My hubby and I read the drives through Nova Scotia only. We were hoping to gain some insight on some "new to us" locations but, sadly, there were none. I would definitely look through this again next time we tour New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, or Newfoundland. VERY knowledgeable with TONS of info! Sadly, for now, it must go back to the library ;-)

Read along with Atlantic Canada , Fodor's Nova Scotia & Atlantic Canada, and Lonely Planet's Nova Scotia, New Brunswick & Prince Edward Island.

Read this alongside a more traditional guidebook, which would provide more context and detail. This provides a surprisingly good quick introduction of the provinces, excellent overview of routes and things to know, and great examples of little quirky things to do. (My favorite!) Solid advice to always check the ferry schedules online before making any plans, since they're likely to frequently change.

For my (COVID-induced, imaginary planning for a vacation I'll likely never take) trip, I focused on trips around the Bay of Fundy, Nova Scotia (except Cape Breton Island), and Prince Edward Island:

New Brunswick:
* #1, Fundy Island hopping (Campobello Island and Deer Island)
* #2, driving the ocean floor (drive to Minister's Island at low tide, with the nearby St Croix Island International Historic Site)
* #3, Fundy Trail Parkway with the Fundy Footpath

Nova Scotia:
* #10, Annapolis Valley to Fundy Tides (with the Grand Pre National Historic Site)

Prince Edward Island:
* #17, Confederation Bridge (following the coastal route on the island, not Highway 1)
* #18, Acadians, First Nations, and Oysters
* #20, Green Gables & Red Sands (following the Gulf Shore Parkway)

For trips far, far in the future, I also bookmarked drives further afield:

New Brunswick:
* #5, driving along the Saint John River and Fredericton
* #7, Acadian Peninsula (with the oyster museum near Caraquet)

Nova Scotia:
