Felicity Claire never expected her thirst for adventure and danger would lead her straight to the doors to Hell.
While New York Times journalist Felicity Claire works on breaking a big story about a viral weapon being manufactured by a pharmaceutical company, her plans get derailed when she’s assigned to interview the Devil himself.
Tired of Hell, the Devil has escaped his prison and come to Earth to revel in the pleasures of the light, eventually becoming somewhat of a feared celebrity.
When Lucifer turns the interview into a game of seduction, Felicity gets pulled into a world that blurs the lines between lust and love, between good and evil.
As passion, thrills and danger ménage in this story of revenge and redemption unfolds, can you resist the original bad boy?
By day, Tricia is a full time mom to two beautiful toddler girls and a wife/business partner to a handsome hard-working husband. By night--and nap times--she writes unique and thrilling young adult fantasies inspired by her vivid, somewhat creepy dreams and her own adventures around the world.
The fact that this book is so horribly written isn't even the worst part about it.
"He was telling her that he wouldn’t force himself on her. A small, dark part of her wished he would. Then she could have what her body was craving without taking any of the responsibility for it."
ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOT I understand this is fiction. But even putting that kind of idea out there for A FUCKING RAPIST TO FIND AND USE TO JUSTIFY THEIR BEHAVIOR?? That's fucking TERRIFYING. And there were MULTIPLE mentions of this. Until the love interest did in fact touch the mc without her consent. But because she 'enjoys' it, I guess we're supposed to let it go.
"And Alicia wasn’t the nicest person in the world. She had a sort of goth look to her, with straight black hair, dark make-up, and a hole in her right nostril where a piercing certainly went outside of work hours. She had an attitude to match her dark appearance."
yes of course find a reason to justify RAPE but let's VILLAINIZE GOTH PEOPLE right makes total fucking sense.
I completely understand that a book doesn't need to reflect an author's own beliefs. But again, even putting that idea out there is dangerous and highly insensitive. Not to mention there weren't even any trigger warnings.
*Received this book free for an honest review* I admit this book was a bit of a slow starter for me. But I kept reading and it soon found its pace. A creative and different take on the Devil, which I liked. There were a few typos, but they did not take away from the story for me. Characters were overall likeable (though Fey was a bit gullible a few times) and the story kept me invested enough to want to finish. Not a fan at first of the insta-lust (it is the Devil so what did I expect, right?) but I liked reveal of why they had such a connection that came later. It made up for it. Interesting story with some steamy moments.
Devilish is a fun read by Tricia Barr. This is not your typical paranormal read about the Devil but takes a completely new spin on it. Not often do you get to read about the Devil where he is not just the pure bad guy, but he is actually downright likeable in this book, well besides his playboy escapades that I am really not a fan for, but in some way you can't blame the guy considering where he was stuck for quite a long time! This book is not a religious book and has a serious sexual tone to it that does soften and turns into a more romantic one, which I did prefer I admit. The plot was very well developed and had a few nice twists in it, but I admit I did see the one big one coming a mile away, and no I won't say which one since I don't believe in spoilers so you have to read it for yourself. Even so I still really enjoyed the book a lot. The pace was right on the money which made this a pleasant read, not dragging out nor rushing the story line.
Felicity was a likable yet a bit naive character. She had her heart and intentions in the right spot so I fully forgive her for that. I did prefer Lucifer since even with his playboy tendencies, he did have more depth in my eyes, plus he went through more character development in this story.
All in all this was a very enjoyable read with some serious steam, a great underlying plot that kept you reading on and a rather unique romance that you won't read about every day!
Enthralling. Enticing. Impossible to put down. It's party time in the Big Apple because the Devil's back, hotter than ever, and ready to tell the real story of his fall from grace. He doesn't know it but he's looking for love and it's about to find him.

