Geordie de la Rosa is a legend among wine lovers in Napa Valley. His ultra-fabulous style paired with a penchant for leading impromptu sing-a-longs has made him a star attraction at Conrad Winery. Co-owning a well-respected winery was never Geordie’s aspiration but he likes the niche he’s made for himself. He won’t deny that his job and his friends have helped ease his hea ...more

I've been yearning for Geordie's story for so long, I was certain disappointment was lurking on the horizon. Geordie needed someone special, someone who loved him just as he was—show tunes, diva antics, and all.

But I doubted anyone would be good enough for the Geordie I fell in love with in book 3 (Nick and Wes's story). For nearly four years, Geordie has been grieving the death of his other half. Mike was seventeen years older than Geordie and was Geordie's best friend, his partner, his love.

I have been waiting for Geordie to get his happily ever after since we met him. Geordie has been mourning his husband Mike and still talks to him- still hears him. Geordie who was once full of color now exists in the dark.

In enters Levi, the new diner owner. Everyone agrees that Levi is hot - even Geordie. Grudgingly. The two are opposites. Geordie is all show tunes and glamour, and Levi is sports, jeans, and t-shirts. After they are pushed to work on a project together the two can't help bu

Meh. I didn't like Geordie in Wes and Nick's book and I didn't like him now either. Too much of a high maintenance drama queen, even for me. He also kept bouncing from "I'm too broken to love again" to "I want to live again" in the blink of an eye.

On a side note, Kevin's reasoning for leaving Levi in the first place was so utterly ridiculous.

I almost thought Geordie was going to be too much for me.

He *was* a bit much. A bit dramatic. A bit OTT.

I was also worried about how “present” Mike was.

And Geordie’s inner monologue was a bit repetitive.

But I loved Levi. And this one as a whole. But ultimately rounding down instead of up. Overall a great addition to the series!

From the moment he sashayed his way onto the page in the Leaning Into series, with his air of vulnerability and his dynamic personality and belting out showtunes, I've wanted Geordie's story.

And now Lane has delivered me Geordie's romance in all his unique glory, wrapped up in a most beautiful narrative which is so full of humour and hurt, grief and joy, passion and fear that it required two tissues to get through to the end!

I must admit, it can be daunting going into a book you've been waiting
Aww man, have I picked a favorite book of this series yet? Maybe even the year?

Can I change my mind?

I am so head over heels in love with this book. I know I love the series and I know I love the author but I didn’t think I needed or wanted this book really.

I totally did. So much I think I actually need to read it again.

I don’t know why I ever thought I didn’t want Geordie’s story. He is such an influential part of this series. Shame on me for putting him in a corner.

I. Loved. This. Book.

I have been waiting for it to come out for as long as I can remember. Geordie is someone who leaves a mark on your soul and that's exactly what he did after I finished reading Leaning into Forever.

There's not one thing I hate or would change about this.

Levi is perfect for Geord. If there's a soulmate out there for someone, this is the perfect example to show for it. Levi was the kind, patient, amazing and works amazingly with Goerdie's sassy personality.

Unabashedly romantic and full of feeling, without being trite. I really liked this.

When we first met Geordie, in Bk.3, he's still reeling from his partner Mike's death. In the subsequent books we've gotten to know and spend a little time with Geordie: show tunes belting glamour queen and also a Mexican kid from L.A. who had to flee and reinvent himself after his family's rejection. Geordie is now in his 40's and, though he doesn't know it, perhaps ready to love again. His second chance at love c
Oh my, that was wonderful! A new favorite.

I haven’t read all the books in this series, so I didn’t really remember Geordie before reading this book. However, I fell in love with him in the first chapter, and now, his character is one of my most favorite characters ever.

Geordie is a wealthy co-owner of a successful winery, and he lost his lover, Mike, almost 4 years ago. Mike was Geordie’s Prince Charming, and he was Mike’s queen. They had the epic kind of love, and that’s why Geordie can’t reall

I enjoyed this a lot. I was so excited to read Geordie's story and him getting through his grief over Mike's death and find love and being happy again.

It was a journey through this whole book, but it was a good one - seeing Georgie going through being attracted to Levi but being reluctant to even acknowledge it, to making himself think of it as just sex, to him finally realizing it was more with Levi and getting to a place where he could let go of Mike. Not forget him, but let go and

I’m sure anyone who’s read Leaning Into the Fall, book 3 in the series, has been waiting anxiously for Geordie’s story. He’s appeared in nearly every story since then, the diva belting out show tunes for sing-alongs, a fabulous, dramatic queen in mourning finery. I love his character, vulnerable emotionally yet confident and secure in who he is. He’s also certain that he’s already had his one chance with love. Until Levi comes along to challenge that assumption. Thrown into proximity wh

Loved the book, didn't particularly like Mr Russo's interpretation of it. He did seem to change his original take on Geordie as done in Leaning Into the Fall, and for that, I was grateful but this one just, I don't know, didn't work for me. Let's assume it's a 'me not everyone else' issue as I usually like Nick's narrations.

Five stars for the story, 3 stars for the narration so 4 stars overall.

I was both hesitant and excited about Geordie's story.
Stories that feature an MC who lost their love make me sad because it rarely feels like the new person is getting a wholehearted kind of love.
Of course, I wanted Geordie to get his HEA, but I wasn't sure he would be able to open himself up for it. It has been nearly four years and Geordie still can't see a way forward into a future where Mike isn't a part of his everyday life. Mike is still so...there. It was this that made me think I would e

I have to work in twenty minutes, so I’ll keep this short (fat chance).

