MY THOUGHTS:
This is the first book in the Glacial Blood Series I have read. Because each book in the series concentrates on a different couple I was able to read this without having read previous books in the series.

This is a story of betrayal, fear, loss and acceptance. It delivers a strong message about preconceptions and prejudices. I was intrigued throughout the story with all the plot twist and loved the chemistry and connection between Zain and Isobel, despite so much adversity in the end they united together strong and powerful.

This lost a star for me because the honey loving bear thing was a bit too corny for me. I found it hard initially to image him as anything but a cute and cuddly bear not an alpha male bear shifter.
Shattered Fears is a well written and captivating paranormal romance full of suspense, action and love. I'm looking forward to more from Anna Edwards.

Second chances and honey sandwiches.....

This is the fourth in the Glacial Blood series and Zain has got to be one of my most favourite series characters... he is a bear-shifter with two loves....Isobel, the young woman he left behind five years earlier to protect both her and his own secret, and honey sandwiches..

The alternative universe continues to fascinate and shock.... the series deals with topics of prejudice and intolerance and this particular storyline is no exception.....the evil machinations of Nuka notch up another gear supported by a number of other sinister, power crazed and damaged individuals who are willing to kidnap, torture and even murder to achieve their aims... but whilst the darker themes and serious messages are there, this is not a heavy read.. there is plenty of humour and banter between the characters, in particular amongst the members of the Glacial Blood Pack and the friends and family who align themselves with them, providing lighter moments......

Whilst each book focuses on a different couple the underlying storyline continues as a thread throughout... power struggles, betrayal, fear and loss are all there... but at the heart there is a disparate and quirky pack of magical men and women bound by loyalty and love who are ready to fight to protect their very own special brand of family.. this is a bittersweet, second chance paranormal romance, and I loved it.... I received an advanced copy of this book from the author.

The Glacial Blood series by Anna Edwards is by far one of my favourite shifter romance books. Anna Edwards has created an unforgettable world of magic and paranormal that sweeps me off my feet. Absolutely ethereal. Absolutely enchanting. Her Glacial Blood series just pulls me in and plunges me into a memorable and action packed paranormal romances. Omg, Shattered Fears is probably my favourite in the series. Exuding with so much intrigue and suspense, Shattered Fears absolutely gave me chills. I felt this book. I felt the spellbinding story. I felt the power and magic. It was beautiful. It was illuminating. It was pulsating. Shattered Fears shattered me. My HEART. My BODY. My SOUL.

Shattered Fears is freaking amazing. I am so in shock at how the Glacial Blood world is building. It is like looking into a mirror and seeing beauty. Shattered Fears is a beaut for sure. Shattered is magnificent. Shattered Fears is captivating. Shattered Fears is a intriguing suspense that will make your heart jolt, Shattered Fears is shifter excellence. Wow, my mind is blown. Wow, my heart heats up. Shattered Fears explores a vivid picture with a plot that focuses on power struggles, love, evil, prejudice with an exciting and jam packed romance. Shattered Fears centers on a second chance love that will grip you emotionally. I felt the soul. I felt the passion and sexiness. Anna Edwards's writing is developing. She sets a scene and you just revel in it. She sets a intoxicating mood that floors me when I read her books. I am just a huge fan of her books to the point of shouting my love for them to the world. Shattered Fears is definitely a must read.

Zain and Isobel were off the charts. Spicy hot and full of chemistry that I admired. This couple faced so much adversity to be together that I wanted to hug the hell out of them. In the series, they are totally my favourite because I connected to them. I felt their emotions. I felt their pain. I felt their hopes. I felt their dreams. Zain and Isobel just give me some honey dripping fire and love. Anna Edwards sets a tone for her characters, You follow them in every single book. It does not become just one book about a couple but a book that features a family that fights evil and loves harder.

Shattered Fears conquered my heart. If you have not read an Anna Edwards book, then you need to. I am so excited for the next book.

I love this series. This is the series that made me fall head over heels for Paranormal. Anna Edwards has done an amazing job with these books. I get sucked in at the very start and can't stop until I know exactly what is going to happen. 

I think, I love Zain. I have love the black bear since I started this series. There's always been something about him, like a part of him is missing. The reality of it is that something or someone was really missing from Zain's life. Something that not even his love for honey could fix. Zain is a total softy to me, but I love that about him. Not saying he can't be aggressive when needed. I also love how hard and strong he loved Isobel. Zain was set to live his life without, but I don't think that would have worked for either of them.

