Was a wonderful and entertaining book for the most part. Had some issues with some of the content. Other than that it was great. Just as great as their YouTube videos.

This is not the kind of book I would usually pick up, but considering I've been watching Rose and Rosie since 2013 I pre-ordered it... And then spent the day in bed ignoring my uni work because I could not put it down. Never fry an egg while reading it ends badly. Very honest and utterly hilarious. I look forward to "Over It" in 2023.

This book made me laugh, cry and most importantly made me smile the whole way through it. Also after meeting Rose and Rosie being a long time fan and getting the book signed it was heart warming to look back and see the signatures with nice messages at the front of the book. Overall a hilarious read with lots of great advice and provides a safe space.

I found this book immeasurably funny, witty and enlightening all at once! I could read it again right away, but right now I'm savouring all those happy memories I've had with this book. I hope Rose and Rosie do a second book and share more secrets. Don't get me wrong, there are moments where I was left shocked and on-the-edge-of-my-seat heartbroken, from hearing some of their stories, about homophobia in particular. But their ironic jokes balanced out the sad parts. It has definitely given me a ...more

3.5* - rounded up because I love Rose & Rosie.
this book was a (mostly) lighthearted easy read. i particularly enjoyed the bits about their childhoods and early relationship, and wish that more of the book had focused on that as that’s what i find most interesting, but maybe that’s just me. there were a few kinda poor takes on showing oppressors kindness etc, but i get they are comedians rather than activists or people who absolutely need to be well versed on radical politics and radical app

Hadn't heard of Rose and Rosie before reading this book, but after reading this I am a very big fan! It was enthralling, funny, passionate and honest and I highly recommend it.

I would have bought this solely for Rose's letters from the future, to be real.

I would have missed out on some smart, honest, and entertaining writing.

Good book. Amazing if you count it as a table piece to make your judgemental aunt really uncomfortable at family gatherings.

Amusing, Informative and Honest

Some bits - very very few - seemed a little repetitive. But overall it was a really damn good first book. I laughed and smiled and teared-up and cringed and gasped. There were shocking revaluations that made me respect both women more so than I already did. The lists, Rose's sarcasm and Rosie's eloquence in her reading were all delightful cherries on top of one happily gay cake. I adore these two and root for them every single day. I wish them more and more succes
Just want to start off by saying that I am a huge fan of Rose and Rosie and that I have been for years - I've watched every single one of their videos at least once (mostly more), I can quote them, I can still laugh at them even if I know what jokes they tell and no matter how shit I feel, and I assumed that this would be the case for their book. I was so disappointed. In general, I think my main problem was that in their videos, Rose and Rosie bounce off each other and it makes them hilarious b ...more

My favourite Youtubers have not disappointed! Lots of love, laughs and sexuality as advertised. Particularly heartwarming if you’re a fan of their channel. A great balance of hard-hitting and wholesome content 🌈 (#twentygayteen)

When I first started this book, I was expecting to love Rose's part and be happy with Rosie's. That's because when I watch their Youtube videos that's how I feel. But in the end, I was rushing to read Rosie's sections. Her stories were fun, coherent, and somehow individually relatable. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Rose's sections too, but her stories were not as formed as Rosie's. If Rosie was to write a book by herself, I would definitely pick it up.

I’ve been a huge fan of these two youtubers since they began their channel about 8-9 years ago (I forget how long its been!) I was over the moon when I found out they had written a book as I love reading!

Even though I’m a huge fan I will try to write an unbiased review. I have never read an autobiography type book before so this was my first venture. I really enjoyed it. Rose and Rosie share loads about themselves on their channel and through their other media’s. I thought, ‘what els

Rose and Rosie are the best. This book was really enjoyable and filled with the hilarious and very English sense of humour you can find in their videos. Immediately, you can tell that they have both written this themselves as their personality comes across in their writing. I would buy the book purely for Rose's letters to her future self. My only criticism is that often parts of the book come across as a bit preachy - I found this with another YouTuber's book I read earlier this year. As much a ...more

What a book! It was hilarious, helpful and educational all at once. I love Rose and Rosie's youtube channels so this book felt almost like I could hear them speaking (which will be the case when I listen to the audiobook 😂) really helped with feeling less alone as well

This could have done with one more proof-read, but all is forgiven because damn it was great. I laughed. I cried. I laughed more. I actually choked on tea because I was laughing so much. This was everything I needed.

I saw Rose and Rosie talking about reading their Goodreads reviews on their channel and am now scared to review the book. What I often tell clients (I'm a book publicist) is that for many reviewers 5-star ratings are reserved for the best books of your life. The Jane Austen, the Thackeray, the Virginia Woolf. My favorite books of the year usually only get 4 stars. So, I wouldn't feel down about any 3 star ratings you get - that's still good! And having an all 5-star rating looks like you've just ...more

I don’t like YouTubers very much but I have a soft spot for Rose and Rosie and have been a casual viewer for a number of years, so my buying of this book was more to support them than a real excitement to read it. However, I do find their videos funny and engaging so I was hoping that their book would be similar.

My expectations going into this was that there would be some gossip and more memoir-esque type of stories but it became more of a self-help book that dealt with how everyone

This book was so entertaining that I managed to finish the book within a week. Normally, it would take me forever to finish a book because I have a short attention span so I would get disinterested and forget about the book for months. Then i would have to reread it because I've put it off for so long. This book is full of humour, wisdom and wit. This book so beautifully encapsulated their very different personalities - when either Rose or Rosie were writing, you'd be able to immediately tell wh ...more

There's so much in this book at I can relate to. While perhaps not the most intimate examination of Rose and Rosie's lives that fans may crave (and of course, they are entitled to their privacy and need only share what they want us to know), this books shares and "overshares" plenty.

This was the first book I read in 2019 and it was a lovely, funny read. Full of self deprecating jokes and heartfelt reminders that anyone can experience heartbreak and disappointment and walk away strong

Rose and Rosie are two LGBT British YouTubers, who I’ve watched off and on for... ten years? Something like that. I watched Rose Ellen Dix when she was vlogging by herself. I remember when she first started dating Rosie, when they broke up (and posted those passive aggressive Tumblr messages), and when they got back together. Now they’re married, and I feel old. Anyways, they’re lovely and hilarious, so I was thrilled when I saw they were releasing a book. Overshare has the same fantastic qualit ...more

Nothing I can write about this book will do it justice; you have to read it. This is so unlike all other autobiographies I have ever read. The way it is written encapsulates their dynamic in a way I never expected to be possible in a book, Rose's sarcasm and Rosie's sincerity fill the entire book and it is so apparent that there was no ghost writing involved. I don't remember the last time a book affected me emotionally as much as this did. People say this a lot, but I genuinely laughed aloud at ...more

Well where to begin...

I suppose with a massive Thank you to Rose and Rosie for writing this amazing book, its made me laugh and cry but most importantly it gave me hope and a comfort.

Hope that the world will become a place of acceptance and tolerance, that things can get better even when you think they never will,That there is always someone there supporting you even without you realising it. Comfort for the fact that you don't need to be perfect that it is okay to be who you are an

I loved this book SO much! As a fan of Rose and Rosie, and a regular viewer of their channel, I knew what to expect but this book exceeded my expectations. It was funny (like you laugh out loud while reading funny) and heartwarming (these two have the most beautiful relationship in the history of mankind), while also discussing hard topics like mental health and dealing with discrimination.