Dnf- I don’t normally give up on books but I just couldn’t read this. It may get better as the story progresses but I didn’t stick around to find out 😕
Devilish is a wildly inventive and irresistibly steamy paranormal romance that turns the ultimate temptation into a dangerously charismatic celebrity. This is a story that gleefully blurs the lines between sin and salvation, delivering a high stakes game of seduction you won’t want to put down.
The premise is instantly captivating: Lucifer, bored with his infernal kingdom, escapes to Earth to become a notorious, hedonistic celebrity. Barr’s take on the Devil is masterful charismatic, witty, and layered with a surprising complexity that makes him impossible to resist. He’s the perfect foil for Felicity Claire, an ambitious and fearless journalist who lives for breaking the next big story. Felicity is a fantastic heroine, intelligent, driven, and no one’s pawn, making her a worthy match for the Prince of Darkness himself.
What starts as a professional interview assignment quickly spirals into a deliciously tense cat and mouse game. Barr excels at building their electric chemistry, weaving a seductive narrative where every encounter is charged with danger and desire. The push and pull between Felicity’s journalistic integrity (and her own burgeoning investigation) and Lucifer’s mesmerizing allure creates a page turning tension that is both intellectual and deeply sensual.
The novel smartly balances its fiery romance with an engaging plot involving corporate espionage and a viral weapon, ensuring the story has stakes beyond the bedroom. The world building is clever, painting a modern Earth where the ultimate personification of evil walks among us, challenging our very definitions of good and evil.
Smart, seductive, and packed with dark charm, Devilish is a triumph for fans of paranormal and dark romance. If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if the Devil decided to be the ultimate celebrity bad boy, this addictive and clever novel is your answer. A devilishly good read!
...which are sorely lacking. Editing needs another go-round, and the main female character's primary emotion is horniness. Lucifer's a mind reading, paranormal, freakishly amazing sex god. (He's also her first partner, so, you know, perspective).
The pitch for this one probably went something like this:
Author: I want to write a book about an immortal sexing up a human. Publisher: Interesting start, what's the rest of the plot? Author: More sex. I don't want a plot getting in the way of the sex. Nothing plausible, anyway. Publisher: Porn does sell...
An example of the "OMG, Penthouse, I never thought it would happen to me" style of writing:
"Without warning, he pulled her shirt up and lifted it up over her head, then unhooked her bra with the snap of his fingers and pulled that off too. He gazed down at her bare breasts with the voyeuric fascination of one admiring an artistic masterpiece. Though she had never been this exposed to any man before, she didn’t feel bashful or ashamed at all. If anything she felt a sort of vain high, loving the way it felt to have a man be so clearly enamored with her physical beauty."
This was followed by him "gnawing" on her breast seductively (wait, what?) with teenage grammar sexting the next morning. 'I WANNA C U CUM ;)" (paraphrased, but not by much) seems low rent for the most ancient of angels, and where I decided to DNF at 28%.
Fae short for Felicity she works at New York Times newspaper and is given a assignment to get an interview with the devil himself Lucifer about how he has been misunderstood all these years. It was absolutely fascinating to me it starts out very harmless and ends with a definitely a punch this is definitely a great book! If you are really looking for something hot and steamy. I would highly recommend this book to anybody. A lot of foreplay!!! I was given this book for an honest review and I am telling you this is the best of the best of this year out of all the books I have gotten for free I would pay to listen to it her next book she’s that good of an author.
The author I have to say makes good decisions especially on the narrator. I wasn’t sure if I was OK with the navigator because she’s so quiet especially on the sample, but you would not believe how amazing she really is definitely I’ll be looking at her other books that she’s done.
Devilish (Heavenly Sinners #1) by Tricia Barr ~ Dark Fantasy with a Wicked Heart ~ Felicity Claire thought she was just chasing excitement… turns out she was chasing the Devil himself. What starts as curiosity quickly spirals into sin, temptation, and a world that blurs the line between Heaven’s lost and Hell’s redeemed. I loved the fast pace — there’s danger, heat, and just enough emotional pull to make you question who’s truly the villain. Lucifer isn’t just evil for evil’s sake; Tricia Barr gives him depth and reason, which made the story a whole lot more interesting than your average “bad-boy-Devil” trope. If you like stories where innocence collides with chaos and the heroine actually grows through fire instead of waiting to be rescued — this one’s for you. The ending hooked me hard and set the stage perfectly for Demonic. Bottom line: Devilish was sinfully good — and I was ready to follow Lucifer anywhere by the end.
Felicity is tasked with interviewing Lucifer and he isn’t going to let that happen without having some devilishly sexy fun times with her along the way. In the middle of trying to come to terms with her feelings for Lucifer, there is a virus that has the potential to wipe out mankind, and she wants to break the story on that as well. Unfortunately, an otherworldly creature has its agenda and Felicity has to make some huge decisions. Lucifer is sinful, gorgeous and he knows it. Being able to read all the dirty thoughts in your mind does nothing to lessen his ego either. These two make a scorching hot couple. I liked all the discoveries made throughout the story and finding out what or who each of the characters chose during the different tests. Though there is a sequel book, this one ends on a HEA note and you don’t have to read on to get that final satisfaction if you didn’t want to.

This book was a surprisingly good find! I had found it as an sponsored add on Facebook and obviously it intrigued me enough to give it a go. I’m generally pretty picky with books so I didn’t have much faith, but the writing style was beautiful as well as the plot and characters! The book flowed wonderfully and even though it was fast paced it was put together exceedingly well. I’m a sucker for bad boys paranormal or not and Lucifer definitely caught my eye! Even though there are parts I wish were a bit different due to my own personal tastes it was an excellent book and I look forward to more like it from the author!
So I couldn't find it in me to like this book. Lucifer keeps saying he wouldn't force anyone or hurt the innocent, but by using magic and people's dreams against them, he is doing something similar to date rape drugging her. If she feels so much from his magic she can no longer rationally say yes or no she's not in her right mind and it's rape. And the mention of her wishing he would rape her so she has an excuse to give in...too much. This title was too much rape seeming to enjoy and that saddens me because I enjoy other things by this author and PR in general.