Isobel, girlfriend is in need of a major life change. Luckily she gets just that. Her dad is controlling and nuts. There were so many times I wanted to reach through my book and strangle him, but that's not on Isobel. She was just doing what she thought was best for her father. Unfortunately not everything is how they appear. 

This story my be my favorite of the Glacial Blood Pack so far. I just loved how well Zain and Isobel fit. Just goes to show true love can be found in any form. Please check out this amazing series by Anna Edwards. You will not be disappointed.

Anna Edwards brings magic of her own with this book. The characters and story captivated me so much that reaching the end was a shock. I never wanted the pages to end.

The character development is intense in this book. It's not just the main characters Zain and Isobel that the author pays such special attention to but also all of the characters. The world building is equally as amazing, it is incredibly detailed and vivid. Combining the two, Anna Edwards shows her strength for transforming words into such a realistic creation I felt like I was right there.

Overall the story is phenomenal. There is plenty of heart and truly makes you think about what family and even love itself means. It was filled with enough twists and suspense that I devoured it. It definitely elicited strong emotions whether it was crying or laughter, which is a sign of a must read book.

5 stars for an engaging, suspenseful and meaningful read! Highly recommend!

Again, Anna, you hit a home run. I knew that Zain and Izzy would end up together and it would not be without comflict. Zain just couldn't move on without Izzy. Trying to substitute honey sandwiches for his hunny, Izzy, didn't work. His honey sandwich appetite just grew.

For Izzy to finally share with Zain that she knew he was a shifter even before he left her, showed Zain all he needed to know. Izzy was his. Anna weaves a beautiful story working through how so many people judge others by their differences. They fear those differences and instead of welcoming the opportunity to learn and grow together, distrust and dislike run a muck.

Without giving any spoilers..... Iceland and the events. HOLY MOLY!!! I can't wait until Nuka gets what's coming to him. Kas's pack will be successful and will show that family is not always blood.

5 sweet, golden, honey covered stars for Isobel and Zain

Isobel and Zain grew up together but then Zain was gone. When their pathes cross again, Isobel will discover that there is more about Zains Disappearance than she could ever have imagined. Zain has to accept that all his scheming and plotting never had the outcome he worked for.

There are so many layers to that story. About Isobel and Zain, Isobels father and brother, their relationship and family bonds their truths and lies. But mostly it is a celebration about the power of second chances and first loves.

I enjoyed this story so much and want to know what will happen further down the way. Thank you Anna Edwards for this beautiful shifter story with just that splash of suspense and this big chunk of I Want More!!!

This book is something different to what I normally read. I don't usually go for paranormal but I really enjoyed this. It was a nice change.

Zain Thornton is a shifter who changes into a bear.

Isobel is innocent and doesn't know why Zane left her. But is soon to find out.

The book is full of lots of twists and turns. There is love, hate and violence as well as passion in this book.

It is very addictive. I couldn't put it down.

This is the fourth Glacial Blood book but can be read as a standalone.

I really enjoyed this book.

I'm looking forward to more, I'm also planning on reading the first three books soon.

This is the fouth story in the Glacial Blood series. It's Zain's story. Zain has a mate but gave her up before she would have to chose. Isobel loved Zain from child hood,five years after their obe night together she still loves him no matter if he is a shifter. With this story things are starting to heat up. Nuka and his druid brought back someone. Who? You will have to read to learn theie secrets and the twist and turns of this book.

So the saga of Glacial Blood continues with Zain’s story.
Zain has intrigued me for awhile now and I’m glad I finally got to read his story.
Zain is the bear shifter with a big heart,that has loved only one girl since childhood.
His second love is honey and I just loved the backstory to that.
Isobel is a young lady trying to move forward in her life but is still stuck in the past due to her childhood sweetheart suddenly leaving her. She can’t even find the desire to go out on friendly dates because her heart is still aching for Zain.
When fate brings these two back to one another everything is about to change for so many people.
Nuka is still causing havoc and chaos and stepping up his mischief.
Lots of drama and family intrigue in Shattered Fears.

