so you're telling me that Parker (H) has been pining over Kenra (h) since freshman year of high school, who has been breaking his heart over and over and OVER again because she kept "choosing" OM over him, but still fights for her, never gives up on her, doing things just to make her laugh and smile just because he knows she hasn't done those things in a while, chose her over his best friend and future career as CEO of a football team and sports photography company because Kenra is his "everything", showing her pieces of herself that she lost along the way and never stopped loving her all the while knowing that she's gonna leave and break his heart all over again as she's engaged to this OM but if she ever comes back he'll still accept her with open arms is BEING 👏🏼 SLEPT 👏🏼 ON?!
why is my mans Parker ignored??
is it because he's not an asshole? because he's not a bully who would rather tear her down and would laugh at her own misery? because he didn't get over her or try to forget her by sleeping with a lot of OWs? is it because he is not toxic whatsoever and is actually very mature and instead of hurting the heroine and make her feel the pain she made him feel, he never stopped fighting for her and did everything in his power just to make her happy knowing it'll make HIM unhappy??

↠ this book is about Parker, Kalani's (h from the first book fumbled hearts) best friend and Nate's (H from the first book) older sister, Kenra. Parker and Kenra have been secretly best friends for years and Kenra has been dating Kellan (OM) throughout those years. Kenra would always cry on Parker's shoulder whenever OM hurts her but at the end of the day, she would always choose OM over Parker even though she loves him. why? well that's the whole plot of the book so im not gonna spoil it here, though, it does have something to do with the OM.
since Parker is underrated, imma just show y'all why he needs to be appreciated:

even though this book was good, here are my dislikes:
— instead of Kalani hanging out with Parker's sister, it should've been the heroine doing that.
— we should've read more of the heroine's character development cuz it wasn't satisfying enough for me.
— there should've been a scene where everyone finds out the reason why Kenra was choosing the OM over Parker because by then, literally everyone hated her and they should've apologized for thinking that she's weak and thank her for protecting all of them, especially Kalani. she would always talk shit about Kenra but there were no scenes where they bonded.
— aaand i just really wanted to see more of Parker and Kenra being a couple.
i really didn't expect to cry here but this book pulled a game of thrones move on me where im finally connecting with a character and (spoiler) they end up DYING (!). and i was also crying cuz i felt bad for Parker. he really did love the h and i can't imagine the pain he felt for years.
anyways, Parker is book boyfriend material and... Mason, Captain and Royce WHO???

please please please Parker is the cutest, hear me out, this man loves like no other man does. He gives his heart, his soul, his everything for the woman he loves and nothing, no one, not even his goddamn family, could make him stop and I am so jealous of Kens.
🏒 if you’re ready to love and suffer through this duology, then I swear you won’t be disappointed, you’ll have both. I cried SO MUCH during this whole book (yes it’s harder than the first one). It breaks me to see how people struggle with themselves. How it’s so hard for them to be, to live and to love.
🥅 I was « Parker deserves so much better » team for 80% of the book and I don’t take it back cause 98% of their problems would have been solved 4 years ago if she just talked, but I guess they were young and they didn’t know better…
💃 I’m so happy of how everything ends but omg did it break my heart. I didn’t expect the accident (I won’t spoil so 🤐) but it was so hard to read and to process 😪
if you wanted to skip these two books and jump into say you swear right away, don’t. Read them, they deserve it.

ALRIGHT SOOOO FARRRR this is the best book yet! this still had issues obviously which is why i couldn't give it 4 stars or more.
!!!SPOILERS!!!

