Romantic comedy is not usually a genre I dip my toe in often, but this book was really enjoyable. Jess is sweet and spunky and I loved her character. The supporting characters of her friends are all distinct personalities and likable. I wasn't sure about Brax until later in the book, but I understood his motivations later.

The end of the book sets the scene for future books, but gives a satisfying end to the first book. I'd be curious to see if the rest of the series focuses on Jess and Brax or t

A cute really good read. A new author to me and I did love all the characters. This story is about sparkles, Jess, who has been in love with Brax her next door neighbour for 5 years. But she doesn’t know if he feels the same. After making a decision, she decides not to be his friend anymore as she wants to meet her soulmate. In comes Nathan as the lucky man but somewhere down the line it ends up in a whole mess as Haley the best friend is involved. Will Jess ever get her HEA? A great read from s ...more

Another new author for me who I've added to my list of @to look for' authors. Sarah Gai's writing is relaxed, warm, indulgent and drew me into this first book in a new series. The characters are believable, fun, witty and full of life - just the type of people, I like and have as friends in real life. A good storyline and I loved the chemistry between Jess and Brax [very dreamy] and think this romantic comedy was such an easy read and one that I found difficult to put down. I look forward to the ...more

Sparkles in Love is a charming story about friendship, fraternity and love. Jess the sparkly fairy is an imperfect and delightful character who has chosen a life of cheering people up. She benefits from the support of old school friends May and Haley who have a book club and plans for an exciting future venture. As she looks for love she wonders if h man thehe should be with is the charming Brax living next door. A fun and quick read for lovers of Chick Lit.

Sparkle's In love By Sarah Gai was amazingly sweet and was also a laugh out loud funny read. The main charter Jess also know as Sparkles the Fairy, not the stripper, is funny, corky, and a major clutz. The story is about love, friendship and what happens when there is a lack of communication.

I would recommend this book to almost anyone who needs a good laugh and in need of old school romance.

A great and fun read!

This was a delightful and quick read, I know because I finished it in one setting. It's that good. The story revolves around Jess, a quirky, clumsy lady with pink hair and a matching tutu that works as a party entertainer under her ulterior ego, sparkles the fairy. She lives next door to a sculpted construction worker named Brax who in her eyes is perfect and she loves him but also knows he's a womanizer. She decides to be a matchmaker for her friends May and Haley but thing

Enjoyable, fun read

What’s not to love about a young woman who cares deeply about others? Sparkles the fairy, AKA Jess, loves to make others smile. She started wearing a tutu at a young age after the death of her father. However, her unusual wardrobe brought Jess two best friends, May and Haley, as well as Sparkles career as a party fairy.

While Jess is quick to recognize her own shortcomings, she’s more than willing to cut everyone else plenty of slack. Her not-so-secret crush on next-door neigh

Sparkling and cute.

Jess is a sparkling character that performs at parties as a fairy. She’s had a thing for her next door neighbor Brax for several years. Brax is HOT and Jess just doesn’t think Brax would ever see her as a love interest despite the fact he flirts with her. So Jess looks elsewhere for love but will she find it or could love be right next door? Great romance! Cute. Funny. Everything you’d want in chick lit. Highly recommend this read.

Jess has been in love with her neighbor for five long years but he is also a good friend. Jess decided to brake that friendship off. When she was asked out on a date she couldn't believe it because she thought that she was never going to be able to move on from her feelings for Brax. Until one of her best friends tell her that she is dating Brax. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the storyline and plot. What a wonderful set of characters that came to life in this sweet, short, romantic tale. The main female character was indeed quite whimsical in nature. She shared a great bond with her two best girlfriends. This was a heartwarming read.

I voluntarily received an advance review copy of this short story via Booksprout and I am leaving an honest and unbiased review. I have no affiliation to this author.

She is unlucky in love and accident prone. She just cannot seem to get a break until she decides to become matchmaker. It will have a consequence she does not see coming. What is it? Will it have anything to do with her hot neighbour? See if it has

This was a quick little romantic read that I received for free. It was a decent, enjoyable read, with some interesting characters. Not too many surprises, but there was a little twist. It's harmless fun if you're looking for something fun and quick. I haven't decided if I'm going to read the rest of the series yet. ...more

These characters were not quirky and fun loving, they were childish. Everything from the way they talked and acted to the decisions they made screamed immature adolescent. Maybe if the characters had a little more depth to them I could have made some sort of connection but it just didn't happen. ...more

Short read

Super short read. Wanted to really like it, but it lacked story and real chemistry between the characters. Was really hoping this book would go further and have more story then it did.

Great little book

I loved this book. Jess lives next door to Brax. He is the hottest guy she has ever seen. Even though see tries to convince herself that they are just friends she secretly knows that she loves him. Rated PG for mild language.

This series is so much fun to read. She has a few quirks that are just part of her personality but make her what she is. She thinks her love life is not good. But she has a hot sexy neighbor. Can things work outl? I was given a review copy by booksprout and voluntarily review it.
I wanted to really like this book, but they kept bringing up her weight and her insecurity with it.

Sweetness Personified

This story is sweetness personified! The characters are obviously in love with each other from the beginning of the story.

Wow! How do I sum up my life? .... Well, I'm a mother of Three little princes who light my life. A wife to a very patient husband who puts up with my hectic thinking. A tattoo loving, coffee drinking, wears her heart on her sleeve, incessant chatterer!

My love is writing and reading fiction. I have to sing! Like all the time... much to my families dismay.