This was so addicting I fell in Love with every one of these shifters and so many different ones my first by this Author and it was amazing even a witch , it was so exciting and all they want to do is live in peace and have no judgement cast upon them, I loved how they are their there own pack ready to stand up and fight as one for their protection. Zain and Isobel have loved each other forever and we get some backstory and after 5 years apart now is the second chance and decide what is going to be right family or an adorable Bear shifter. The writing is vivid and in such detail it grips you and your right their in the story cheering at least I was. I loved every word.

This is book four in the Glacial Blood Series and I absolutely loved Zain and Isobel's story! The Glacial Blood pack is really starting to get into trouble with people wanting to expose them as shifters- so the plot thickens with new characters (Kingsley) and more development into other familiar characters like Hunter and Jessica. Zain is the lovable black bear in the pack and although we don't know too much about him from the previous books, we get a glimpse into his past in this one and learn that he found love a while back and it was not with a shifter!! Isobel is a human and captured Zain's attention when they were just kids. I love the connection the two of them have and how it did not break despite the time they spent apart. They do have a fight ahead of them though and there's people close to them trying to keep them apart! Nuka is back and still seeking to destroy the pack and has some tricks up his sleeve yet again! For me, each book in this series has read as a standalone book, with each new book recapping the overlapping plot so that you don't feel lost. I love how Anna Edwards does this so that you feel like you can jump into the series at any time. I have truly enjoyed each book in the series though so highly recommend them all! It's a great PNR series with a unique storyline, unlike any other PNR series I've read! I hope to see more of Kingsley and Hunter, and really hope Kas- the head alpha polar bear - gets his story soon!

I loved meeting up with the guys from the Glacial Blood Series again. Zain is such a lovable bear. He is overshadowed by the other charchters in previous books so it was great that he finally has his own story.

When Zain had to give up one of the two things he loved in life he knew no one would ever come close to taking his heart. When that one person comes back into his life he know this time he can't let her go.

Izzy has never felt pain again like she did the day Zain just walked out of her life. She gave him the one thing that was so special to her just for him to up nd leave. Now he is back and will they be able to carry on where they left off?

This is a brilliant story and one where the emotions just pour from the pages.

This is becoming one of my favourite PRN series ever.

Shattered Fears, the fourth installment of the Glacial Blood series by Anna Edwards was/is a fantastic read - I would honestly say the best part yet!


Zain Thornton left five years ago, to keep Isobel safe and so she wouldn't have to choose between him and her family. He's never been far away though, watching her in secret to make sure she is still safe. 


Isobel Ross has never forgotten Zain - her true love, her soul mate. She doesn't know if Zain is still alive, but she would know if something had happened to him. Her heart would know.


I love the relationship between Zain and Isobel. Even after five years apart they still knew they were meant for each other. I could feel the love these two have for each other while I was reading. Zain is very protective of his honey and will do anything to make sure she's always safe.

I love how we get some story of the other characters in the series, updating us on how everyone is doing.


Nothing is plain sailing for the Glacial Blood pack, especially with Nuka still lurking and wanting revenge. The lengths he is willing to go to, to win this war is real nasty, even trying to out shifters to the world. With the help of Senator Ross, another nasty man - will he do it?


Secrets that shouldn't be told, lies to protect those you care about, rules broken to save one of your own, plot twists and shocks make this an engrossing read that I could not put down. It pulled every emotion possible from me and I have to admit, I got a little teary eyes at a few points while reading.


This series goes from strength to strength as we edge closer to the big fight, the war to end all wars. I absolutely can not wait until the release of Hidden Pain to continue the story.

I really enjoy reading Anna Edwards books. I enjoy reading paranormal romances with shifters. Put them together, and you end up with a book that I am so excited to read. And I totally was.

Isobel loved Zain with all that she had. When he walked away from her 5 years ago, she didn't think she would survive, and she blamed herself. Now she's living in a kind of half-life, supporting her father, a senator who keeps trying to tell people that shifters are real. None of them believe her father, but she knows the truth, even if she's not telling her dad, because she saw Zain shift into a bear.

Isobel may have thought that Zain abandoned her, but what she doesn't know is that he has always been behind the scenes watching her. He doesn't want anyone but her, but he doesn't want to separate her from her family. He knows that she's his mate, but he can't have her, especially since her dad is so crazed on the subject of shifters.