ALSO: when i say lolli - i'm talking abt kalani that's just her nickname!
here's why i enjoyed this one more than the others:
1) the best mmc yet. PERIOD i said what i said. out of noah, mason, nate, and parker, parker is the BEST ONE. i'll go more into him but honestly i still feel like he deserved better. he's a sweetie and is so precious i love him sm!!
2) this book made me the most emotional out of all the books so far. there were scenes in this book that were also in promise me not but for SOME REASON they hit more in this book. tell me WHY parker's pov hurt more than reading PAYTON'S from promise me not even tho she was the one who lost deaton. anyway, this book actually got me and i did feel bad for parker and even kenra.
3) parker and kenra had rly cute scenes. i wish we got more but, they were rly cute and angsty HEHE.
4) they kept saying "no matter what" AND IT WAS JUST GIVING HUGHIELIZZIE 😩😩 (MY BABIES) OKAY??
5) the monroe's are so sweet (the parents). genuinely such nice people and i like the found family trope in this one (parker and lolli's friendship - THO ig he liked her?).
ANYWAY, here's my flaws with the book:
1) THE NICKNAMES??? WTHHHH NIGHTINGALE and SAFETY???? RLY??? dumb nicknames i'm sorry but these books do NAWT know how to do nicknames NGL. there's been more bad ones than good ones.
2) kenra frustrated me. LISTENNN i get her okay and i do feel bad for her but MAN she could've communicated yk? there was a scene where i think kenra actually had to tell parker smthn abt kellan but GUESS WHAT? they end up FAWKING. RLY KENRA? anyway, i get it was hard for her to open up but miss girl it's been 4 yrs.
3) nate and lolli are CUTEEE but their random problems were unnecessary (wanting kids blah blah blah) but also WHY DIDN'T WE GET A PROPOSAL SCENE WHAT?? we were robbed.
4) the contract stuff was too much and made no sense tbh. ALSO parker immediately being okay with lolli losing the company was CRAZY ngl bcz that's literally her dead family's company and her JOB LIKE WHAT??? it all worked out in the end but STILL parker should've spoken to lolli abt that first. also doing that for someone who i'm sorry but rly wasn't there for u at all is crazy.
5) i feel like there should've been more scenes of kenra and payton bonding. we got more lolli and payton which was nice too but didn't kenra BRING payton to parker in the first place?
ANYWAY, character time!
kenra monroe: OKAYYYY so i'm 50/50 abt this girl. again, i felt rly bad abt her sh and overall her life. i found aspects of her to be relatable and AGAIN AGAIN AGAIN, i felt bad OKAY? the girl was going through HELL and no one had any idea (parker sorta did). i rly love what she did at the end tho with the company she ATEE!!!! but yeah she's not terrible but she did annoy me at times when it came to ditching parker: again babes, u can COMMUNICATE. she hurt parker SO badly. but yeah, other than that she's okay. i would've treated parker better tho JUST SAYING!!!
parker baylor: I LOVE THIS MAN!!!! one of the best yearners i've read abt tbh!!!! the way parker LOVES kenra >>>>> gosh i love him. he was so sweet (tbh i LOVEEEEE nate but lolli FUMBLED CAN'T LIEE 🤭🤭) but yeah parker is so sweet. aside from being an incredible love interest, he's such a good friend too (okay besies immediately giving up lolli's company for kenra - like it was sweet but also kinda mean to do to lolli LMAO). but overall he was rly great.
them as a romance:
tbhh i just feel like we didn't get enough of them. smthn i rly liked was that parker wasn't lusty or anything he was genuinely SO SWEET to kenra 🥹🥹 they had sweet moments and they had angst too but i still wish we got more scenes of them bcz it rly felt like parker deserved better. also again, WE SHOULD'VE GOTTEN MORE SCENES!!!!!! we barely got anything idk smthn was missing. but they're still cute and i rly liked them!
other characters:
kalani embers & nate monroe: again, their problems weren't necessary and we should've gotten a proposal scene but they were cute! didn't get much of them and NGL nate lowkey did NOTHING in this book LMAO but they were still cute. rly love lolli and how she's willing to fight for parker.
payton baylor: she was lowkey bratty in this book but obviously i felt bad for her in the end. OMG her and deaton were so cute in this book it makes me so sad that they're not endgame 😭 i'm sorry but i do NAWT like mason and payton together at all.
kellan (idc abt his last name): NASTY MAN. he's horrible and just evil. he gives me......republican vibes......

Parker Baylor. You are the best type of person. You're strong, thoughtful, vulnerable, loving and patient...and those blue eyes and biceps to boot! I could go on and on, but I can't get too sappy over here! But if I were going to get sappy for anyone it would be you.
Meagan Brandy hooked us in Fumbled Hearts with characters that were strong and no holds barred. Yet they are also loving and needing to be loved in the worst way. Defenseless Hearts not only gives a peek into their lives as their life continues but it adds some of the greatest side characters I've read in a long time. Meagan continues her tradition of showing true life people with true life issues and the strength to overcome those by being surrounded by good people who love you.
If you thought Meagan teased us with greatness in Nate and Kalani's story, be prepared to see even more greatness in Parker's story. I won't mention his "beloved", because you should read it to find out who she is! But know that her story is not an easy one, there will be some times where you can't imagine that Parker could/should be with her. But trust the process! We are not privy to everything that has happened for a bit and in the end you'll be singing her praises. It's all about the love of a good person, and trusting that you are deserving of that love.

