Neat introduction to the field. I had expected to see a more thorough treatment of the specific explanatory virtues - what they are, how to apply them, whether they are truth-apt, etc. But Lipton only mention these at a few places, and never with further lengthy elaboration. Thus 4 stars for a good introduction.