Devilish is the first book in the Heavenly Sinners series. This book follows the story of Lucifer and Felicity. After reading the blurb for this book, I knew I had to read the whole book. I’m so glad I decided to read this one because the story is absolutely amazing. I could hardly set my kindle down before finishing the book. I absolutely love Felicity and Lucifer. I found Devilish to be suspenseful and a page-turning book. I thought the book to be perfectly written. I would most definitely recommend this book to other readers.

I got this book on Kindle Unlimited and figured I would get around to it eventually. A week later I started reading it and found myself finishing it in one day! Yep it was that good. The characters are interesting and Lucifer definitely gives a whole new twist to the devil. He is good looking, according to Fey a wonderful lover and in the end an all around good guy. But you have to read the book to find out the rest of the story. I only hope there will be another book or books to follow because the ending tells me there are more stories to write.
This book is about Lucifer escape hell and landing in New York and Felicity is the reporter sent to get the story form him. I must say the cover of the book reminds me of the actor who plays Lucifer on the TV show of the same name. So through ou the reading of this book I kept picturing him which made it so much more of an enjoyable read.

Devilish by Tricia Barr is an erotic paranormal romance and will be enjoyable to fans of the genre. The Devil as an anti-hero makes the basis of his myth tragic. A spin on the fallen angel's mythology kept me interested and engaged. In the love story, the Devil was appealing and highly seductive. Even with the issues I had, I found the book immersive and there existed astonishing chemistry between the characters.
If you enjoyed Lucifer on TV, then you will enjoy this story, as well. Felicity is given the opportunity of a lifetime to interview the Devil (since he escaped Hell), but she is also working on another story that could really make her career. Bring in other celestials, throw in a bit of redemption and get a new spin on Heaven and Hell. All in all, a fun read. * I was given an advanced copy for an honest [always] review *
Felicity is a journalist for the New York Times. She is working on a story involving Elektra Pharmaceuticals and also a secret story too. Her supervisor, Hathaway gives her another assignment, interview the Devil who crash landed in Central Park six months ago. What will the interview reveal? This fast paced, steamy, humorous, easy to read story grabs your attention.

Scoring an interview with Lucifer, the devil, himself is certainly one way for Felicity to get her recognised as a journalist. Lucifer thinks he’s just looking for a good time and an opportunity to tell the real story behind his fall from grace. Little does he realise he’s about to fall in a whole new way. Fun, flirty, steamy, a HEA and quirky twist thrown in for good measure.

This book was riveting, I could not put it down. Felicity wants to be a top journalist getting all the top stories. Her first story is to interview Lucifer who came to Earth for a vacation. This book gets five stars for its hotness and for the plot to destroy the world. You will not believe who the bad guy is and who does save the world. A great read.

Lots of plot twists and turns. I love that the bad guy ends up being so much more. I don’t want to spoil anything but expect action and a lot of smoking hotness when it comes to the devil. Add in a journalist who will do almost anything for her story and you will want a devil of your own. Just a great romantic story.
Lucifer escapes hell and lands in New York, Felicity a reporter who dreams of making it big is sent to get the exclusive on his story. Lucifer decides he wants to play a game in order for her to get the story. This is such a fun romantic suspense story full of lots of hot steamy scenes. I am glad I gave it a chance.
This book would have probably been 3 stars if it was just the romance side. The extra spice to this story was definitely the journalism involving a plague level virus being crafted by a private company for government use. That really added to this story.
I loved Devilish! exciting, fast paced and plenty of steam! A great story that kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved the ending. The characters were awesome, I loved Lucifer and Felicity. Looking forward to reading more of this Authors books.
I give Devilish 5 stars for its steamy goodness I would recommend this book to adult paranormal romance fans.
Well, this is both erotic and world shattering. Your whole concept of Lucifer, the Dark Angel, may well be put into question. The devil escapes hell, a young woman is asked to interview him for the New York Times. He seduces her, but then there's threats that they have to sort out to prevent a world apocalytic event. Great story!
Wow, this book was sexy and hot! When dealing with the Devil, I wouldn’t expect anything less. Unfortunately, I am not a fan of the ending to this story. It’s not a cliff hanger and it doesn’t really give closure. Even given this, this book is definitely worth reading.

Tricia Barr's Devilish is a refreshing, new take on an age old tale. It paints the devil in a whole new light. The storyline is fast-paced and well written, filled with adventure, suspense and sexual over tones. The characters are well developed and engaging. It is unique seeing the devil in a open, honest light. Overall, this is a good, humorous read that I would definitely recommended.
I enjoyed this story with Lucifer and a journalist names Felicity. It was an interesting take on the fallen angel theme with a suspense feel and a very steamy story. Felicity is working hard to get her big story and ends up working on 2 and falling for the super hot Lucifer. Entertaining and hot as expected around a hot fallen angel. Enjoyed the slight twist on who the bad guy really was.
