This was another fun book by this author.
When it starts Sara Campbell has just told her doctor that she quits and will now only stay at home. Sara suffers from agoraphobia of sorts and when she is on the way home has a panic attack, is hit by a car and attacked by someone she later finds out is a serial killer.
Lieutenant Joe Decker of Homicide has been chasing the serial killer and sees the accident along with his partner and stays at the hospital to wait till Sara wakes up.
Ever since Joe's wife died three years ago, his job is all he has got and he has no personal life or any colour in his life.
Sara asks to go home immediately which is her sanctuary and there Joe calls her a nut when she refuses to go to the station since he doesn't understand her problem at first but then later on he takes his sick days to protect her on his own and slowly he comes alive as well as falling for Sara. Sara on the other hand can't recall the face she saw, her memory a blank.
I really enjoyed how professional Joe was despite the attraction between them and the growing love. Sara has fears about how different she is from Joe and he doesn't take them lightly instead he is so gentle with her and loving.
Really enjoyable book.
