After much deliberation, we have decided to cancel the tour. Due to the CDC's recommendation to cancel or postpone events for 8 weeks, we don't want to risk the public safety of any reader. I'm so heartbroken to have to do this, but I hope that you still pre-order the book and share it!

Thank you to the publishers for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

It took me a while to get into the book because not a lot was going on but the end is so fast paced that I burned through it. There were a lot of twists and while I was able to guess most of them, I stayed entertained. I also thought the magic with the use of memories and how that played out with the story was cool. That being said, I wish that the magic and world had been better

3.75* Of course the first fantasy I've read in months that's left me desperately needing more , is the one fantasy I have to wait over a year to even get close to getting my hands on book two but THAT ENDING. I just... AHH.

This book took me a while to get through (as per usual with me and fantasy) and I did find it to be a little too lengthy (again, probably just because as much as I love the genre, I find fantasy hard work). However, the story intrigued me from the get go and honestly, after

A book filled with intrigue, secrets, spies and complicated relationships. With a memory thief at the center you know it's going to be a lot of secrets and twists and turns! Add in Zoraida Cordova's beautiful writing and ability to give us a gorgeous slow burn romance, and this will be one of your favorite new YA fantasies for sure!

3.5 stars! It was fun to read a new to me YA fantasy series starter. I enjoyed the magic set-up, liked the plot (though I may have read one too many YA fantasies in general which is how I ended up guessing a lot of the details) and I actually particularly enjoyed the last 100 pages or so of the book (where a lot of action takes place). Im curious to see where book two will take us! ...more

I was so excited to get my hands on an ARC of this book and I was not disappointed! I love Ren as a main character and the world building is aces. I also always really love it when an author seeds just enough hints about the twist throughout the story that I figure it out a little before the reveal (but I wont say more than that!) Definitely make sure this book is on your radar for April when it comes out. ...more

This is going to be another of my unpopular opinions (may contain spoilers).

I was really looking forward to reading this book, but I was really underwhelmed.

First 20% of the book, I found myself looking up on Goodreads and online if this was a sequel. I felt I could not really understand the world building and what was going on. Rather, Renata, the protagonist, spoke like she took it for granted that the reader was able to understand certain references. And I was like: "Wait, what?". That's why

This book is so good! I love anything Zoraida writes, so of course this did not disappoint. The world is interesting and I loved the magic system. I can't wait to hopefully learn more about the magic in the sequel. I also liked that since the main character doesn't know her own past, I got to figure it out as she did, piecing everything together. Loved it and I can't wait for book 2!

Thank you so much to Hodder & Stoughton and NetGallery for the eARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Incendiary is set in a fantasy world inspired by Inquisition-era Spain. The concept of having a character who can steal memories intrigued me. But while the world and concept were interesting, this book was in some ways disappointing.

The opening few chapters grabbed my attention, but there was a lot of new information for the reader, some of which could have been explained

Thank you, as always, to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC.

Who IS Renata Convida? That seems to be the prominent question Incendiary aims to solve. She was raised to steal memories and turn people into Hollows, empty shells of themselves. And then she spent her adolescent years trying to redeem herself and negate all the pain and destruction she caused. She soon starts to realize that its difficult to erase the past for herself, even if she can erase it for others, being a Robarí, one of

I was so excited to receive this book at Yallfest. It starts off at the beginning with a spy covering for another spy. Chaos ensues. Then you meet the main characters. You learn a bit about the magic system. Then then author does some straight up George R. R. Martin. You're like whoa. Then it becomes a story of revenge. It was very thrilling and exciting then moved into a slow burn. It was almost as if you're reading the sequel to the book you originally started. All you want is to see the MC ...more
