I’m the guy you call when you need to impress your overbearing family, your boss, or your ex. Yeah, I’m a male escort, but not just any escort, I’m the escort. The one with a mile-long waiting list and a pristine reputation that’s very well-deserved.

Nic Evans is one of Chicago’s most sought after male-escorts. His clientele ranges from recently divorced women looking for some good old “no strings attached” fun and an elderly woman who wants him to pretend to be her grandson so she can show him off to all her stuffy socialite friends. Nic has been in the business for the past six years and has done really well for himself. He hasn’t had time for a serious relationship nor has anyone ever piqued his interest…until he gets hired by a woman to be her best friend’s date to her wedding. She tells him that he has to pretend to be an old college friend who recently moved to Chicago because her friend must never know he’s a male escort.

Elle has recently been dumped by her boyfriend who quickly found a replacement, and unfortunately, he’s going to her brother’s upcoming wedding. But Elle’s best friend, Christine, has hooked her up with an old college buddy who turns out to be stunningly handsome. Elle is instantly drawn to Nic, not only for his looks but he turns out to be charming and sweet.

Nic is in serious trouble because for the first time he’s deeply attracted to a client and her friend has made it clear that Elle is off limits to him. Nic knows that once Elle learns the truth about him that there’s no way she’ll want to be with him, but two nights is not enough for both of them. They end up seeing each other after the wedding and unbeknownst to Elle, for the first time Nic is trying to woo a woman for real. He tries hard to go slow and to date Elle properly, but the passion that has been building between them will be simply impossible to ignore.

Will Nic be able to hold on to the woman he loves once his secret is revealed?

Boyfriend for Hire was not the type of romance I was expecting. Honestly, escort type books are hit or miss for me. I’m picky about them. I wasn’t sure which way this would go, but it ended up being a sweet and fun read that I really enjoyed!

Nic Evans gets hired for a job that is a little out of the ordinary for him. He’s escorting Elle to her best friend’s wedding. That part isn’t so unusual. The unusual part is how the escorting happened. Little does Elle know Nic was hired to be her escort. She though her bestie Christine was setting her up on a date with an old college friend.

Nic was only supposed to be her date for the night, that was the rule, what he was paid for. But sparks fly between these two and they end up seeing each other more and more after the wedding. Elle starts to fall for him, and Nic falls for her as well. So much so that he doesn’t want to do his job anymore. The problem is that big secret he’s hiding… and he’s terrified to tell it to Elle.

I listened to the audio book of this one, as I do pretty much all of Kendall Ryan’s. I love dual narration and Jason Clarke and Erin Mallon did a wonderful job, as always. After listening to the sneak peek for Case’s book… I can’t wait for more! Another short, steamy, and sweet read by Kendall Ryan!

Holy Hell!

Auto pilot writing at its best. It feels like a computer spat this one out. None dimensional characters with boring situations in a boring world. All the 5 stars reviewers must have slept walk through this or been paid!

This was BORING!!!! No offense but...REALLY? I dont want to be rude or insult the hard work and hours one puts into crafting stories that leave us swooning. But... no offense Kendall, this was plastic. I sometimes wonder if popular writers hire other writers to keep them in circulation.

NO NOOO NOOOO!!!
The H had a sex scene with ow on the first few pages. He was fully hard, made the ow came twice, and let her gave the blowjob for him that HE ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH.

I think it just ruined everything. Why Kendall needed to put that scene on the first chapter? The first chapter is IMPORTANT. It is like the reader will make a decision to continue reading or just stop.

Maybe for some people the scene won't bother you too much, but not for me. I don't want to compare that scene when the hero finally has sex with heroine! GAH!

I really wanted to love this book especially after I waited for so long. It's the first book of Kendall that I actually hate before I can finish the book.

Update 19.02.19

After reading a review with safety spoilers (that's what I waited for) I'm definitely not reading this book.

Over and out.
-----
Is there a possibility that the Hero (male escort) never has sex with all the women he meets? That he just spends time with them without being intimate? Because if that's not the case, then I don't know why this book got so many 5 stars!

6 years being an escort (as his work) is a really long time. Let's say he meets 2 women each week (that's generous) and "escorts" them. That makes 624 women in 6 years. I just find it really unromantic, if that's the case. We'll see...