Sigh. After the absolute love I had for the first book, and the crush I had on Parker (it's cool, Nate, you're still my No. 1.), this book had me all:
But then. I hated. Kenra. I couldn't even sympathize for her. I don't even care why she did all the things she does. I know it's a real problem. But in my romance?? Bye.

Not at all what I expected
First off, I hate leaving negative reviews normally if I don't enjoy something I opt to just not leave a review. After taking a day to decompress after reading this book and taking into consideration the high reviews I decided to leave one because I just can't wrap my head around this book still. I loved the first book so much I've read it multiple times. When I saw there was another one coming out I was so excited, the beginning was fine but I will say I thought the heroine was weak and took Parker for a ride. This is not a healthy kind of love that is portrayed,

It is not healthy to literally forsake everyone in your quest to be with a person. It's not sexy or understandable the way Parker chooses to screw his best friend over with her team and her legacy from her parents and grandfather for someone who walks away from you constantly. The contract aspect is weak and the Payton twist was crap in all honesty. And the way everyone just forgives everything she did is amazing. While I would never read or recommend this book I would recommend the first book and I would try another book from this author in the future simply based on how much I loved the first one.

Love Parker in Fumbled Hearts. And I really was looking forward to his story.
But sadly, Kenra, despite everything she got roped into because of Kellan, didn't do it for me. She was weak and she made endless bad decisions. Given her situation and how Kellan cornered her by threatening all those she holds dear, she should have at least confided in someone. ANYONE.
And her constant back and forth, killing the poor Parker's heart every time, made me sick. There was no situation where what she was doing with him, and to him, was OK with me.
From the get go when she shows up at his place, acting sorry for herself and being standoffish with Lolli, I was like NO NO NO NO! She has no right. And from then on, I just could not see why parker was in love with her. No even a little.
So I guess that is why this drama packed romance didn't do it for me. I wanted it to work, but I just couldn't reconcile all her poor choices and weakness to make her redeemable and likeable.
The other thing being this story was mucho drama and not so much romance. It was lots of family business and had lots of secondary people. I missed the romance mark for me in that regard as well.

Meagan Brandy grabbed my attention with her debut book Complicated Hearts. This second standalone in the series cements her as a one click author for me.
This one has a different kind of NA angst for me. It's more painful and emotional. These characters are brought together and torn apart by circumstances, by bad decisions and by fear. The author touches on some difficult subjects but does it an honest and respectful way. I ranted A LOT during this book, I yelled at my Ipad, sent lots of cranky messages and my heart broke. It's a roller coaster of a read.
Parker is EVERYTHING I knew he would be from book one. He is strong and brave and boy did he make me swoon. I also loved the supporting characters and look forward to their stories being told.

5 Don't Worry....
.... Be Happy Stars
I must admit I was seriously not liking the lead female character at first, because come on this is Parker and he deserves the sun, the moon, and all the damn stars! But I was proven wrong and I adore the hell out of Nightingale. I am so not spoiling the surprise with a real name, come on it's Diary of A Book Fiend, I spoil NOTHING!
The book starts with a surprise on Parker's doorstep.
Every time I think she's gone for good, that maybe I can start to push forward, she shows up and pulls me right back in, right back under
" How long will you stay? " Parker
" I don't know..." she whispers.
In the beginning the time jumps back and forth to the past and back to the present, but it is not done as filler, like some books do. but it shows you how the relationship between the two come to be. It's not easy, and so much is a mystery. It's beautiful.
It was the first time I ever felt someone was listening. Really listening. Not just to hear, but to understand. And not by force, but out of want, maybe even a deeper need than we realized at the time. Whatever it was, she shone some light on me that night. But it was also the second time she walked away from me for him ( took out name to not spoil) . - Parker
-I want him to understand that I heard his pain. I need to let him know I want to hear the story I think he needs to tell. I want to learn everything there is to know. I want to stay. But I do none of those things. Instead, I walk around to the driver's side and slide behind the wheel, wondering at what point I became ( nick name) to the near stranger I just left behind. And, even more why I liked the sound of it.
I fell for the blonde haired, blue eyed boy next door that night, but I was too stupid to know it.
This is a fantastic book in the Tender Heart series. Meagan Brandy has created an epic tale about friendships, family, and love.
I was so glad we got to see what Lolli and Nate have been up to and Lolli never disappoints me with her mouth!

I laughed a lot and of course Meagan Brandy had me ugly crying but it was all worth it. This book was very well written, the pages flowed and I could not put it down!
Oh and super steamy moment which was both super sexy and HOT...
" Touch me, baby." " Anywhere you want. However you want. As long as you want."
I can't wait to see whose book we get next.

