My name is Dirk and I am a single father and a billionaire. My business associate has been pushing me to date since my wife died. So I made up a girlfriend... Which quickly backfires when we are invited on a trip. To save face, I hire an escort, Marissa. I quickly want her to be my real girlfriend but I am just a job to her. Game on.
Note: All books in the Billionaire series are standalone, full length billionaire romance novels. They can be read in any order and do NOT contain cliffhangers. Each includes lots of steamy scenes and a HEA guaranteed.
The writing is mediocre at best, and the plot is both dull and nonsensical. Most of the adults behave inconsistently, as if the author just needed a reason to move the plot along. The 3-year-old is completely unrealistic, even for a super-genius. I really don't know why I stuck around to finish the book.
Dirk is learning to live again after a devastating loss. His wife's death left him twisting in the wind. With a heavy heart and beautiful reminder of what he once had, Dirk is determined to become the best dad for his wonder little girl, while testing the waters of love again. Desperation gives him that opportunity. All he has to do is convince the woman of his dreams that they can have a future. Billionaire Single Dad is a seductive samba of tainted love and new beginnings. A tale of risque meets wonderful.
Loved this story. Once started could not put down. The story line excellent. I got so into the characters that I could actually see them and experience their ups and downs. I would highly recommend this lovely story.
First off I love Claire Adams' flair of writing and will automatically one click her books wether I receive an ARC or not. Whether she is writing a story about a billionaire alpha single dad or a single billionaire alpha they fall just as hard for that one woman Claire has created for them. Dirk and Marissa's story is powerful eye opening for all characters. Dirk is widowed with an adorable and smart three year old daughter, Josie, and still grieving. With his friends pressuring him to move forward and start dating Dirk puts himself in an impossible situation by fabricating a girlfriend to get them to leave him alone and give him some peace. Now with the invitation to California for a month for a business/vacation trip, oh and bring your girlfriend, Dirk does the unthinkable and hires an escort for the past. Marissa is working as a high class escort to pay for college to earn her degree in child physiology but she has one strict rule of no sex. When Dirk and Marissa meet there is an undeniable attraction on both parts but this is just a contract between employer and employee. The bond formed between Marissa and Josie is so touching Dirk has trouble remembering the expiration date on the contract. Dirk's "friends" are shallow and pretentious snobs but Stan was there for Dirk when he lost his wife so he turns a blind eye to them. As Dirk, Josie and Marissa continue to grow closer it's hard to remember this is just pretend. While trying to avoid the tension with being around Stan and his wife, they meet their neighbors and become fast friends with the gay couple John and Sammy. Dirk has finally had enough of Stan and his wife's unfriendly ways and servers ties with them only to have his fake relationship outed in an ugly and painful way the Stan's wife. When Sammy, Marissa and Josie witness the blow up and Dirk freezes without defending Marissa the only thing to do for Marissa is get out as soon as possible. Dirk realizes his mistake too late and now with the realization he's fallen in love with Marissa, she's gone. The pain is different from losing his wife but just as strong and watching his daughter suffer the loss is too much for Dirk to handle. Time is closing in on the move to California and Dirk and Josie need closure in order to move forward. Will Dirk convince Marissa of his true feelings for her and move to California with them or will he just get the closure to try and move on without her in their life??? An absolutely must read that will hook you on Claire Adams if you haven't read her stories before, plus you'll get bonus stores to further you addiction to her with. A beautiful happily ever after and an adorable three year old that will live in your heart and mind past the last page.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book Thank you Claire Adams and Savannah May and Bad Boy Update!!!

Hmmm… So having read and enjoyed this novel, I find myself almost at a loss to sort out my feelings on this one. It’s very well written, with nicely developed characters. The storyline strikes me more like a sweet romance, but the heat level between the lovers definitely puts this in the steamy romance category. Then there are those interesting characters: Marissa, the escort paying her way through school to be a child psychologist, and Dirk, the rich widowed dad who needs someone to act as his girlfriend for an upcoming trip.
