The Complete Border Collie is a must-have book for any current or potential border collie owner. It covers topics like selecting the right puppy, early training, behavior and training problems and solutions, feeding, health care and competition. It also delves a bit into issues of more concern to breeders like genetics in breeding, the breed standard, rearing puppies, and training dogs for actual herding work.

My only complaint with this book is that it doesn't present at all a complete guide for training, either for basic obedience or for herding work. Rather, it assumes that the reader is following some system for training and addresses some common problems that might be encountered.
