Louise starts working in a fighting gym. It's a male-dominated environment and testosterone is high. Her day job is nursing (trauma). She is used to dealing with people.

Usalv is a heavyweight mixed martial arts champion. He's all alpha and a lone wolf. Louise is the first girl who has caught his attention in a long time, and she's a distraction he doesn't need, but that doesn't mean he can resist.

Usalv isn't used to not getting what he wants. Louise has a lot on her plate and wants to resist

Fighting Hearts: Hearts so fine by Annabeth Saryu

Who would’ve thought that a small series of honest mistakes would’ve led to a very enjoyable love story? First Coach Rodgers mistakes Louise as a male when he is looking for a teacher to hire at his gym. And then to make things interesting, Louise uses the wrong locker room where she meets our rugged but chivalrous hero, Usalv. And then our fun begins…
The scene where Louise and Usalv meet was very amusing though it must’ve been awkward and

First, I want to thank Annabeth Saryu for providing me with this book so I may bring you this review.

Fighting Hearts by Annabeth Saryu has one of the hottest covers that totally attracted me to the book itself. Kudos to the cover designer on this one. That cover made me want to read the book I admit.

If you are into sports and specifically MMA then this book will be for you. I myself am not into the sport but I went into reading it with an open mind. I preferred the romance aspect of the book

Wow...240 pounds/ 6'4 inches of pure muscular and sculpted MMA yumminess! Now add the fact that he's actually a nice guy, and we have the perfect hero, "Madman" Usalv. After all, he initially "rescues" our heroine Louise from a possibly humiliating exposure to the rest of his gym buddies. But she's no shrinking violet. A black belt herself, she gets a second job as a martial arts instructor at the gym where Usalv trains. Sparks are immediately apparent between the two. It doesn't hurt that ...more

Wonderful story

It's not often I read a romance, much less a romance about an MMA fighter, in which the hero is someone who's likeable. He's a nice guy, concerned about the women in his life, while at the same time being badass. Our heroine is tough, too, but a little on the neurotic side. I like that her best friend is a decent person, not an immature, reckless fool who'd make a better enemy. The heroine has a propensity to jump to conclusions and run off half-cocked. The hero has his own issues

This is really a great story, one of the main reason I feel that way is because it is just so realistic. I like that the author lets their story remain focused mostly on the characters, their struggles, their feelings and their insecurities, which we all face regardless of status or career. I actually read this in one seating and also really like that the "drama" part of the plot didn't consume their story but was more of a challenge or even an eye opener, very strong characters and very well ...more

Sweet MMA! Book one in the Hearts So Fine series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. Full length told in dual POV with HEA. Usalv and Louise pull you into their story. They both have hang ups from their past relationships and take things slow, but that doesn’t prevent some miscommunication / lack of communication. I enjoyed this book and would recommend!

Great story

Love the combination of MMA fighter and a nurse that also teaches at the gym where he trains. The trials that they go thru are what any couple could and do face and Saryu does a great job of yelling the story. Highly recommend this book.

Usalv and Lou threw punches at my heart. Their relationship was precious, dramatic and hot, with loads of twists and turns. I was rooting for them from the start. As a women in martial arts myself I can relate to the underestimation from male fighters Lou received when they found out she was the black belt trainer they'd heard of. It's great to see a heroine who can literally kick ass. Mike, Macy and Paul where great and I hope Mike gets his own HEA.
