I received a free copy from the author and voluntarily reviewed it.

I really enjoyed book 1 in this series and when I received a copy of this one I started it as soon as I could. Shift of destiny is just as good as book 1 and I was quickly pulled back into this world filled with shifters and other paranormal creatures. I am not sure what is about the way this author writes her books, but they manage to hook me every time. Her writing style really works for me. And I love this series so far!

I just visited a whole town of wonderful people and full of magic. Two of these wonderful people were Moira and Chance who are strong and easily connected to which made me want to get to know them better and boy did I get to know them. Both of them has a bit of wanderlust inside them out of necessity which it makes it hard to get to know people and even more, it makes it hard for them to get to know themselves so when their chemistry starts sparks flying and feelings of settling down, they are a ...more

Captivating plot and storyline with drama, intrigue, danger, magic and romance, made this a book that I didnt want to put down. Moira and Chance are strong characters, with clear-cut ethics and the desire to help others. Their journey to romance is fraught with trouble, but together they can overcome anything. I love the secondary characters as well, the various magical creatures are awesome. I would recommend this story to paranormal lovers everywhere.

As usual from CVN, likable characters, exciting action, and good writing. As usual for me with a short book, especially a shifters-instantly-recognize-their-mates PNR, I wished it had been a little slowed down (particularly the rush to smexy stuff, again using language a little blunt for me) and fleshed out, but I definitely did enjoy it, just not quite enough to round up to a Goodreads 4.

Back in Kotoyeesinay, we once again meet an intriguing mix of races (including some less-common choices)

This book was so much fun to read! I really enjoyed seeing a bit more of the town of Kotoyeesinay and its different inhabitants. I loved reading about Chance and Moira. As individuals, they both had a bit of akwardness and spunk that totally endeared them to me. Moira's grit and way to stay positive with how her life has been the past 3 years was just amazing. I really liked how Chance got her and tried to make sure he understood where she was coming from. The two together was perfect. The ...more

Great story

The eclectic supernatural world of the Ice Age Shifters continues with the story of Chance and Moira. Chance is a prehistoric lion shifter who's been adrift most of his life and landed in Kotoyeesinay temporarily in his unending search for a mate. Moira thinks she's human and had developed all sorts of ways for explaining away the unusual insights she sometimes gets and the odd things she sees around her. A collector is obsessed with adding Moira to his collection and she too winds up

Shift of Destiny by Carol Van Natta is the second book in the Ice Age Shifter series and it amazing. This story took me to a whole new world and into places I have not really completely traveled to and she did it with her amazing ability of storytelling that I have come to love and I can not wait as each new story comes out and to life within my mind. The words seem to jump off the page and you can't read them fast enough but you don't want to miss anything either. This is a new author to me and ...more

Moira is on the run, because a man believes she is a psychic who will help him find all answers to better his wealth and power. She herself does not believe in any kind of magic.
In a small town her car breaks down, and unbeknown to her she is in a town full of paranormals who found sanctuary there.
A turbulent, exciting time awaits her - finding out that she has magic, a mate and surviving the attack and kidnapping of her stalker and his minions.

Moira Grahams is on the run and ends up in Kotoyeesinay, Wyoming. A crazy billionaire is stalking her for her magic that she thinks does not exist. Along comes Chance McKennie, a prehistoric shifter looking for his mate. Could it be Moria. Moria and Chance are really interesting characters and the town of Kotoyeesinay may be the best character in the book. Chance and Moria face danger and more important magic. There is more world building in the second Ice Age Shifters story as well as learning ...more

I really liked this story. It had a lot of entertaining scenes from both the good guys and the bad guys. It is the story of Moira begins with how she ends up in Kotoyeesinay, Wyoming and covers her first few days there. I liked that the story made Moira feel more human and gave her challenges even when she was in the sanctuary. I also got to meet more of the inhabitants this time and they were a hoot. Just a great story that made me laugh through most of it as I read it in one sitting. I could ...more

A great second story

Van Natta brings Shift of Destiny to her Ice Age Shifters series as book 2. Now, it's a new story and introduces the readers to Moira, as the story just gets started. Yes, it's a magical shifter story but it brings a sense of realism with its characters and their chemistry. I enjoyed reading this and getting to know the characters that interconnect with each other. A great second story, and I know there is more, so I'll just have to keep reading Van Natta's work. A

Moria Graham is running from a crazy millionaire who wants to capture her because he thinks she can tell the future. Her car breaks down in Kotoyeesinay, Wyoming. The town is a sanctuary city for
paranormal creatures. Chance McKennie is a carpenter/handy man in the town. He knows she is his mate but he will need to go slow because she doesn't believe in paranormal anything. Yet, Chance and others in town know she has powers she doesn't know about. 2nd in series is as awesome as #1 in series.

This was a great read! Moira has been on the run from a crazy man for the past 3 years. After almost getting caught, she heads into a new town which seems to cater to tourists with its magical beings theme. Turns out it is really a magical sanctuary town. She runs into Chance who turns out to be her mate. This was a great addition to the series! I can't wait to read more!!

I was gifted an ARC in return of an honest review.

Moira is in the run from someone who wants to exploit her seer ability. Ending up in the supernatural town of Kotoyeesinay Wyoming is the answer to her need for sanctuary, especially when she meets shape shifter Chance. He won't allow any harm to come to his long awaited mate. Fated romance mixed in to a thrilling storyline. An excellent book that is a perfect addition to my library. Great storytelling!

This book is unintentionally funny. The descriptions of the folk of Kotoyeesinay are hysterical and the folk are officially crazy. A woman walking around with knowing magic, but doesn't know she has it. She ends up in Kotoyeesinay after being stalked by some psycho CEO. She meets Chance McKennie and sparks fly. I enjoyed reading this story even with the intense climax; every page had something to smile about.

This was my first book by this author and I must say I totally enjoyed it. It had just the right amount of all the ingredients you would expect from a hot shifter story. The characters were likable, the story moved quickly, and there was tons of energy, good humor, suspense, mystery and magic to keep your interest. I liked this book enough that I will go back and read the first and seek out more of this author's work.

A really enjoyable story of finding out the truth within you. Although it would read fine as a stand alone, reading Shifter Mate Magic ...the first in the series will give more back story and, at least, a smile of recognition late in the piece when a character is introduced.

Once again the characters and scenery are beautifully portrayed .

I received this book for free from eBook Discovery in exchange for an honest, freely given review.

This paranormal romance is difficult to describe. It projects sweet but has heat (boy, does it have heat). The characters feel human with foibles but also rock the non-human. The action is suspenceful but the the story is clean. Van Natta takes the heroine running away from trouble trope and gives it a lovely twist. This is a fun read.

This book was excellent. Seeing Kotoyeesinay through her character's fresh yet travel tired minds was wonderfully exciting. It was kind of sad to see how far she had suppressed her magical self but I like how it was revealed to her. The story was beautiful and the characters are all eccentric, which I love!

I read this as an arc.
