This is yet another story about a Hero who is grieving for his dead wife. I think lately that this is the only theme I seem to come across whether it is in the blurb or not.

Anyhoo... Hero was a cop in Chicago and married to a woman that he had been in love with. Even though she was "high maintenance" and had "depression" issues throughout their marriage, he was still widely in love with her until he came home one day and found her having sex with his partner & friend. Hurt, he asked her for a di

Very enjoyable read. I love this author's storytelling style and am so glad I stumbled upon this series. Can't wait to read the next book.

Just Jenny has both cussing (including f-bombs) and on-page sex. If those things will cause you to leave a bad review, this might not be the book for you. This is book one of the Blue Ridge Valley series but it completely stands alone.

This book is one of my favorite Sandra Owens books ever, and that is saying something because I have enjoyed all of her books. Ms. Owens just has a way of making me believe in happily ever after. This book deals with some really serious and heartbreaking topics, b

Jenny and Dylan

This is the first contemporary novel I've read by Sandra Owens. I'm a huge fan of her historical novels, so I thought that I'd start with this new series. Am I glad that I did? Absolutely!

I loved these characters. I feel like the biggest small town gossip because I was eating up the details of everyone's lives, plotting matrimonial setups, my mouth was watering over Mary's doughnuts and I was tittering about each of her hair color changes just as if I was working at the town gossi

This is the beginning of Ms Owens new series about three childhoods girlfriends now adults. Each hoping to follow their dreams.
The series is not only a departure from her previous series, but the style is as well. Each chapter gives the reader alternate POV of the main characters . Not used to this format, it took me a little to get into the story but once I acknowledged the style, it was easy to be engaged not only in the story line but also in the townspeople and their uniqueness.

Just Jenny is just fantastic. In fact, it's five stars fantastic.

It's the first book in Sandra Owens' Blue Ridge Valley Series and if this book is any indication, the rest of the series will be a must read.

The book centers around Jenny who plans to travel the world to honor a deathbed wish from her twin sister.

To complicate matters, Jenny starts to have feelings for the new police chief of Blue Ridge Valley when Chief Dylan Conrad steps in to help Jenny get rid of the boyfriend who refuses to a

It's a sizzling, sexy, funny, & touching story. Jenny has lived her whole life in

Simply perfect! This book has it all...laughter, romance, angst and passion! Sandy has a way of weaving an intricate story of love and loss into an amazing menagerie of characters. Dylan gives such an amazing “voice” in the book that it becomes a warm blanket - especially when he meets Jenny. Not Jennifer or Jenn but Jenny. (Insert swoon!). This is yet another masterpiece of a relatively unknown author. In a world of Social media Fanatical frenzy, it’s nice to see an author who takes her time to ...more

Blue Ridge Valley Rocks!

I get very excited every time Sandra releases a new book because I love her writing and know I will be taking a wonderful journey with her incredibly charismatic characters. Jenny is sassy, and incredibly strong. Losing her twin sister at a young age has given her life focus and determination. Travel was her goal until Police Chief Dylan came along.
Dylan is my hero. I’ve fallen hard for this special guy. He is lovable, loyal, good hearted and devoted to making the world

Loved the Blue Ridge Valley setting and the cast of characters and the laugh out loud antics they get into. But that aside their was indeed a lot of serious going on. Dylan Conrad, Chief of Police in Blue Ridge Valley - what a Hottie and I definitely have a crush on him. Really strong multilayered character that drew me right in and I couldn't wait to see what life experiences made him the man he is. And then there was Jenny Girl! As strong as she was - with her life plans all laid out in front ...more

Just Jenny is the first book in Ms. Owens new, Blue Ridge Valley series. Following 3 childhood friend's. Jenny, Autumn and Savannah. Ms. Owens first small series. I love small town romance. And this is probably Ms. Owens best work to date. Probably my absolute favorite of her books. And I love everything she does. I loved the new police chief, Dylan Conrad. He's probably going to be my favorite Sandra hero forever. And again, I love them all. He was perfect. Kind. Honorable, a gentleman. Drop de ...more

Amazing book!!!

Just Jenny was amazing! I couldn’t help but fall in love with Jenny and Dylan. Jenny is spunky and knows exactly what she wants and doesn’t let things stand in the way, even if it means letting something special go. Dylan is one sexy cop trying to start over in a new town. Their stories had me in tears. I love how the story itself unfolds and how their bond grows stronger even though their pasts continuously interferes. Some of the other characters had me laughing or spit-fire mad

This is the first of a new series about 3 friends in Blue Ridge Valley. Jenny is working to save money so she can fulfill her life dream of traveling the world. Nothing is going to keep from her dream including, Dylan, the new sheriff. Dylan has moved to Blue Ridge from Chicago, where he worked as a police officer, to recover from a bad case of burnout. Neither was expecting the sparks that started flying as soon as they met. Blue Ridge Valley is a quaint little town near the Appalachian Trail. ...more

A Sweet, Steamy Love Story, and a Dog Named Daisy!

If you love a sweet, well written love story with relatable characters and quickly small towns, you will love Just Jenny. Sandra Owens's latest Series is just as page turning as her earlier Aces and Eights Series. Small town girl with a need to travel the world falls for a big city cop who is running from his past. A fun love story

I love Jenny and Dylan's love story from the first time they laid eyes on each other. Who doesn't like a hero like Dylan who chases away Jenn's stalker ex-boyfriend or figures out the cold case of a missing prize winning bull. A refreshing easy to read love story.

Having read Ms. Owens two other series, K2 and FBI books, this amazing story of Jenny and Dylan is a definite departure from what we have experienced from this author and I can say unequivocally that this is her finest work to date. The author’s ability to narrate in the first person is perfect and her knack of giving each character a sense of humor and just the right amount of angst makes them seem real and that talented writing shines throughout the book. Jenny and Dylan’s story draws the read ...more

It was a great book - loved the characters and how they were respectful of each other - Jenny and her 'hot" cop Dylan are a great guide to how to to treat someone when you are in a relationship - love and respect. Where Jenny has a dream and Dylan is unsure - he finally meets her on her world tour and while they start a new relationship they slowly close the doors on the past. ...more

Geez! This will be hard to review. It was written in the first person, yuck, BUT worst of all was the narration of Felicity Hart. Every single time it was Jenny’s turn in the book I cringed, because every single time the female narrator spoke as Dylan he sounded just like a girl. Not even the slightest attempt to sound manly. WTH is wrong with so many female narrators? This is 2019! At least try! As to Edward Thomas, he was a joy to listen to. He actually sounded feminine when he was speaking as ...more

With likable, adorable, yet realistic characters in a small Blue Ridge town setting, Sandra Owens opens the new series, Blue Ridge Valley, with an entertaining tale of Jenny Nance, the local, lovable, gorgeous, ginger bartender with wanderlust, and Dylan Conrad, the widowed, rich, and handsome new chief of police from Chicago.

Fans of Sandra Owens will love Just Jenny. And if you are new to her books, Just Jenny is a terrific introduction. Told in the first person with alternating points of view between the hero and heroine, Just Jenny is the story of Jenny Nance, who is looking forward to traveling the world and keeping a promise to her dead twin, and Dylan Conrad, Blue Ridge Valley’s newest resident and new police chief looking for a fresh start after a tragedy. Just Jenny

Another great start to a new series plus a awesome author.

Dylan and Jenny had instant attraction. Dylan a new guy in town the new sheriff. Jenny a lifelong resident trying to stay clear of a ex boyfriend. Dylan helped her out and something they both weren't expecting began. Now if they can keep it simple and not let their hearts get involved but seldom does that happen.