I honestly love the male escort trope and that was my favorite part of this book. I think it's the fact that the heroes with this trope are always super charming and know how to treat women that makes it such a fun trope. The beginning of this book was super fun and I was very intrigued by Nic. I just wish there was a little more development in this book because the end sorta left me wanting more. The author would do this thing where she would state something along the lines of "the conversation flowed easily", which just left me wanting to see that conversation. Overall, the beginning of this book was super fun, but I just wanted more. I will definitely be reading the next book in this series because Case seems super interesting!

I went ahead, and read this book. I am not familiar with this author, but I saw her comment on another post about the hero since I prob would have passed bc its just too icky to me that he is an escort. I dont like "manwhore" type heros, but I do appreciate if an author chooses to delve deeper into that lifestyle as a problem, rather than have him revel in it, so I decided to see what kind of introspection the book had in it.

Nic has been an escort for six years, he makes a lot of money, he likes it, but he knows this isn't what he wants do for the rest of his life. He doesn't sleep with every woman he does a job for, but a lot of them he does. Elle has been recently dumped (her ex is an ass), and so her sister-in-law to be hired Nic to escort her to the wedding, no sex, just take her, make her feel great for two days, then walk away. She will never know he was paid. They end up connecting, and thus begins his battle to want to keep seeing her.

The book itself is written fine, it's a little too insta-everything for me, but I think that's the authors writing style, and I know a lot of people like that. They fall fast, and everything gets resolved fast, so it left me a little wanting in that area. I think Elle had a right to be madder than she was allowed in the book, but the nature of the book isnt to have angst, it's to have everything simple and resolved with a cherry on top, which is fine if that's your preference. I like a little more depth.

Safety Info

All on all, if you are looking for a quick light read, and can handle the details under the spoiler cut then you will prob enjoy this book. I felt it was done moderately well given the subject matter. Just not enough depth to really reel me in.

A sexy and sweet romantic treat from the queen of SWOONY ROMANCE! 𝐁𝐨𝐲𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐇𝐢𝐫𝐞 by Kendall Ryan hit all the right spots! It made me laugh, made me swoon, made me blush and more importantly…it left me with a craving for more of her words! Be prepared to fall quick and fall hard for Nic and Elle. Their chemistry and banter lit up every single page, and I couldn’t turn them fast enough. This book, this author, these characters…they all helped me to remember exactly why I fell in love with the genre in the first place. Happily ever afters are Ms. Ryan’s specialty and she delivered 100% with Nic and Elle’s story!

I liked this but didn’t love it. It was a short and sexy read that had any interesting plot but nothing about it was super amazing or life-changing for me. It was fun, but I didn’t take much out of it.

Boyfriend for hire is the first book in the Escorts, Inc series by Kendall Ryan. It is Nic and Elle’s story. Nic is an escort. He is hired by Elle’s best friend and future sister in law Christine to accompany her to her wedding to Elle’s brother. Elle’s jerk of an ex was going to be there with his new girlfriend. They both got more than they bargained for, but can Elle forgive and trust him when she finds out the truth?...

My thoughts:

I liked the authors writing style and enjoyed both characters!

It was so short there isn’t much to say: Needed a little more meat and potatoes!! My only other drawback to this book was I thought it was UNREALISTIC how accepting Elle was upon learning the truth!!

Overall...although short on substance but ...if you are looking for a fun, fast, and cute read...this book is a great fit!

This book is nothing life changing nor is it overly dramatic but if you are looking for a book with a mild amount of angst that is a sweet fun read then this is your book.

Nic Evans is one of The Windy City’s most wanted male-escorts. He entertains a wide range of women and many on a regular bases. My favorite client of his is an older woman who just wants him to pretend to be her grandson and to eat dinner at her country club each week.

Elle’s brother is getting married to her best friend Christine. Unfortunately Elle and her boyfriend of 2 years just split up. The Ex is an idiot and is still coming to her brother’s wedding with his new girlfriend. Christine, being a good friend, decides that Elle needs a date for the wedding & sets her up with an old college buddy. The attraction with these two is instant and strong.

Nic has strong rules in his line of work…….no kissing on the mouth and no go down on someone. Those things he is saving in hopes he will someday find someone special.