Maybe what I’m having trouble reconciling is the fact that the more we get to know Dirk, the more we realize he isn’t perfect. Don’t get me wrong. Dirk is smart, driven, handsome, generous, and best of all he’s an awesome dad. But for someone who’s got so much going for him he sure spends a fair amount of time with his head firmly lodged in a rather impossible portion of his anatomy. When it comes to the beautiful, intelligent, and loving Marissa he seems to either send mixed messages or clam up entirely—not exactly natural billionaire CEO behavior. While I find all this a little bit confusing, it’s also refreshing that our “hero” isn’t total perfection. It certainly makes him more human, and let’s not forget, he’s still got plenty of hunk-ability qualities going on.
This heart-warming story can be shared with your co-workers: it’s got great chemistry between Dirk and Marissa, with some steamy heat happening along with occasional mature language. It’s a well-rounded story with emotional highs and lows, lots of heart, great friends, good villains, and an adorable, brilliant girl named Josie who really keeps things interesting.
Dirk is a billionaire and a single father. HIs wife died 2 years ago and he still isn't ready to move on. So when his friends start pestering him about it he makes up a dating life but when they invite him on a getaway with his new woman he panics. Marissa works as an escort however she doesn't have sex with clients. She does this work so she can pay for her schooling. When her boss told her that she had a special case client she never thought it would be the one to change her life. Dirk, Marissa and Josie click right from the start and its makes the trip that much easier. Everything is going fine unless they are with Dirk friends who are very negative and they didn't want him bringing his daughter along and makes no bones about saying so. As the days pass the three of them bond way beyond what they had planned it the lines were getting blurred but what would happened if someone was to learn the truth about Marissa? Will a reality check be very revealing about their relationship or will it make them stronger?
This was a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Marissa and Dirk was a slow burning fire. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover. I can't wait to read more by this author in the future.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book. I enjoyed it so much I bought my own copy.
Dirk lost his wife Amelia two and a half years ago, leaving him with his one year old daughter named Josie. When his buddy sta n invites him on a month long vacation in California Dirk lies and says he has a girlfriend. Dirk is lying so than his friends will stay off his back about dating. So what does he do calls an escort named Marissa to play as his girlfriend. Her only rule is no sex they can hold hands and miss for show but nothing more. Can Dirk an Marissa keep it secret? Great read couldn't put down till finished. This book includes six extra books. The first extra book is called Sleeping with my boss with Asher and Lilah. The second extra book is called Executive with Noah and Jess. The third extra book is called Rockstar Billionaire with Owen and Nalia. The fourth extra book is called Cowboy Boss with Pete and Emma. The fifth extra book is called Investigated Billionaire with Brandon and Delilah. The last extra book is called Professor's Virgin with Chance and Natalie.
Holy hot dad! Dirk is a single dad who can't move on after the death of his wife. To keep is friends off his back he makes up a girlfriend. That works for a few months until he is asked to go away for a month, with the girlfriend! He panics and hires an escort to play the part. Marissa is trying to pay for school by being an escort - for dates only, no hanky panky ever. The last thing she expects is to bond with his daughter and begin to have feelings for Dirk. They keep the charade up for a few weeks, and become close in during that time. It's scary for the both to think this month can be more, that they can actually be in love. It takes the bitchy friends wife to blow the whistle and the ensuing media disaster that follows for them to finally admit their true feelings. This is a fabulous read with a HEA that will leave your heart happy!!
All of Claire Adams' books are fantastic but this one is my very favorite so far! I hate the way Dirk's business associates hound him to get laid to get over his wife's death. It's great that he wants to go with his friends on vacation to California and take his super-smart toddler for new experiences. Too bad he felt cornered into hiring an escot, Marisa, as a fake girl friend. Always love stories that have kids; what fun to watch Marisa and Josie play, teach and learn and fall in love. And watch Dirk become more and more taken with Marisa and the way she seems to just understand him. I cried through a third of this book as it all came tumbling down. Surely these three can come to a happy ending!
Another great book by Claire Adams. You'll love the story of Dirk and Melissa. Dirk's a billionaire widower with a baby and has no interest in anything other than work and his baby. When a little fib about having a girlfriend backfires, he is forced to find one to take on a trip with his friend. He had no idea that when he hired an escort that she would steal his heart. Now his only problem was to make her feel the same way. Well written with likeable characters and an engaging story. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review. You'll love the HEA and no cliffhanger.
