The survivor, is a first person book in which a jewish family must survive world war 2 in holland, they hide from the advancing germans afraid that they would get killed, however because of the 2 brothers in the family they know where to hide and can, but for how long? the plot is intresting and it has an easily identifiable settingthere are worth while themes, the characters are belivable but you never know when one will enter or leave which was intresting but also slightly annoying the writing style and point of view are wonderful for the book. The survivor is a wonderful book and if you like things such as historical fiction and world war 2 books I would most definetly reccomend this book also Jonathan, the main character is very wise and it is amazing that he survived against the odds.
