I have been reading a number of anthologies lately. It is a wonderful way to get to know authors that I may not have otherwise and, also, to read different genres. Although ONCE UPON A SUMMER definitely has a romantic theme, each story was uniquely different. I loved being transported into the lives of the couples as they went everywhere from Australia, to a suspensful treasure hunt, and beyond. Great job!

This review is only for Stealing Haven by Mark Love, one of the short stories in this anthology.
This 20,000-word short story is a wonderful introduction to Jamie Richmond, a reporter who is always attracted to curiosity and adventure. Set in South Haven, this relaxing tourist spot is not only a haven for a budding bittersweet romance but also a criminal case. Brooke writes complex, character-driven stories about kismet, reunited lovers, first love, and the kind of romance that we should all have the chance at finding.