✨✨✨This story is consuming, or better PARKER IS CONSUMING . I don't think words could ever describe really what this story had left me. I've never experienced something so strong like the connection between this Characters , other then the ones in Lolli's story.

Meagan Brandy completely wowed me with Fumbled Hearts, Book #1 of the Tender Hearts Series. While you don’t have to read the first book to follow the beautiful storyline in Defenseless Hearts, I highly recommend you do. I can guarantee you will fall in love with these characters right from the start, no doubt wanting more of them all!

I could not WAIT to get more of Parker after falling in love with him in Fumbled Hearts. He is everything and more, this sweet man. He is honest, he is selfless and has a heart of gold. He is patient, kind and downright sexy too boot! The way he takes care of the ones he loves set my heart on fire. Parker didn’t have an easy upbringing and I admire how he’s trying to make a good life for himself. There is no doubt you will be enamored with Hero from page one and want nothing but the very best for him. So, is his Nightingale the best girl for him?
It broke my heart to watch Parker pine for the one girl he can’t have. Time and time again, he was there for her and circumstances continued to keep them apart. Parker believed in love and knew in his heart that he would not be complete without her. I loved Parker so much, I had to have faith in the choices he made where she was concerned. It wasn’t an easy journey, but one he was determined to stick with. It was clear she loved Parker, but some circumstances were beyond her control. It was not always easy, that’s an understatement, to accept the choices she made. But in the end, her decisions were made with Parker in mind and her heart.
#OneClicking Defenseless hearts is a no-brainer. There were some twists and turns I didn’t see coming, but only intensified this angsty love story. Meagan will pull you in with her fabulous storytelling and keep you coming back for more! I cannot wait to see what Meagan has in store for us next.

There are so many things that I love about this book. The writing is good, Parker is a dream, and I feel true sympathy for Kenra. I rooted for these two to find a way to be together from the minute I read the synopsis, and Meagan Brandy also delivers a host of secondary characters who I adore and want to know more about in upcoming books.
I am sure your wondering then why the 3 crown/star review. At the end of the day, the pacing is too slow for me. Readers will figure out pretty early why Kenra chooses to leave Parker time and time again, and Meagan Brandy does show us glimpses of these moments to prove our conclusions to be true and to create sympathy for the heroine, but I needed more of those moments. I needed the villain to come into the story sooner to shake things up. His appearance back in their lives pushes Parker to become a real hero and chase who he really wants, and it makes Kenra develop that backbone she has needed for most of her life. These two characters are the characters I wanted to see sooner. I wanted more time with them and less time with this uncertainty in the beginning. I also wanted to feel the chemistry between them, and I really didn’t. The few times they were intimate were hot, but that never translated to outside of the bedroom for me.
Will I read this author again? Absolutely. I enjoyed the premise of the book, the characters, and the idea behind it. The pacing ultimately just didn’t work for me.

In Defenseless Hearts, just when I thought there was no more angst to be found there was! I need a book to make me feel things, and this book did, in ways I never expected it to.

The hero from this book was my favourite character in book 1 (but that's about the only thing I remember about that book, so that's not saying much), but unfortunately I'm not enjoying this so far. Super slow and includes the very annoying/frustrating "heroine stays with a bad/abusive guy because in order to protect the hero" trope. I have read and loved some books where the heroine is stuck in an abusive relationship, but I need my heroines to be more proactive. Here we are halfway in and the heroine keeps feeling sorry for herself and not doing anything about it, while the hero takes any crumbs she's willing to give him.

I’ve been trying really hard to like this book because Parker is the perfect guy. But I don’t know if i’ll be able to finish it. Kenra... She’s so weak, so boring and so so so wrong for him. He deserves something better, someone better. He is the ultimately good guy having to deal with this bullshit immature girl. So she’s in a abusive relationship. I can understand that. But she wasn’t in one before, in HS. She choose not to be with Parker, even though she wanted, but string him along anyway because that the kind of selfish person she is. Selfish, weak, coward.
He should have been with someone who would never leave. I think Parker and Mia would be a better fit.

Oh Parker! You finally got your story and it was well deserved and amazingly written!
Parker's story was perfect he deserved someone who loved him completely without any doubts or obstacles in the way.

