King and Breezy: A Short Story
For Brionna “Breezy” Lee, life has been hell for as long as she can remember. Being mentally, verbally, sexually, and physically abused at the hands of her mother, it seems as if she will never get a break. The only thing keeping her sane is her best friend King, who’s always been by her side;but even he is starting to become frustrated, as she says she’s fed up with the abuse, but continuously makes excuses for why she won’t seek help. Will Breezy’s loyalty to a mother who couldn’t care less about her cause even more tragedy, or will she listen to her friend and get out before it’s too late?

Good short story
This was a really good short story that held my interest but I had to give it four stars because of the editing. There were a couple of instances where the sentences started off with he/she and then switched to I, either within the sentence or directly after. The characters and the plot were believable. Initially I felt bad for Breezy but the lessons taught & learned throughout this both made her rise to the top. I will definitely recommend this short story as a break from the rough, raw, hard core urban fiction books.

King!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so sad this was a short story.. I want more.. A lot more.. Hopefully it leads to a full book.. (hint hint) They were a few minor editing errors but they don't take away from tha story at all.. I loved Breezy and Kings realtionship he was so caring and protective of her.. I hate tha life that was dealt for Breezy she was such a sweetheart.. Her mom was a pos and so was Terry.. I would love to read more about her & King and I want to kno if she ever confronts her father.. Great job as always Tonya..

She never disappoints me!
Wow! This was a page turner as I literally read it in one setting. I am already an emotional person lol, but this had me crying, mad, and happy all in two hours! Great short story Ms. West. I don't want to say much without giving spoilers but I will say I felt like I was watching a little movie. I felt every character and loved Annette. 5 stars of course! #alwaysafan

A definite must read!
I really enjoyed reading this book. It had me going through a whole range of emotions. I cried, I really cried! I felt it for Breezy. She went through so much with her mother and Terry. And to add to that she had to deal with her true feelings for King. I was happy that she was able to conquer and do better with herself even after all she has been through. Great read! Loved it!

Wow
This book is just wow, it very emotional and a very good read, it's a page turner once you pick it up its hard to put down. This book just highlight child abuse mentally ,physically and emotionally, but I'm glad that this young lady was strong enough to withstand it all and I like her support system in her best friend and his family, and her love of writing , because I think without them she would have been lost. Thanks again Ms. West for another wonderful masterpiece.:)

Great Read
This is definitely one short story that left me wanting more. I hope that we get to hear more on King and Breezy in the near future, the book just can't end there. I was so mad at Breezy for continuing to go back to her mom, she surprised me though. Breezy became a very stong young woman despite the abuse and, I admired her for that!

Loved it!!!
This was a very good short story and can't wait to see what happens next. I felt real bad for Breezy she through a lot, the way her mama treated was horrible I just horrible, but you what karma had a way of showing up and showing out. Breezy was very strong through everything she went she got it together and things started looking up for her.

Every young kid that has experienced these things should read this book. Great revenge ever is to have your haters watch you elevate.
This author is great. Each time I read her book, I can see her growth. Great read! Waiting for part 2; hopefully before I forget the story lol! Never that! Enjoy!

Wow
As I read this book I cried each time Breeze got abused by her mom. No child deserve to go through something like that. I feel like her momma need to go to jail because she abused her daughter and she was told what her boyfriend did to her child and she didn't take it serious.

Amazing
I really enjoyed the story. Although Breezy had a lot of negative in her life, she didn’t let it deter her from being great. I believe King & breezy would make an amazing power couple.

Beautiful
It was hard to read in the beginning. I couldn't take reading how Breezy was treated. But I love how strong she was and how she tried to make her life better. I can't wait to read more about King and Breezy.

Nice read
A friend gifted me this book and I went in with no expectations. This was an excellent short story. I was glad Breezy finally got the courage to stand up for herself. I read more from this author.

What a ride!!!!
Loved it. Very fast paced and straight to the action at hand. With each chapters end it left you eager to start the next. Great overall read. I’d recommend this book to just about anyone. Two thumbs up! 👍🏽👍🏽

GOOD BOOK!!!
This book was really good. I laughed and cried. I hated to see it end. I was hoping for another part. I loved King and Breezy's relationship. This is definitely a great book to read. I highly recommend it. La'Tonya you did a great job with this book..