Isobel is such a strong character. She goes through some stuff and manages to come through it, not entirely unscathed, but still strong, and able to get stronger because she's a survivor. Zain is a wonderful caring man, even if he's misguided sometimes. He is really protective, which means that he sometimes makes choices for her that he shouldn't do, and takes her choices away from her. Isobel has no problem with letting him know when he's done that though. Nuka, boo hiss, is back and causing more trouble, but this time, it's even worse. I can't wait to see what happens due to things that he did in this book. It's going to be really interesting. I would love to see Isobel's brother get his story because he deserves to be happy too.

A read that was equal parts sweet as honey, and also thrilling!

Another captivating addition to the series, I loved getting to know Zain better and his hidden past with Isobel. Their interactions were exciting, tender and sometimes so damn hot! I loved how strong a character Isobel was at times and she very much complimented Zain in this story as his other half.

Excellently written and well developed characters and a plot that kept me up late to finish! Anna Edwards has created a series that keeps me on my toes and ever hungry for more of the magic she is weaving with her words.

This story had a few shocks and moments where I was biting me lip or gasping in fear. I have a serious love/hate for Nuka but I NEVER imagined that Anna would throw in a brand new character I would hate even more than him! Mind = BLOWN.

An exciting and shockingly twisted at times read that has left me salivating for more in this series. I cant get enough!

This is a wonderful second chance shifter romance. I felt this book had a lot of sweetness to it (and not just because of Zain's love of honey sandwiches). It is a story about making painful sacrifices for the one's we love and the beauty of acceptance that doesn't even need to be mentioned because those differences are just so insignificant to them. I loved Izzy and Zain. I loved their chemistry and emotional connection that couldn't be broken. I loved that they were childhood friends and then lovers. But most of all I loved that they got that second chance at a HEA because their kind of love deserved it. Add in drama, danger, secrets, lies and surprising twists and you have a amazing book and an excellent series. This is my completely voluntary, honest review.

So far this was my favorite of the series as we find out what happen with these two, friends since childhood and then first loves. He had left protecting her from his secret she never moved on. Now the war has been brought to their doorstep and they have found each other again. Deadly secrets and lies are tearing their world apart. Prejudice, ignorance, politics and hate lead them on a destructive path. This author did a great job mingling hate and prejudice, love and family into an intricate story of twist. It's a great lead up to who only knows what means but it's clear to see it will be massive, exciting and full of action. I can hardly wait, unfortunately I didn't wait long enough to read the series and although it wasn't really a cliff hanger there is clearly more to reveal.

Shattered Fears is a beautiful, intense, second chance/shifter love story. Zain, the honey loving black bear in the Glacial Blood Pack, has always been the one member of the pack that kept his past a secret. Zain sacrificed his love for Isobel because he never wanted her to have to choose between him and her family. They finally get a second chance at love and Isobel proves how strong she really is. This is a beautiful love story full of love, sacrifices, danger, drama, lies and twists that surprised me. I look forward to reading the next book in The Glacial Blood Series.

Her father is a Senator with a mission of proving shifters exist so he can expose and experiment on them. Zain will do anything to protect the woman he loves as well as his pack, even if it costs him his life. Wow, this story left me breathless. I loved how much Zain loved Isobel, enough to walk away from her in order to protect her from his secret. Amazing series that should not be missed.

All Humans ain't Mean....

I love this series. The Glacial Blood series is all about shifters and their mates.
Shattered Fears is one of the books in the series and it's about Zian the honey loving bear and his lovely mate Isobela. They have to come together with the pack to fight against the ugliness of the world.

This series is exciting to read. It nice to see that family can be all kinds of forms and live happily.

Glacial Blood is becoming my new favorite series for paranormal romance. I just can’t get enough of this series!! There is a common thread between all of the books but they all concentrate on a different couple. This might be my favorite book in the series to date. I just love Isobel and Zain. Isobel is a human and Zain is a bear from the Glacial Blood pack. They grew up together and Isobel was crushed when Zain just disappeared. Their paths crossed again years later, will Isobel be able to forgive Zain? Will Zain finally give in and take Isobel as his human mate?

I so enjoy this series. I love the couples but Zain and Isobel are now my favorite. They are just perfect together. I love that they have found they’re way back to each other. Escpeicalky with Nuka running around being a pain but I’m glad they found their HEA.
