Anytime I have the chance to read another book by Beth Carpenter, I jump at the chance. Her characters are always well-defined and warm – including the state of Alaska which is a supporting character to this series (and appears warm-hearted in spite of the frigid temps). The breathtaking scenery is easy to grasp hold of with the imagination, and it only fuels my #lifegoal of visiting Alaska.

Another thing I love about Carpenter’s stories is the way her love of dogs shines through in the furry sup

It was the Alaskan setting of this series that initially drew me to it, and it’s Beth Carpenter’s smooth writing, warm characters, and creative storytelling that keep me coming back to her books. Northern Lights is a great series of stories with connected characters that you get to revisit, although each story stands alone. The stories are clean and I’ve greatly enjoyed each one.

First of all, the setting is fabulous, and I love visiting Alask

An Alaskan Proposal is the fourth installment from Beth Carpenter’s series, Northern Lights. It is, also, my first introduction to the series, as well as, her writing. It is fun, delightful, and sweet. I just loved the chemistry between Sabrina and Leith. They were so fun together and I could not help but to giggle at some of the scenes. Just a wonderful beautiful and adorable story. I could not put it down until I was finished with it a few hours later.

I received this book for free from the Prism Book Tours in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. What is more important love or security?
An Alaskan Proposal by Beth Carpenter is delightful. I enjoyed visiting the spectacular places in Alaska along with Sabrina. Did you know that there is silicon cookware for camping? Yep, there is, and it collapses for easy storage and to fit in your backpack. Apparently, I need to get out more.

Another great book in the Northern Lights series! I really enjoyed the easy friendship that developed between Leith and Sabrina, although I didn't understand how they could keep their relationship casual once the kissing started. I loved the Alaskan setting and all the camping and exploring described. It made me want to pack up and escape to the mountains! Even though Sabrina begins inexperienced in the outdoors and more comfortable with high fashion, her genuine personality shone through as sh ...more

I really enjoyed this story by Beth. Watching Leith get his happy ending was nice to see. I liked Sabrina Bell her gutsiness. This story was a great read for it brought together people from previous stories and brought the story to life. Beth brings her stories to life and makes it hard to put a book down. I know I was burning the midnight oil last night. Its a beautiful story of acceptance and of letting go. I love reading Beth's stories about Alaska. In this story Beth shows us that you need t ...more

Such a sweet romance!

I love the Alaskan setting of this series, and the people in it are just wonderful too. I loved Sabrina and Leith, and watching them go from two people who aren't quite sure what to make of the other to friends to more was just delightful.

When they first met, it was easy for Leith to put Sabrina into the same category of his ex-wife. She seemed to be overly concerned with fashion, unfamiliar with the outdoors, and less concerne

First impressions should never last. And that’s the case when Leith meets Sabrina. The woman appears to be exactly the opposite of anyone he wants to hang out with—clueless about the outdoors but deceitful about it and high maintenance. Yet, when Sabrina strikes a deal with him, he unearths the many layers of this woman.

Despite her new job working for a large outdoor outfitter, Sabrina’s inexperience when it comes to anything outdoorsy is often humorous, but her drive and kindness are what leave

Beth Carpenter's descriptively toned voice makes us feel like we're right there in picturesque Alaska in the latest from her Northern Lights series! The gorgeous setting is divine, the characters nab our attention quickly and their sweet love story warms soul throughout. Lots of heart, riddled with emotion and just an overall fun read. A nice addition to this wonderful series!

5 Stars. This was such an enjoyable story. I was hooked at chapter one. Sabrina and Leith are the cutest couple and their budding romance was fun to read. The plot is not only engaging; it’s a learning tool in camping, fishing, and wildlife. As with the previous books in this series, the author places the reader in a breathtaking setting. This story will make you smile and laugh. As a dog person, the two adorable dogs were an additional bonus to the story line. Camping, fishing, and attending a ...more

Forever and Always
I've enjoyed reading Leith and Sabrina's story. He was that man "who would do whatever it took to keep her safe and happy." :) The outdoorsy experience makes it even more fun to read, especially with an Explosion Girl in the picture. I've learned couple survival skills myself in the process!

I received an ARC of this book for review. I was not required to write a favorable review. All opinions in this review are my own.

An Alaskan Proposal was the first book I’ve read by Beth Carpenter, but it certainly won’t be my last! In fact, I’ve already looked up her previous books and bought a couple of them, and can’t wait to read them. An Alaskan Proposal was an easy read, can’t-put-down type of book. I love Beth Carpenter’s writing style, and having an Alaskan setting was wonderful.

3.5-4 stars.

Well, this was fun.

Here we have Sabrina and Leith. She’s new to Alaska, and is also a temporary home for her; contrary to Leith, who’s lived there since forever and has no intentions of leaving.

Sabrina asks for his help in trying to fit in with her new job (‘cause she knows nothing about the outdoors) and he needs her help in a few friends/family situations.

Anyway, I loved reading about these two, how different they seemed but the more we got to know them, the more we realized they w

Another Northern Lights novel, in which Sabrina Bell, eager to get a job that won't end quickly, applies for a management position with an outdoor equipment company. To get that position, she has to endure testing by showing that she's knowledgeable about their product in their Alaska store. But Sabrina has never been to Alaska, nor has camping been one of her fortes. When she creates an accident that could have ended badly, Sabrina reluctantly asks for help from Leith Jordan. He's an expert in ...more

An Alaskan Proposal truly warms the heart, as do all Beths' stories. Sabrina and Leith’s story, as well as the story of their two dogs, is an absolute pleasure to read!! It was funny and I smiled a lot while reading this and I had to laugh out loud at the bean explosion incident and the fish that almost got away. As I have said before, Beth’s ability to make you feel that you are right there, is truly magical. I was so pleased to find that friends from her other Alaskan Heartwarming stories were ...more

I love the setting, give me a book set in Alaska and you can be sure I'll give it a read 😂

The romance was great, I loved the progression of their friendship as it became something more. Sabrina and leiths romance was fun to read about, especially once leith started to see Sabrina for who she really was.

The dogs! Omg they were so adorable, it was an element to the book that I didn't know I needed in my life but now that I've read it I need more books where the characters have pets that are an imp

An Alaskan Proposal is an exceptional romance from Beth Carpenter. I really enjoy Ms. Carpenter's stories. Her characters are so human - warm, caring and just like friends. This book is the story of management trainee Sabrina and wilderness survivalist Leith. Sabrina is supposed to know about the great outdoors. She hires Leith to teach her what she does not know. There is a lot of humor - especially when Sabrina earns the nickname "Explosion Girl." This is a heart warming tale of changing life ...more

Another wonderful book by Author Beth Carpenter.
When Sabrina’s job ends due to the store closing she takes a manager trainee job for an outdoor outfitters in Alaska. She’s never been camping in her life but with Leith’s help she just might pull this off.
Sweet and charming, will keep you reading until the very end.
