I enjoyed spending a year with these characters in a lovely English village. It was my first read by Rachel Griffiths and I will look for more books by her.

The writing was simple, which was why I gave it four stars. But it was well done and in my life I need simpler reads now and then.

Thank you Rachel, for creating interesting and lovable characters. I look forward to more!
