then I realize there wouldn’t be any fun reading a book that’s half the pages, and no fun in reading all of the chases and different ways the evil people work. So I realize I don’t know it all! And I love all it all!!

Another thing I love about Ms. Easons Books is the way she weaves the Christian life in the lives of her characters. I don’t always mention this, but it’s why I love Christian fiction so much! And an author that can do this and not sound preachy is a professional that does her job well!

This is a really good Christmas fiction to read! I highly recommend Holiday Amnesia! I received this book from Love Inspired Suspense and Nergalley to read and review. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 55.

"Holiday Amnesia" is a romantic suspense novel. Though a part of a series, it worked as a standalone. The hero and heroine knew each other before the story began and basically were already in love. Then the heroine witnesses a crime and gets a blow to the head when her lab is blown up. She can't remember that she really liked him or that she was angry at him. He's afraid she'll reject his protection if she remembers their argument. He wants her forgiveness, and having people repeatedly try to kill you helps put things in perspective.

The suspense came from the constant physical danger to the heroine and those protecting her while she struggled to remember who attacked her and also from her uncertainty about whom she should trust. The characters were likable and acted realistically. There was no bad language or sex. Overall, I'd recommend this enjoyable novel.

I received an ebook review copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley.

This is the seventh and last book of the Wranglers Corner series, my favorite series by this author.

Negative Content or Triggers.

A mention of a woman thinking that the only memories she had of her parents were angry screams and the blue lights of police cars bouncing on her bedroom walls.

A mention of a pool of blood gathering beneath the head of a man who had been shot.

A bad guy call the men who had worked for him incompetent fools.

A man is out walking with a woman and pulls the woman close and nuzzles her neck.

This book was full of exciting scenes and unexpected turns, and a book that I would easily recommend to anyone who is interested in Christian Fiction and Love Inspired Suspense. A wonderful end to this series.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Holiday Amnesia. This is the seventh book in the Wrangler's Corner Series. I really enjoy Lynette's books and I'm always thrilled to get one in the mail. This series has been awesome. This story is well written, action packed and full of faith. You can't beat that formula. You are going to love this one.

Dr. Robin Hardy is in her lab at the university when she hears arguing and then witnesses a murder. She runs to the restroom and locks herself in. The lab explodes and she is thrown down and hits her head on the tile floor. She struggles to escape by breaking out a window. She is then chased by the attackers. She is rescued by a fellow professor. Can she trust him? Why can't she remember what happened? Why are these men after her?

Former CIA Professor Toby Potter sees Robin's car in the parking lot. He has come to apologize to her. He has kept things from her and it has harmed their relationship. Being undercover and investigating the lab there were things he couldn't share. But he has come to care deeply for Robin. He runs toward the explosion to try to find her. He must save her. More explosions are taking place but the heat is unbearable. He goes to the back door to get in and search for her but didn't find her. He gives up and heads for his car when he hears a crash and sees someone escape from a broken window. He follows and find her but there are men waiting for her. Can he keep her safe? Will she let him after their fight?

A struggle of two broken souls struggling to find answers for the attacks and why someone wants them dead and what is going on at the lab. God has a plan for these two; a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too. You might not have killers out there chasing you but you do have an enemy that is out to steal, kill, and destroy you and your family. (Most people don't even believe he is real) Give God your heart and watch Him turn things around. Jesus said I came to give life and that more abundantly. God is so good.

"Those are voices I am hearing. I shouldn't be hearing voices. I thought I was alone in the lab." Dr. Robin Hardy is having these thoughts just before cautiously going to investigate. She finds a coworker having a very unsettling discussion with another man. Then - bang! She has witnessed a murder. Bang! Bang! More gunshots just outside the entrance to the lab. This shooter sees her and starts chasing her through the lab. Robin runs into the men's room trying to evade her pursuer. BOOM! An explosion and fire. Robin is knocked about then finds herself trapped. She finally manages to escape the burning building. Unfortunately this is just the beginning of her problems.

Professor Tony Potter is driving by the lab building on campus and notices Robin's car in the parking lot. He knows Robin is not the least bit happy with him at the moment. He hears the boom and sees the smoke and flames. "Robin is in there I've got to get her out," are his first thoughts. He does finally find Robin after her escape from the burning building. Now they go on the run to keep Robin safe. Tony is a former CIA agent. He can protect her. Can't he?

Holiday Amnesia by Lynette Eason is the seventh book in her Wrangler's Corner series. This can be easily read without having to read the previous books in the series. The author starts this story with lots of action and the action and suspense continue throughout. Her storyline is well-thought-out with interesting plot twists. She has written strong, fascinating characters in Robin and Troy. I love how Robin stands strong and doesn't let anyone boss her around. Tony is very brave and courageous. This story is definitely a page-turner. It was great getting to read about characters from earlier books in the series.

I've been reading and recommending Lynette Eason's books for a lot of years. Her romantic suspense is always spot-on, with enough nail-biting tenseness, offset by a (usually) slow-burn romance, with a hefty dose of faith thrown in. Her female characters are always strong, smart, and very capable of "taking care of themselves" even when doing so is pretty ill-advised. I've often wanted to shout at the books, "What happened to 'waiting for backup???""

Holiday Amnesia starts with a bang - literally - when Robin Hardy's university lab blows up. She barely escapes with her life, but she doesn't escape with her memories. As killers track her down, can fellow professor Toby Potter keep her safe?