DIRK, Marissa and Josie are the perfect family...even if it doesn’t start that way. The three of them connect immediately and there’s a chemistry brewing behind each encounter between dirk and Marissa. Little Josie is just to cute and smart! When the “friends” he’s meeting are introduced, you could feel the animosity between them all grow each day. There’s so many great things happening for them, you don’t want to see it all blow up, but you know it’s coming. When it does, holy cow! Talk about fireworks!
I cannot wait to see what Claire has in store next! I’m voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
After the death of his wife, Dirk struggles with the thought of moving on. Marissa has put herself through college by being an escort. He needs a pretend girlfriend, neither expected feelings to become involved. Will Dirk find the missing piece to his family? Will Marissa get her happy ever after?
I loved the fact that Dirk wasn't a playboy. Dirk and his daughter definitely played a vital part in my love for this story. I loved how eventually he had enough and decided to put his foot down. Loved Marissa's character and how strong she was, but she was so soft towards Dirk and Josie. Absolutely loved Josie's character. Great read!

Dirk is a single father to little Josie, and paint himself into a corner, needing a promised "girlfriend". What is a single and successful man to do except turn to an escort service. That is not normally the right move, but Marissa is wonderful to Dirk and protective of Josie. This fake relationship starts to blur the lines as emotions come in to play, and Marissa, Dirk and Josie are all the better for it. A very charming read that I find highly enjoyable. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.
Excellent contemporary billionaire, single dad romance. The main characters of Dirk, Marissa and Josie are awesome come to life throughout the story. The blurb tells readers the story line but not about the depth of sympathy, understanding and love that come in many modes. I enjoyed the way the story developed and the many secondary characters especially Sammy and John. Definitely well worth reading. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Adams.
Claire Adams does it again giving the reader a romance that starts as an arrangement between a widower, Dirk and an escorts, Marissa. As these two play boyfriend/girlfriend during a month long trip to California, their relationship grows to something neither was expecting. What happens when the wife of a colleague of Dirk publicly announces their secret? Will Dirk be able to convince Marissa of his true feelings? You'll fall in love with Dierks three year old daughter Josie. I was given this book for an honest voluntary review.
What an amazing read! My goodness, Claire Adams has gifted us with an exceptional storyline that grabs you from page 1 and doesn’t let you go until the very end. This story has so much angst, emotion, and ultimately love...it stays with you long after the story ends. It’s crazy good! Definitely grab your copy today—you’ll be so glad you did. (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and loved it!) ❤️
This story broke my heart. Dirk and his daughter Josie were all each other had. He lost his wife 2 yrs ago and hasn't moved on. But after being pressured to head out of town by friends, he hires Marissa to act as his girlfriend. They just never counted on falling for each other. As always Claire Adam's writes great characters with depth and passion. I loved every turn of the page. I grabbed this book on KU.
Another great read by Claire Adams. Dirk is a billionaire widower who is raising his daughter Jolie. Marissa is an escort who Dirk hires to fake a relationship. The chemistry between these two bloom and the love Marissa feels for Jolie is amazing. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Such an awesome story I love books about single dads loved Dirk and Marissa and his little girl didn't like his so called friends I read it straight through captured my interest from the start a five star story. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Dirk and Marissa have amazing chemistry considering their relationship starts off as a sham. Their story is emotional and sweet mixed with lots of passion. A highly recommended read. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.
An amazing book. Extremely Entertaining, captivating and interesting sexy read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author. I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
A sweet romance about finding love where you least expect it. Marissa and Dirk are perfect for each other. Add in his daughter Josie and live is perfect.. Or is it??? You'll have to read the book to find out. Enjoy
Take one widower who needs a date for a month, add one precious kid, and go mix with a beautiful escort who has a strict no sex rule. Put them in a sunny California resort, add a nasty "friend" and watch the fun begin.
I absolutely loved this book! Such a sweet story with a great HEA! I loved the writing style and the story line. It had some steamy sex scenes and some ahhhh moments but defiantly a must read!
