Four books in one! The ultimate binge read!Travel with Steve, doomed for eternity to serve as Hell’s Mr. Fixit, on a wild ride through the Circles of Hell in this best-selling humorous fantasy series. The box set includes a complete story arc originally published in Hell’s Super A Cold Day In Hell Deal With The Devil The Reluctant Demon CIRCLES IN HELL has been variously described as satire and humor, comedy fantasy or paranormal humor in the spirit of Christopher Moore, Tom Holt, Douglas Adams and Gary Larson. The series takes the everyday frustrations of modern life and expands them to Hellish proportions. You never know who you will run into in Cain's cracked Inferno. You might encounter a great inventor, a movie star, a mythological being, a very large bat and, of course, more than the occasional devil and demon._______________________________________________Comedy Fiction Book CategoriesSatire and HumorFantasy Comedy booksScience Fiction ComedyHell FictionHumorous Fantasy e-booksDevils and DemonsFiction HumorParanormal Humor
My work could best be described as satire, with a little fantasy thrown in. This is a good characterization of my comic fantasy series, CIRCLES IN HELL.
Audible:A year or so ago I reviewed the 4th book in this series .I didn't really like it but now I know I needed the background of all the others. This is a fun filled trip through all the levels of hell.Steve Minion and his co worker Orson(Wells of course) are superintendents for everything that goes wrong. They answer to Beezil, who answers to Satan. Each book is basically them trying to figure out why something isn't working. My favorite has to be 'If hell freezes over'.Just think what all could happen if it actually did! It's a fun, gross, you'll love it! Michael Gilboe was the perfect narrator.I was given this book by the narrator, author or publisher free for an honest review.
This is awesome! It's four books in one, a great deal. Poor Steve, doomed from a life of economics in life to the position of Super in death - straight to hell, fixing crap. What a crap deal he got! It's edgy, hilarious, creepy, and fun! And what to make it even better! Steve teams up with Orson Welles for all sorts of goings-on (yes, THAT Orson lol!). It's a rip-roaring good time, I really enjoyed the whole hellerific thing. Crazy adventures, recommended for a great listen :) I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
I absolutely love this series. I have listened to the audiobook series at least 7 times. the series starts off great and just gets better. The thing I like the most is the unpredictability of the plot. Just when you think you know what to expect, you get thrown one hell of a curveball. All of the characters are so rich, no two dimensional characters here! It is amazing that the author can make you care as much about ancillary characters and their story as the main protagonist. I found myself wanting to know as much about Beelzebub, Charon, Booh, and St Peter as Steve and Orson!
Hell's bells, it's damned near impossible to say anything bad about Mark Cain's devilishly delightful series Circles In Hell. Divine satiric wit, strangely believable storyline and compelling characters on both sides of the Gates. Mr. Cain includes numerous historical figures, many of whom you wouldn't have expected to see down south, and his imagination, creativity, intellect and humor are spectacular. Three cheers for Steve Minion, Florence Nightingale, Orson Welles, Charon, Nixon and Beezey!
I received the audiobook free for an honest review. Very simple review: EVERYONE LISTEN TO THIS!!!! This is a humorous set of books, well written, and well narrated. The main character is Steve, Hell's Super. He's tasked with fixing the broken things in Hell. The first book is the escalator needing fixing, and a revolution to stop; the second book the heating system of Hell. I haven't listened to the third and fourth book yet, but I love this series!
Truly addictive read, it was hard to put down. Strong characters, well written dialogue and the “mysteries” the protagonist faces are complex and engrossing. Look forward to reading more in this series.
Loved all 4 books, very well written, they kept me engaged and coming back to see what happened. Loved the characters and they way history and our beliefs were woven into the books
Excellent festival of chortles, guffaws, laughs, titters and all round good fun for all. Thoroughly entertaining tales from the dark side of life after death. Laudable listening, thank you Mark Cain, much appreciated. :-)