**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title in exchange for an honest review**

I rarely run into a Kendall Ryan book that doesn't hook me in immediately and Boyfriend for Hire was no exception. While you may wonder how the author will make it work by having the hero be a male escort, just trust her, she knows what she's doing!

Elle has just gone through a really tough breakup and unfortunately she's going to have to see the ex and his new girlfriend at her brother's wedding. With her ex being a good friend of her brother, there was no way around his being there. In an attempt to help her out, Elle's friend comes up with the idea to set her up with a male escort. Elle thinks she's just going on a blind date with her friend's old college friend.

Nic is one of, if not the, most sought after male escort in Chicago. His clients range from recently divorced women to an elderly woman who treats him more as a grandson than anything else. While he's been in the business for six years, he never expected to last that long. It was intended to be a short term deal, but he found he was good at it and it was lucrative. When he's hired to be Elle's blind date for the wedding, he expects it to be a fairly straightforward outing. What he doesn't expect are the sparks that fly between he and Elle from the moment they lay eyes on one another.

As Nic gets to know Elle, he finds that for the first time in a very long time, he's attracted to her on an entirely different level and he's beginning to question whether he can stay in his line of work. He tries to stay away from Elle, but that proves to be futile. The two are drawn together like magnets. When Elle finds out about his real occupation, will she be able to forgive him?

This book was full of humor, heart and emotion. You could really feel the connection between Nic and Elle and you could also feel the despair they were both feeling at times throughout the book. Kendall Ryan has once again given us a fantastic love story!

Boyfriend for Hire was entirely sexy, funny and utterly swoony! I actually missed the light and fluffy, yet sizzling romances we get from Kendall Ryan!

“You showed me that sex is more than just a transaction. You showed me what love felt like and it’s been missing from my life for so long.”

Nic was undoubtedly the star of this book for me. He’s just the melt-your-panties kind of character you’d long for in a dreamy book boyfriend. I mean, I’ve read my fair share of romance novels with heroes who were male escorts, and I’d say Nic did his role justice. And no—there was not an ounce of cheating involved at all. Because when he realized that Elle was the one for him? When he became a wreck over her, lost his wits and could no longer stomach going back to work and be with other women other than Elle? My heart wasn’t able to help but just go all pitter-patter.

“It was you, Elle. You made me want to break all my rules. Only you.”

Nic and Elle’s relationship might’ve not started off in the most conventional of ways, but their chemistry was off the charts hot and so instantaneous, you’ll end up wishing for the other shoe not to drop anymore so that they can stay in their own little bubble of love and lust forever. Although, it only gets better and even more fervid as their story goes on.

Now I’m all too eager to find out how Case’s tale will go and get to know more about his lucky lady! I hear it’s going to be his best friend’s little sister...

Gah! Kendall Ryan's stories are always pure kindle crack for me. They are always full of sass, sexiness and all the swoons. Nic and Elle were absolutely fantastic. Their story was funny, romantic and full of the fiery chemistry Ryan's novels are known for! This was amazing!

The minute I read the blurb I was very intrigued. I wanted to see how Ryan would put her patented spin on a male escort story and she honestly didn't disappoint. When Elle's future sister-in-law hires Nic to  be Elle's "blind date" for her wedding, Nic never thought it would become complicated. But when he meets Elle, his socks are knocked off and then some. They have a strong connection and feelings develop. But will Nic and Elle have something real after she finds out about his secret life and the very "fake" way they started?

I thought this story was so damn amazing. Ryan is able to showcase the very real feelings Nic has for Elle, despite starting off as a "hired" date. I felt the chemistry between them in spades and the genuine connection they had. I especially loved that she was the gamechanger for him!! Overall, this story was fun, emotional, had heart and sizzling chemistry! This is another Kendall Ryan win! Bravo! 5 stars! ~Ratula

Original review on Julalicious Book Paradise

I was quite happy to start a new book from Kendall Ryan. I always find myself following her stories like an addict.

Elle is definitely the kind of character that you can easily identify with with all of her body insecurities; I know for one that I could totally relate to her. But more than that, you can see that her meeting with Nic, you can see her gaining more of the confidence she lacked before.

