CRIME AND PUNISHMENT is a comprehensive and powerful presentation of the scope and history of the American Criminal Justice System. The text demonstrates that the criminal justice system did not develop in a vacuum and shows students how history affects public policy in criminal justice today. This text looks both at the history of the system, the impact and relationships that it has had on our system over time, and the current issues being dealt with today.