This book!!!! I loved it, I loved it so much!
The tension, the angst, the found family!! I was on the edge of my seat and feeling all of the emotions.
Parker Baylor, what an absolute angel, I love him and how fiercely he loved Kenra. I just love everything about this book!
There isn’t one character I don’t love (except Chase IYKYK)
The tension, the angst, the found family!! I was on the edge of my seat and feeling all of the emotions.
Parker Baylor, what an absolute angel, I love him and how fiercely he loved Kenra. I just love everything about this book!

Oh My!! I fell for Parker aka Hero in Complicated hearts and I am now totally gone for him now!
Megan will now be a definate must read from me for now on. Loved this book and had my emotions running all over the board for this one. This was Parker's story but still had a lot of the characters from the first book included in this one. I want to go on and on about this book but that would include tooo much and I want everyone to discover it for themselves, and I don't want to spoil anything either.
I can't wait for more from this author and hopefully more books from the other friends from this story.

Defenseless Hearts by Meagan Brandy is the second novel in the Tender Hearts series. I highly recommend reading Fumbled Hearts first to get some back story on these amazing and unforgettable characters. Plus you don't want to miss out on Lolli and her badassness!!
From the very first sentence in Defenseless Hearts, the author commands your attention and you won't be able to set this book down until the very last page.... unless, of course, it's to curse or vent and rage. In fact, I strongly encourage buddy reading! The author will set you on an emotional journey that will test you. You must have faith in Parker, our beloved Hero, and trust what he sees in his girl. She will make you want to scream and cry and you'll want to shake some sense into her! But stick with her! They will face extremely challenging circumstances, but everything happens for a reason!!
Back to Parker- he was everything I wanted him to be and more. He has jumped my list and is now one of my all time favorite Heroes. I simply adore him. He is loyal, patient, caring and wears his whole heart on his sleeve! You just can't help but love him. *Insert all the heart eyes and endless swooning*

If you read the first book Fumbled Hearts (which was glorious!) you know Parker "Hero" was the kind of book boyfriend worth waiting for. His heart was so sweet and pure.
And then Kenra happened.
I can't even with this heroine. I felt nothing for her and had zero sympathy when the whole damn story was driven from start to excrutiating finish on the premise SHE WAS DOING THE RIGHT THING FOR OTHERS.
Omg, save me from the modern day martyrs, please.
All she had to do was tell someone what was going on. That's it.
Instead she lead poor Parker on for years, all the while bouncing back ( and I'm presuming shagging ) the other guy.
It was so annoying I can honestly say I didn't enjoy any page of this book and I felt Parker deserved better than to be made to be the sap hero who waited and wanted someone who was taken.
The scenes with Kalani and Nate who I adored from book 1 should have been a respite, but there was even drama for them which was taken off the page!
Plus too many secondary characters. Like who are you again? I get that their stories are being put in place, but for me it was just too many.
I'll definitely stick with the series, I enjoy the author's style, just this "romance" story didn't work for me at all. I just feel bad for Hero. Maybe he needs a do-over. We can forget Kenra happened. Sorry, Hero, you have a gorgeous cover and I still love you to bits, but you don't get my stars :(

5+ stars!!!!
I am absolutely in love with Parker!! He is just delicious. Such an amazing friend, extremely selfless, and has such a giving heart. He really is everything you could want in a book boyfriend. Lolli's nickname for him of Hero could not suit him any more perfectly. I really could go on and on and on about Parker, because he's just amazing. If you don't like him, there is something wrong with you (just kidding....kind of).
And I'm more than happy with who he was paired up with in this series, as after reading Fumbled Hearts......I just knew who he was meant to be with. He may love Lolli (and I love the crap out of their friendship), but it wasn't that all-consuming love that he felt with the girl of his dreams.. She definitely made some decisions I didn't agree with, but I could understand why she did those things. Sometimes someone has to hit rock bottom in order to make the necessary changes.
This was such an incredible friends to lovers, slow burn romance......and yet again, I have another story that will be on my favorites of 2018 list! I'm hoping also that there will be more stories to tell in the Tender Hearts series, as I just love these characters and this world so much.

One hell of an angst ride.
Parker Baylor is swoon-worthy for sure. The man made my heart sing.
I didn't love let alone like Kenra at first. I mean the girl was hot and cold and hot and cold. Her behavior gave me whiplash.
Not everything was what I thought it would be with this story. The humor and easy going friendship was there. I got to see a side of Parker and Lolli (Kalani from Fumbled Hearts, if you haven't read that yet what...the...fuck...are...you waiting for?) their friendship was always just theirs, special, unexplainable, unique, true and honest.
This story was a series of ups and downs, lefts and rights. I couldn't get enough and even shed a tear here and there. Meagan Brandy is one excellent writer.
I hope to see more of the rest of the characters but most definitely more of Payton. I bet hers is gonna be one hell of a story.

