Rate this book
The
story of the Aeneas and the founding of Rome has excitement and adventure,
romance and magic, humour and sadness. Emily Frenkel's retelling is fresh and
direct. Simon Weller's illustrations are fabulous.

As in similar renditions of Homer to novels, this adaptation of Virgil does a fine job for what it is. As a way of teaching younger readers the story, this is a faithful introduction.