Nic is a refreshing kind of guy to be honest. His job may not be conventional and most people would believe that he doesn’t think about having a steady relationship but that is not Nic’s case. He’s hoping that one day he will find the right kind of girl that would make him weak in the knees and willing to leave this job for her and even puts restrictions to his job to ensure that it’s all going to go to the right woman.

Nic loves his job, but upon meeting Elle, everything changes. Though she is unaware of Nic’s true job or how he came to be into her life, both of them are attracted to one another and though Nic shouldn’t pursue her; he can’t help it and Elle is ready to do about anything to show Nic what she wants of him.

I felt like this book was a lot about how each of them helped one another gain something that they needed; like they pushed themselves out of their comfort zones.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book. It was quick paced and quite entertaining.

I was giving an advanced copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

OMG! This book was so sweet, romantic and an absolute delight to read! I smiled. I laughed. I cried. Boyfriend For Hire left me with all of the feels. This was only my first read by Kendall Ryan, but if they all make me feel this way, she may have found herself a new fan.

Elle has just gone through a nasty breakup only days away from her brother's wedding. What's worse is her ex is her brother's best friend, so he will be there along with his new girlfriend. The bride (Elle's BFF) decides to hire a male escort to pose as Elle's blind date. The story she's given is that Nic is an old friend from college that recently moved back to town.

Nic has found success as a male escort for the past six years. Posing as Elle's blind date should be a piece of cake or so he thought. When the two of them meet, there is an immediate connection. The sparks begin to fly, feelings soon develop and all of the rules are soon forgotten. Falling for Elle was not part of the plan. Neither was her finding out the truth from someone other than him. Now Elle must make a decision. Will she forgive Nic and give him another shot?

I thought this story was absolutely amazing and very well written. If you're looking for something super sexy, passionate and completely addicting, then look no further. Boyfriend For Hire is all of that and so much more. It's one that I would definitely recommend to all.

Boyfriend for Hire by Kendall Ryan is a well written, sweet, fun and romantic read and I loved it.

Going in I was a little apprehensive about the blurb, but silly me, I should have trusted that author Kendall Ryan would write a beautiful romance about two people finding love, being able to trust their hearts and to love each other unconditionally.

Nic and Elle are likable, relatable characters that I easily connected with. They have amazing chemistry and I loved watching them fall in love.

I was unsure on what to rate this one, but in the end this falls somewhere between 2 and not quite 2.5 stars.

Overall, it just fell flat.

I didn't have any issues with the main character being a male escort - I actually find books with well-written sex work rep to be interesting. Unfortunately, this story didn't really make it into "well-written" category.

Now, just a heads-up in terms of some content warnings:

So what exactly didn't work for me in this book? Well, after the dust of happy ending has settled, not much about the plot made any sense, that's what. For example:

* Elle's friend Christina hires Nic to be Elle's escort (but sans sex) for Christina's and Elle's brother's wedding - Elle doesn't know that he's an escort and Nic's introduced as Christina's college friend - when they hit it off too much in Christina's opinion, she starts warning Elle off Nic and tells Nic to stay away - but if she doesn't want her friend dating him, why not just tell her the truth and I DON'T KNOW, let her decide for herself??? But nope, Christina takes weeks to finally admit what she's done

* Elle's evil ex has just dumped her and is invited to the wedding because he's a very good friend of the groom (Elle's brother) - at the rehearsal dinner, he throws some very gross fat-shaming Elle's way, not to mention shows up with some one else. How is Elle's brother, allegedly not a jerk, friends with this guy?

* It's mentioned that Nic never went to college and that his family didn't have much when he was growing up. He lives in a penthouse (or sth close to it, can't remember exactly) and drives a Tesla - how are his parents not asking what he's doing for living?

* When Elle finds out the truth from Christina, she's understandably upset that she's been lied to for like a month or so but then when Nic shows up to talk, she forgives him in like 3 seconds.

*Also, the fact that they had unprotected sex without any talk about them being clean is apparently a non-issue. I just find that totally unbelievable, especially given that one of Elle's first thoughts when she finds out about Nic's profession is a very judgemental "disgusting". And judgy or not, it's not realistic, to be honest?

