The Summer I Loved You will take you on an emotional journey that is full of tears, heart ache and love. This is the first installment in the new series, A Love for All Seasons.

Cameron Blake grew up with some overbearing and manipulating parents. They were just awful, they used their children for their own benefits. But somehow, Cam didn’t turn out to bad at all. He is a very successful artist with a background in Pro-Baseball. His love life kinda took a back to seat to it all, and never really

I really loved this one.Miss Lora did one amazing job when she brought this characters to life.
Adri and Cam were one hell of a couple.Sexy, loving and angsty, sooo much angsty.
I loved the plot of this book. There is something about second chance romance that always keeps me on the edge, and this book really did that to me.I liked the chemistry between Cam and Adri, and I really fell in love with their daughter Bron. This book would't be the same without her.

I previously thought I had come back to rate and review The Summer I Loved You, but apparently, I did not. Shame on me.

This is a second-chance romance with just a dash of a secret baby plot thrown in for good measure. Lots of romance and steam, and all the things I have come to enjoy from reading a JL Lora book.

Cameron and Adrianna are a good pair, and their mini-me is a perfect addition to their story, instead of the annoying afterthought that child-characters can sometimes be.

All in all, I

I just love a good second chance romance story. So when I saw the sign up for ‘The Summer I Loved You’ it immediately sparked my interest. I read the book description and I just knew I wanted to read this book. So obviously I was super excited when I got an email approving me to read an ARC.

In ‘The Summer I Loved You’ we meet Cameron Blake and Adrianna Arenas. Cameron and Adrianna where madly in love with each other almost ten years ago. But a fight, made worse by their stubbornness and Cam’s op

"The Summer I Loved You" is a very emotional, angsty, second chance romance between two characters, Adriana and Cameron that have been through, what I consider "hell", both together when they were younger and then separate as a decade passes by and then when they reconnect, that's a whole other drama because it's not just about them but about the safety, both mental and emotional of their daughter, Bron, who Cameron had no idea existed and he was always adamant of never having kids... as you re ...more

Adrianna Arenas and Cameron Blake fell in love one summer time when they were teenagers, but then a huge fight set their lives on a course that neither would have ever guessed. Cam took off to play ball, while Adri waited for him to come back to her. They don't see each other again face to face for 10 years. See, fate brought them together disguised as a tiny human named Bron, and it doesn't take a genius to see that neither got over the other. Not to mention, it's time to put the past to rest i ...more

Some people should never be parents, especially, those who’ve purposely ruined their children’s lives by telling deceitful lies and keeping secrets from them, all the while selfishly taking from them. Those lies and secrets can force someone to make decisions that will have consequences and affect so many others. This is the premise of The Summer I Loved You, an emotional and angsty second chance love story that proves Fate can rectify past mistakes, even if it takes a while to do so.

When Cameron Blake hears a dissenting opinion of his art at one of his showings, he's surprised to find the non-fan is a young girl of about 9 years old. She's bright, she's bold and she's opinionated. And she somehow ignites protective feelings in him that Cameron didn't even know he possessed, and he finds himself escorting her home in his limo. Imagine his (and Bron's mother's) surprise when Bron's mother turns out to be Cam's ex of about 10 years. Hmm...

Adrianna and Cam had a whirlwind of a summer when they were young but once that summer ended they knew they’d never cross paths again. Almost 10 years have passed before Cam steps foot near their old home town again (excluding any games) and he meets someone he was definitely not expecting. They are thrown back together and just when they start to let their guards down the past comes back to bite them. They have to decide if their chemistry and love is stronger than their past battles.

The Summer I Loved You is a five star read for me!

J.L. Lora, where have you been hiding? The opening pages of the prologue really lured me in. This second-chance romance turned into a very complex, heart-wrenching tale that left my emotions in shambles. Who knew that Cameron and Adrianna would be reconnected again!

I thought the way the author did the whole thing with Bron leaving school and showing up at Cam's exhibit was really original and unique. I do have to say though, the shock at finding

The summer I love You was the first book I've ever read from this author.

I like second chances romance so when I started to read this book I hope that it will be good one. I like also when second chances giving me a little drama... because then book can be deadly goreous.

What I liked the most was the tension between Adrianna and Cam...

