Nico was under the assumption that he would inherit the vineyard in Grance his mentor only to find out that shares were left to a daughter no one new anything about.
After finding out the man she was in a relationship with got the promotion at work, she flies to France hoping to sell her shares to a vineyard she knows nothing about.
But the instant attraction is undeniable so as a release these share in a quick and steamy fling. Only the jokes on them . They are business partners.
The attraction is still there simmering in the list zone. Bit the more time together love is on the horizon. But what will she think whe Nicos plans come to light. Also how is she dealing with the news of her parents story. This is a long a delightful read.

A Taste of Passion by Chloe Blake

This book had me ALL in my feelings. Parentage Family Secrets is my tipping point and I would seriously have to see a professional because mama and me wouldn't simply be able to get past it. Oh, the stories our parents could tell.
I've deducted a half star because the author never reveals the heroine's skin tone and that's a personal no-no for me. I like to visualize the H/h in my head, while I'm reading the story. The heroine listening to Britney Spears didn't necessarily help me paint a picture. I like Britney too AND 'Work Bitch' is an anthem!

I digress! Okay, it was only confirmed that she was a WOC after he said she was even more beautiful than Beyonce. Otherwise, I would have had to rely solely on the breadcrumbs sprinkled here and there. I so dislike ambiguity! The story itself was fantastic and I enjoyed learning about vineyards and wine.
I'll definitely be reading more books from this author.

I have a weakness for the law and order. I thoroughly enjoy most stories centered around lawyers and law (particularly agents, detectives and sheriffs) enforcement, throw in a strong heroine and I'm all in.
Leonardo Astacio and Kamilla Gordon are both stars and rivals at Peterson, Benton, Monroe and Lanner. Leonardo threw down the gauntlet upon meeting her two years ago with his wisecrack about Harvard Grads, he's a Yalie and their relationship has been contentious ever since. Except for that one time when they had hot passionate sex upon his case-laden office desk. A moment in time, which neither has discussed, nor can they seem to forget thinking about over and over again. They are given an assignment where it's made clear that one of them will be named Partner. It's everything they've both worked hard to obtain to the detriment of their personal lives and relationships--save a few.
Fully vested in the assignment, Leonardo suggests they pose as a couple and spend time together before they approach their clients. Kamilla is not totally on board because she doesn't want to examine the residual feelings from their very hot months ago encounter. Proximity has a way of breaking down walls especially when Kamilla experiences airplane anxiety. Little by little their layers are exposed and their true selves are revealed.
I so appreciated the honesty between these two characters. When Leonardo realizes that his feelings for Kamilla are those of love, he tells her. How refreshing that he doesn't hold back. She knows he's telling the truth because he's a person that is unable to lie because it goes against his character. Truth and honesty--always.
When Kamilla discovers some client improprieties and she shares her concerns with Leonardo, they plot a course of action that leads to more questions, rather than answers. Everything, I mean everything hinges about how they navigate the murky waters. Will they have the courage to put both love and career on the line? Read it to find out.
Highly, highly recommended!

An affair that turns out to be with a new business partner? Maya thinks she's headed to
France to sell shares of a vineyard she inherited from a father she didn't know. This is after a
disastrous relationship with a man who ends up getting the promotion she was expecting.
It really was a great way for her to start over. I actually thought with her business acumen, there
wouldn't be much of a question of her keeping her shares, once she started to really see the business..
There was instant chemistry between her and Nico, hence the fling. Together as reluctant business
partners they still have sparks, especially the way things way things turned out.
I really liked how they handled revealing the relationship between Maya's father and mother. My heart
broke for Maya and what might have been there. It also left me wondering how her relationship with
her mother could stay strong.
There's even a little drama with a client's daughter who has a "thing" for Nico.
I absolutely loved this story. Maya and Nico are an absolute great couple. I wish this one would have
been a little longer, so we could have gotten to know everyone better, but it was a perfect novella for
me.

I just loved this book. It was so well-written that it captured my mind and I was dragged along for the ride. Once I started reading I could not put it down until I read the last page.

I love the Astacio series by Nana Prah but I totally believe she left the best story to last with Ambitious Seduction.
Leonardo and Kamilla were fire and ice. Their rivals-to-lovers story sizzled right from the opening chapter and kept me on the edge of my seat until the last.

Review for A Taste Of Passion
Mya goes to France with the intention of selling the company shares left to her by a Father she never new. After all, what does she know about running a vineyard.
Nic has always believed the company would be left soley to him, he didn't even know Albert had a Daughter. He has plans for the company that don't include partner.
As strangers Mya and Nic have immediate chemistry and finding out they're temporary business partners doesn't change that.
Mya learns a lot in her short time in France and Nic begins to look at the business different.
Nic an My are a great couple and have a story full of passion, romance, fun and angst. It was a quick read for me, I couldn't put it down!