Apart from this, while I thought they had a good chemistry, Nic and Elle's connection falls a little flat? It's insta-lovey and quite superficial. And while I liked Nic as a character, who was a sweet, caring and kind guy overall, I thought his behaviour towards Elle was not OK. He should be honest about the way they met at least before they had sex. All in all, not much about both Nic and Elle's behaviour was consistent. When I arrived at their happy ending, I was basically scratching my head and wondering: "How did they get there?".

So to sum up, this was not the best attempt at escort/sex work trope. The story was cute and enjoyable at times and did leave me curious about the other characters and their stories, but was also inconsistent and rushed.

Ryan takes the cake for fabulous rom-com stories and easy light reading. This story will put your faith back in love and give you the confidence boost every woman needs.

When Elle is dumped just weeks out from her brother’s wedding, the bride (BFF) decides the best way for her new sister in law to enjoy herself while facing the ex and his new girlfriend is to find a male escort; without her knowledge. This should be an easy job for Nic has been a escort for years but when sparks start to fly all his rules go out the window. Falling for the girl wasn’t part of the plan, neither was her finding out from someone else about his occupation. Elle has a choice to make, take a chance and forgive Nic or cut her losses.

I personally really enjoyed this story, it was charming and very well written; Ryan did not disappoint with this one. Sitting down and reading this story in 1 sitting says it all, I just couldn’t put it down and all adulting was put on hold until I read the last line. I am looking forward to Case’s story next in The Hookup Handbook, please don’t make me wait too long!

Boyfriend for Hire by Kendall Ryan was such a fun read!!! I tell ya, I felt the movie The Wedding Date vibe and I soooo loved that movie. Every time it comes on, I am watching it. Soo I am feeling I will be reading this book again and again in the future cuz it is one of those feel good, fun banter and such a HAWT HAWT read!!!

Unbeknownst to her, Elle's best friend-Christine sets her up with a date for Christine's wedding. Elle had been through a rough breakup with her ex, which he is coming to the wedding as well cuz he has been really good friends with groom since childhood. Sooo Christine wants Elle to have a nice time and show the ex she has moved on as well and you know, rub it in his face...lol The best revenge....right???? The only thing is, Christine "the bestie" leaves one small itty bitty detail out of the equation...lol The date she hooks Elle up with is a Male Escort. But what harm could there be? It's just one date....right???

Welll your just going to have to pick up Boyfriend for Hire and find out for yourself.. Eeeep I can not wait for y'all to read...it's sooo good!!!

5 "Gahhh isn't this cover sooo cute" Stars!!!! It's perfect for this fun and sexy read!!!

Obsessed with Nic!!!!

We have Nic, sexy male escort who knows exactly what to say to make a girl feel good & just how to pleasure a woman (😉👌🏻).
& Elle, recently single, self conscious, and playing it safe in life.
When these two collide its pure fire! I absolutely loved reading their first few scenes meeting and getting to know each other. Watching a man stick up for a woman, making her feel good about herself, and worshipping her... that gets a girl hooked in a book if you ask me!!!

I love the tiny bit of drama in this book, it's not so much that you question the heroines sanity when she runs back to him 😂.

Overall, a WONDERFUL quick read full of juicy details, delicious sex, & hot hot man who knows exactly what us women want/need. Doesnt get much better than that yall!

Well done Mrs. Ryan, well done.

Kendall Ryan is the master of sweet, sexy, swoon-worthy characters and storylines; needless to say, Boyfriend for Hire hit every one of those descriptions! I adored Nic and Elle, their story had me mesmerized and spellbound, inhaling page after page so quickly I hadn't realized I finished until the end! You know you're reading a story that sweeps you off your feet when you finish it within hours because you just can't stop reading! Ready to fall in love with this amazing couple then one-click now!

I don’t have much to say about this one. Usually I like Kendall Ryan’s books, but this romance was just “okay” to me. Sort of predictable. Not much went on. The two main characters didn’t make me love them all that much. And, who gets their best friend an escort as a date? I know, I know, it’s fiction. It’s supposed to be unrealistic. But, I just wasn’t feeling it all that much. I did read it in one sitting, though. These reactions, however, won’t keep from reading Ms. Ryan’s next novel when she releases Case’s story next. A very interesting name Case is...