I love to read when I have this kind of passion in my books. Your heart can beating so strong that You can hardly breathe . .. Yes I love feel this way during rea

From reading the blurb I expected a completely different story, but what I got instead didn’t disappoint me. I was immediately sucked into the story and fell in love with the characters. Honestly, I couldn’t pick a favorite if I needed to.
The plot unraveled easily and even though I guessed where it would lead, I still liked how it al turned out. It was not a new idea, but the structure built around the trope was beautiful and I really really liked

Wonderful second-chance romance. Young love can be so foolish which lead to a separation for Adrianna and Cam. As Cam works to change is career away from baseball and to his true passion, art, he doesn’t expect to cross paths with such a captivating and precocious fan in Bronwyn. As Cam is reunited with his first and only love, he finds out he is a father, something he never expected to be based on the crappy example that his father provided. The connection between Cam and Bron is fabulous. As t ...more

A beautiful story of forgiveness and love that I recommend.

The past is the crux of the matter for both Adrianna Arenas & Cameron Blake. Secrets and lies wormed their way in, laying waste to good memories from a summer where their love was the best thing in Acacia Falls.

I fell in love quickly with Bron. Her adorable mischievousness stole my heart and gave this second chance romance an added layer of awesomeness. Cam & Adri's chemistry was another reason this story was so good. They were c

This is the second book I've read that's written by J. Lora. I love how the story begins. Cameron Blake is at his exhibition and he meets a young girl and when he drives her home, he learns that the girl is his daughter. It's a kick to the guts and I wanted to read on, hoping that he'd finally make peace with his past, but when you're new to parenting, have a family that controls you only for the money you give them, and an ex who is reluctant to open up to you again, then nothing comes easy. This is my 1st read and review for this author and wow what an amazing story it’s a second chance romance and it’s about Cameron and Adrianna. Cameron and Adrianna had a whirlwind romance one summer until they had a argument and Cameron left a broken hearted Adrianna he also left her a gift. 10 years later Cameron comes back in to town and they happen to bump into each other, the attraction is still there between them and they re connect but what happens when Cameron’s horrible parents start int ...more

Oh I love secret babies and second chance for love romances. Just like this one. Cameron never expected to ever see Adrianna again until his nine year old daughter came to find him. Ten years of secrets and lies that separated these two lovers, reunited through the love of their daughter despite the greedy machinations of Cameron's father. Wonderful story, I loved reading it! Don't you just love the title? So romantic.

They were teenage sweethearts for a summer that had so much promise and one misunderstanding turned happiness into so much hurt and anger. Cameron took his father up on his offer and left town leaving Adrianna to pick up the pieces. Nine years later he is at an art gallery when a precocious little girl criticizes his work. Little does he know that she would change his life and give him back everything he thought he lost.

I just love a good second chance romance and this one was a super read. This is Cameron and Adrianna's story these two were madly in love ten years ago until a horrible fight and their parents drove them apart he left and never came back but he did leave her with a little daily reminder of himself. Neither one has ever stopped caring for the other one when they meet up again after ten years the chemistry is still really strong between them. Such a sweet second chance love story, both Cam and Adrianna we very likeable and together with the cute little Bron, you couldn’t hope that everything would turn out right 😁 loved the other characters Lauren, Chase and Lux and hopefully their stories will follow 🤞 this is quite a long story but even then I just wished for a later epilogue but then maybe we’ll get more from them in the follow up books in the series 😁

I absolutely loved this book. It was filled with angst, hope, love. All the things that make a great story. Cam and Adrianna were a perfect match for each other. Both being led astray by Cam's father years before, they were able to get past the pain and start over. A perfect second chance book! Hope there's more to come with the rest of the family.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This second chance romance was written so well, I had trouble putting it down. From the way Can met Bron, to the intense passion filled arguments Adrianna and Cameron can't help but get into, it was all page turning. Throw in the mystery in there and the extremely unexpected bomb dropped in there, it made for a really great read! And the intimate scenes were very steamy!

This is a second chance book.I'm not really a fan of second chances I feel like they are all written exactly the same and they are very predictable. That however changed with this book. This book was amazing the characters brought different emotions to the table and each emotion brought new feelings that were so real. If you love second chance books or just want to read something that gives you the feels this is your book

Thoroughly enjoyed this from start to end. First story I've read by the author but won't be the last.

This was full of great characters in a story of second chance love. Secrets, lies and a bit of mystery were all well told along with a bit of sizzling sex. I have to say that I think my favourite character was the young sassy Bron.

- Adrianna has regret the words that sent Cameron out of her life. Cameron has been avoiding the memories of the past.  In comes Brownyn and changes everything.

This family must face the worse of trials to be happy.  They do it with the love of those that truly matter.

This book was a wonderful modern tale of love, forgiveness and family.
