Darkness Disguised as Light is a wonderfully written manuscript that discusses many personal experiences within the paranormal and Love, Light, and Peace community. Maya Zahira pens her soul into this relevant book that discusses psychic attack and how it finds its way into many spiritual communities, as well as ways to protect yourself from these attacks. Maya goes into detail to really allow the reader to understand and comprehend if they are victims of these types of attacks. I would recommend this book to anyone that works in the paranormal or spiritual community as it gives real life experiences that hit close to home. I was able to meet Maya at the Kansas City Paracon in August and look forward to working with her in the future.

Required Reading
Having problems with ghosts, weird energy, unexplainable emotions, physical symptoms and other odd things? If you’re an empath, intuitive, energy healer, energy worker, psychic, medium, channel, OR just interested in these topics or other topics like them, grab this book. I read it first for free on kindle, in one straight session. I did not want to put it down.And then bought a physical copy. This book would have saved me so much pain and suffering had I known about it.
It’s easy to read, with her own personal experiences, including her own failures to see the root of the problem. It makes it all the more impressionable to hear the explanations in her real world experiences. These are things that have happened to many of us! And these stories are expertly woven in with real life tools, explanations and just practical help. Finally, help is here, and it’s easy and understandable!
Just read it. Then you’ll be buying copies to hand out. It’s that well written and important. Take it from someone that’s been there.

A great read! Maya visits uncharted territory and provides a map. Psychic protection is something that most people need, but how does one go about getting it? Lots of ideas here! Maya explains why it is important to protect yourself in spiritual circles, how being a good and spiritual person can actually make you a target, and how to cope! She has many suggestions, from explaining how to manage the psychic component of everyday stress, to dealing with extreme manifestations of psychic attack. Soul-searching questions are included which encourage readers to examine their motivations and to always act with integrity. This is an intelligent and original approach to a topic that too often is not taken seriously, if it is considered at all. Highly recommended!

A wonderful reality check for the New Ager
Just for the record I don't consider myself a new ager I see myself as more occultist and Esotericst. So I found Maya's tales and lessons echoing the warning of esoteric orders whose traditions have known of these evils for years. For me this was a wonderful read for me to recommend to an associate I have who has had spiritual experience but doesn't have the time to take up a more traditional Esoteric study. I know Maya wouldn't be kind to Magicians, Magicians, and Voodoo practitioners but we appreciate her contribution to the collection of great Psychic defense books, I will definitely put it next to Robert Bruce and Dion Fortune.

I met Maya Zahira before her writing the book, but just knew her truth would help others.
Her book has support the truth of psychic protection is real and psychic attacks are real. I witnessed them personally in my own life and childhood trauma.