When I discovered that Defenseless Hearts was going to be Parker's story I was super excited because my heart was captivated by this HERO in Fumbled Hearts. He is the kind of leading man that reader can't help but instantly connect with. His character is strong, confident, and oh so freaking sexy that no woman, real or fictional, could possibly resist him! Meagan Brandy sure knows how to write swoon-worthy leading men that will capture a reader whole body, heart and soul!
As much as I loved Lolli and Nate's emotionally captivating story in Fumbled Hearts, nothing could compare to Parker and Kenra's raw and beautifully emotional love story in Defenseless Hearts. Before I even try to form complete sentences to express my love for Defenseless Hearts, if you haven't read Fumbled Hearts:

2. Drop what you are reading and get to reading it, because you need to prepare yourself for Parker "Hero" Baylor
5 stars is just not enough. This book was a perfect combination of everything that will may you have all the feels. There is truly no real words that I feel can express how this book grabbed me from the very beginning. I wanted Parker's story after I read Fumbled Hearts and Meagan Brandy gave so much more that I ever expected. Now with that being said let me see if I can give this masterpiece a review that will do it justice.
Just like Brandy's first book I gave me characters that I loved like Parker, Nate Lollie, Kenra for starters. Then there are those characters that I just could push off a cliff into piranha infested waters, like Liv and Killian.
Parker is that guy that is the hero for everyone in his life. He didn't have an easy childhood and when he's finally able to breakaway he's finally able to live. But, there is that one somebody that he wishes would be there with him. The one girl that has owned his heart.
Kenra feels that she's trapped, and there is no way for her to find away out. For her she's living the way she needs to protect everyone that she loves. But, there is still hope for her.
This book is definitely one that is on the top of my favorites for the year. And I can't wait to see if we will be honored with getting another couples story (big hint hint for Brandy, I now want Ari's and Chases story). I only with that I could read this one for the first time again.

Parker has moved in with his best friend Lolli and is working towards being the CEO of her company. He is enjoying his life, but one thing is missing...her!
Kenra is engaged to be married. She is stuck in a situation with no way out. She knows she can't have what she wants, but she would do anything to make sure Parker and her family are protected.
Parker is the true definition of a best friend. He is honorable and trustworthy. He has always been a solid support system for all his friends no matter how many times they have hurt him.
Kenra is a shell of a person. She is just going through the motions until life is over.
The love and connection between these two characters is outstanding. They have always gravitated towards each other.
I was so amazed at the strength Kenra showed towards the end of the book. She overcame so much to get her HEA. She risked a lot and grew as a person.
I cannot say enough about this book. The story got better and better as time went on, and the ending was phenomenal. It was the perfect way to end Parker and Kenra's story.
I just hope Meagan decides to write books about the other secondary characters. I need to see Mason and Cameron get their HEA!

AMAZING JOB MEAGAN!!! One rollercoaster ride I'll never forget!
I devoured this book in one day! I read book one, so I already met a lot of the characters in the series. I have been anxiously awaiting Parker's story and it did not disappoint. The title and cover are so perfect for Parker and his leading lady, I don't even know where to begin.
Parker... Lolli's BFF, "Safety"... He had my heart gripped in a vice from the very beginning. I was cheering him on along the way as he fights for his HEA. It's not an easy road for him and so many twists and shocking surprises along the way you will think you've seen it all and then the next one hits you and you are left shocked/speechless (or yelling profanities).
Meagan has an amazing ability to bring you into the story, like you are right there with them. This amazing cast of characters in the series, even the ones that make you feel stabby, bring this amazing story to life. All of the emotions, laughter, tears... you feel connected to each and every one of them. There were some spots in the book that had me crying uncontrollably, screaming and yelling outloud, taking a minute to process and take it all in before reading on.
Parker has my vote for Best Book Boyfriend 2018. He'll be hard to beat.

I have never read a story with such a questionably sane, weak female...and the H, well I just don't know what to think of him...I liked Parker in book 1, but now, reading his story, boy, I don't know what to tell ya...this shit stinks...and badly...
Not only does he look naive and stupid...I just feel sorry for the guy...and I simply don't get it...LOL
Yeah, now I sound totally dumb to myself...my own words sound incredibly stupid to me while I try to make sense of this story...
It surprises me that smth like this would come out of this author's pen...
