So this is the second book about this supernatural police force that Sam is a part of. As the story begins Sam and her lover/partner Max are all set for a break away but get called in for one more case before they leave. Well obviously it doesn’t exactly go to plan meaning holiday plans are off and the monster hunting duo need to find a very valuable item that ironically has ties to Sam in more ways then one but my lips are sealed !
I found the idea of Sam being a demigod with Poseidon as her fat
In the debut for this series, Hunters’ Watch Brigade: Initiation, I was introduced to Samantha Silverton and her familiar Maximillion Ra. They were a quirky pair of monster hunters and an unlikely romance combination but their chemistry and fighting skills worked well together both on the field and off. In this book, Hunters’ Watch Brigade: The Game, Max has just graduated from the Hunters’ Watch Brigade basic training and both him and Sam had some scheduled R&R they were excited about taking. HWB: The Game is not your typical story—it’s a fascinating literary hybrid of mythological fantasy with strands of reality. Reading the book itself was a pleasant treat to yourself; A story you will surely love from beginning to end.

Hunter’s Watch Brigade: The Game is the second book of the HWB Series. The book is under the urban fantasy genre, with paranormal romance elements.

So, let’s slowly dissect the information in this novel. The characters somehow were many, they were obviously, pre

My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!!
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I got a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book! Love this series! I will be buying the whole series when I can!

The cover is beautiful and eye catching…at least to me it is!

This is the 2nd book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the steamy content and violence. I highly recommend reading the books in order, so you u

Hunters' Watch Brigade: The Game is the second book in the Hunters' Watch Brigade series, and we reunite with Sam, Max, Shade, Cyn, Helmina, Miss Daisy, Tex, and the rest of the crew. We start off in the thick of the action as Sam and Max try to stop a thieving wizard. It turns out he is just the start, as a game is being played that could have serious consequences. On top of that, Max is struggling. He only has six weeks from his shift to show his allegiance to Bast in the form of a vision ques ...more

The second book in the Hunters' Watch Brigade series, The Game is a really good read, the dynamic storyline and well developed characters makes this series a truly refreshing read. I am so glad I took the chance on Ms Millhouse and I will definitely be reading more of her books

Samantha "Sam", is a demi-god, a daughter of Poseidon. She is also a member of the Hunter's Watch Brigade, which is like supernatural cops. They keep people safe from paranormals who are intent on doing bad things. Sam is supposed to be on vacation with her boyfriend, Max, but their vacation is interrupted because of their highly-demanding jobs for the Hunter's Watch Brigade.

While taking out a recent baddie, Sam learns there is more afoot than they first expected. It seems her ex is involved an

Demigods, witches, vampires, and a sexy shifter
I loved this book. If you like action and romance, you need to read this book.
Sam is a tough agent who is determined to nail the wizard behind a cellphone game that puts the Supernatural community at risk. She goes toe to toe with the wizard and witches behind it. This time she doesn’t have her boyfriend at her back. Max is on a special mission of his own.
I loved how both Sam and Max grow in this story. I enjoyed the way they overcome their obstac

Samantha , a demi-god is a member of the Hunters Watch Brigade. They protect people including paranorms from evil. Vampires, demi -,gods, shifters and Gods are aware of what's going on. Some wizards and witches and other paranormal go bad especially when a prize is involved. Someone has decided that playing this game kind of like Pokemon would be fun but the prizes are so much more dangerous. Max is Sam's boyfriend who watches her back and is a child of Bast and cat shifter. The team get togethe ...more

Just like Initiation, book 1, The Game is a fun book filled with mythological creatures, action, and a bit of romance. I enjoyed all of the elements that the author wove together. Part witch and the daughter of Poseidon, Samantha is part of the Hunters’ Watch Brigade, a group of monster hunters who protect humans from the supernatural creatures who go rogue. Sam is sassy, independent, strong, and maybe a touch too stubborn. Sam has a penchant for killing first and then trying to ask questions, m ...more

Another excellent book from Millhouse! Max is still as strong but also more of a badass; she and her little sidekick are hilarious together. I love supernatural, but this goes above and beyond the average realm of supernatural. The Game picks up where The Initiation left.

This book will grab you from the first chapter and not let you go. You’ll try to put it down, but you won’t be able to stop reading. BTW, I used to want to be a mermaid but not anymore!

This is the second book in the Hunters' Watch Brigade series. I haven't read the first book yet but this works well as a stand alone. i enjoyed the story quite a bit even though some of the actions of the characters were a bit off. The premise is that there are a group of supernatural beings, the Hunters' Watch Brigade, that are taxed with policing other supernaturals who are up to no good. Demigod Sam and her guardian protector Max are on their way to take some vacation time when they are taske ...more

DNF. Obviously this book was not for me. I found the dialog and interactions a bit sophomoric. 5 chapters in, I gave up.