Toby Potter quit his job with the CIA and walked away from the undercover life. Working as a professor at the same university as Robin, he befriends her at the request of his former boss, Ben. There is a bio-weapon being auctioned, and the FBI needs to know if Robin is involved. When the lab blows up, taking Robin's memory with it, Toby knows she's in danger. When his boss is killed, Toby and Robin are left hanging with no one to trust. Can they stay steps ahead of the killers until Robin regains her memory of who is behind everything?

I will say that I had this one figured out almost the first time the "bad guy" stepped on the scene, but it was still an exciting read. This is book 7 of Ms. Eason's Wrangler's Corners series, and many of the characters from earlier books make an appearance, and a huge difference in the outcome, in this story.

I will always recommend any book written by Lynette Eason. Her books are consistently well done, even those in the shorter LIS line.

Robin is trying to get over a betrayal of a friend by distracting herself in her work in the lab when she over hears something she wasn't supposed to. Then she finds herself running for a her life and ends up getting knocked out. When she recovers there seems to be a gap in her memory and she is fleeing with Toby Potter when a few attempts is made on her life. Things get exposed slowly but surely as her memory returns.

You know what I was going to say that this book was pretty predictable but on second thought this book managed to surprise me. I loved that there was so much going on. There was plenty attempts on her life then there was the curiosity if there was really something going on in the inside where maybe a fellow cop might be behind things that were going on. I loved that even thought there was a bit of a romance between the two there wasn't much of it to overpower the book. Also just going to put this out there the title of the book it kinda misleading. I thought that this book was going to have some holiday themes thrown into it, some suggestion that it is during the holiday and there wasn't so that title was a bit misleading to me. But putting that aside this book was pretty great I really enjoyed it.

Another new author for me....story had parts that I think wouldn't happen in real life but it was a suspensive novel.

Robin Hardy was working in her university lab when things started to happen....a man shot two men in the lab over a 'creative virus' and was seen by Robin. The killer started after Robin who got into a bathroom, broke the window and jumped out...she hit her head hard but managed to drag herself into the bushes and elude her enemy. The lab caught on fire by a bomb.

She was rescued by Toby Potter who was a teacher at her university but they had had an argument. He protected her so carefully but lost contact with her as she was kidnapped by the killer who didn't want to kill her unless Toby was there to watch her die.

I figured out who was the killer about half way through and why he was doing what he was doing...he wanted Toby to watch Robin die so he would know why he was doing these cruel things.

Robin Hardy witnesses a murder and runs for her life. Before she can get away from the killer and out of the building an explosion occurs in her university lab. She survives, but the blow from the blast causes her to hit her head and lose her memory. Toby Potter sees the explosion from the parking lot and knows Robin's still inside. He rescues her, but bullets start flying. Someone wants Robin dead.

With her memory gone, Robin doesn't know who to trust. Who is Toby? Why was he at the scene? Did he work at the university? He saved her from her attackers, so maybe he can be trusted. At least he hadn't tried to kill her yet.

I had a hard time putting this book down. The suspense in Holiday Amnesia had me hanging on as I kept trying to figure out which character was the killer. Another super book by Lynette Eason.

I really liked this book. Robin doesn't remember Toby, but he seems to be the only one trying to keep her alive instead of kill her. I love their interactions and the extra sense that Robin gets about their relationship. There is plenty of action and difficulty to stay safe throughout the story.

Toby really was a good guy and I felt bad that he got put into the situation he did. I felt even worse with who the bad guy turned out to be. I was sure that was who it was going to be but hoped not. The author did a good job with the storyline.

It was a 5/5 for me.

I love a book that I can read in one sitting, and this one was one that sure made me page turn and want to find out the answers.
The author had me stumped, why would someone want a lab tech dead, yes, she does witness a couple of murders, but there is a lot more going on here.
There is a bit of sweet romance, but mostly people are trying to stay alive.
One problem I had was the title, Christmas only comes in the epilogue, but I was kept on my toes, and really surprised at who the culprit was, yes, I was blind-sided, and really didn’t figure this one out until the end.
If you like a book with almost nonstop action you don’t want to miss this one!

I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Harlequin, and was not required to give a positive review.

Since this was Book 7, my fault, but there are a lot of other characters in this book and I can’t keep them all straight so I assume you should probably read this series in order. Again, my fault, not a ratings issue. I was looking for a Christmas suspense romance. This was a little short on the romance and holidays, but it was quite action-y so that part was good. There were also some discrepancies in the scenes. For example, in one scene 2 FBI agents tell the hero that someone was killed in an accident. Later, hero tells the heroine that this person was murdered, then a page later he tells her that he doesn’t think it was an accident. I also got a little bogged down in Robin’s head with her trying to work things out with the amnesia. It got a little repetitious.

I love going back to Wrangler's Corner. This time for Tobby Potter and Robin Hardy's story. I love the way the story started with a bang. Its got alot of action and mystery in this story. Its a story about forgiveness and revenge. Also sadly in some ways hate. Its a great story for you don't realize who the bad guy is til towards the end and it almost breaks your heart in away. Its well written for it shows how Robin is given a chance at a second love. Thru lost memories she actually gets to see Toby for who he is. Its a great book and I love her stories. Looking forward to her next one.
