A lighthearted revisiting of my time there, and most importantly how I came to love these two amazing dogs. A loving exploration of two funny and wonderful dogs, Sammy and Shrink.

An OK read, if you like dogs.

I am, and have been, a dog lover/owner all my life. That's why I read this book. The story seems to be a recitation of a brief period in the authors life, which was interesting but rather bland. Also it needed better proofing. There were 2 aspects I did like:
1. The dogs depictions
2. The authors description of the boy's growing love for and understanding of, Africa and the people.

While a good topic, sounds like it was written by a kid.