I adored this. Utterly loved everything about Geordie and Levi. I don’t think I can put into words what I’m feeling.

This was the first book to make me shed tears in two years. And I don’t hand out five stars lightly.

My heart hurts in a good way. I can’t let go of this beautiful story. I’m a sucker for a widow finding love and coming to terms that he’s still alive and deserves to live. This gave me everything I wanted. It m
This book is simply too precious. It totally soothe my soul especially at this point of time when the world around us is on hell's fire. I love every single moment from the beginning till the end. I'm guilty to admit that I'm not a devoted follower of the series and I don't remember Geordie much, so I kinda went into this blind and treat it as a standalone. But what a remarkable and absolutely joyful read.

This is the 2nd 5 star book I read over this weekend. This book was beautiful and poignant and just a gem of a romance.
Geordie a man who deserves to live happily ever after finally gets his due. I can't tell you how happy I was to read Geordie's story. If there is anyone who deserves love it's someone who's had it and lost it. Geordie is a man who knows how to grieve. He's been doing it every hour of everyday for four years. He needs light someone to show him it's ok to love again, someone who

Oh, Geordie. I knew this story would wreck me a little and it did, but in a wonderfully healing and fulfilling way. The seventh book in the Leaning Into Stories collection, Leaning Into Forever can be read as a standalone without losing any of the emotional intensity or connection to the characters. Certainly if you’re a fan of stories that deal in love after loss and the vulnerability a new relationship entails, this is a title you shouldn’t pas

Finally! Geordie's story. I knew this would be a tough one, and I did wonder who could possibly fill Mike's shoes, earn a place in Geordie's life, help mend his broken heart. Geordie, always the scene-stealer, made me smile, laugh, and cry from the beginning. And then I met Levi, who made me weak in the knees. Charming, sexy, sweet, and patient (one needs to be patient with our Geordie), he won me over immediately. Together they were fun, sexy, and playful. They were also honest, real, insightfu ...more

The best of one of my favorite series, by far, this one features our favorite queen, the Broadway tunes-singing Geordie, co-owner of Conrad Winery. Geordie appealed to me since we readers first met him, long before this story, but I totally fell head-over-heels in love with him here. And the man the author picked to love him back? Levi Yeager couldn’t be more perfect for him.

As the blurb states: “Geordie de la Rosa is a legend among wine lovers in Napa Valley. His ultra-fabulous style paired wi

First I'd like to start off saying that I have not read any other books in this series and Lane Hayes is a new to me author, now that I have that out of the way I will say that this book can be read as a standalone and I didn't feel as if I was missing anything but I am sure for those that have read the series and knew Geordie and Mike when they were together before his passing this story will pull at their heartstrings much more. Who among us hasn’t been waiting for Geordie’s story? Well, it’s here, and it’s as fabulous as the man himself. We’ve been waiting, those of us reading this series, to see what kind of man Hayes would pair him with. Geordie’s very self-awareness meant that his counterpart would need to be able to stand on his own. He would need to be able to handle his own page time and be a character that had as much depth as the one we have lived with and worried about for several books now. I think Hayes hit ...more

To say I’ve been patiently waiting on Geordie’s story would be a lie. It’s more like I’ve been anxiously waiting on Geordie’s story! Each time he made an appearance in the previous books it left me wanting to know everything about him- his back story, what happened to Mike, would he ever get past his heartbreak. But most of all, I just wanted sweet Geordie to get his happily ever after.

When I thought of Geordie and his hea, there wasn’t a particular type of person I could picture him with, I ju

Leaning into Forever is book 7 in the Leaning into Series and while it could technically be read as a standalone, I wouldn't really suggest it. We met the fabulousness that is Geordie in book 2 and then again in several of the other books of the series, so I suggest reading them all if you haven't yet.

I knew going in that this was going to be an emotional read for me, I loved Geordie from the moment I met him and especially so once I learned of his backstory. Reading how deep was h

Leaning into Forever is the seventh story in Lane Hayes’ Leaning Into series. The series follows two groups that intertwine throughout the stories: a group of college friends and the gang from the winery. Geordie has made appearances in a number of the past books, and it has been clear all along that he is still recovering from Mike’s death. So I was really happy to see his story here and watch him find his own happiness.

Hayes does a nice job showing the almost i

This (Levi especially)was perfect.

Geordie has been living a half life since his partner died unexpectedly 4 years ago. He’s been in mourning the whole time, never expecting, or really wanting to find a new love.

Then, Levi bursts into his life. He buys a neighboring diner and needs help getting it up and running. There is an instant attraction, but Geordie doesn’t know what to do with it at first. Luckily, Levi is patient and let’s things move at his pace.

Slowly, Levi worms his way into his he

Another solid addition to the "Leaning Into" series. This one reminds me a teeny tiny bit of Marie Sexton's wonderful "Strawberries for Dessert" in that one of the MC's is an outlandish effeminate gay man who is well-off, but that's where the similarities end.

What I liked best about this book was Levi. It was refreshing to read a story that features a former jock who was once-repressed and now joyfully doesn't care what anyone thinks. I don't want to spoil plot details that surprised and deligh

“Every night I’d call out my usual, “Honey, I’m home” the way I had for fourteen years. Mike hadn’t been here for almost four of those years, but I greeted him anyway. I supposed it was like having coffee with him in the garden outside the wine tasting room. I couldn’t explain it to anyone without sounding crazy but I knew he was there, watching over me. Talking to him kept him alive and made me less…dead.” 4 likes
