After being followed along the Thames by a mysterious man in black, Joshua is dragged to ancient Greece by the gods and set on a quest to meet his father in the Underworld - but to get there, he'll have to trust heroes and immortals to help him escape the clutches of evil! Redmond offers young readers a decent adventure into the past, full of mythological and historical references, but its lack of character and abrupt plotting will leave potential fans wanting. Will Josh use the gifts of the gods in time to find his father...before their enemies find him?

A nifty way of exposing Greek Legend to youngsters. Joshua needs all the gifts of the Gods to sustain his entrance into hell. (2.5*)
