Conflict and difficult situations reveal what is really in our hearts. Among the most painful but always the most helpful in helping us grow to become more like Jesus, trials and hardship teach us more about God and His ways than anything else. Everyone goes through hard times, some more than others, and since everyone struggles through hard times-- everyone needs to learn how to deal with conflict and difficult situations. Conflicts are unique opportunities where one can learn to rely not on their own strength but rather on God and His power.

In his newly repackaged edition of Growing Through Conflict, best-selling author and beloved pastor Erwin W. Lutzer teaches his readers how to imitate David’s success and avoid his failures. Reading this book will strengthen your faith and help you to learn biblical truth from David’s example like: how spiritual growth happens in hard times, doing God’s will is not always peaceful, how God expects us to endure struggles with patience, and the fact God uses conflict to bring us to Christian maturity.

If you’re like me and had plenty of seasons where you didn't deal with conflict or difficult situations and circumstances in a biblical manner, you need to read this book by Dr. Lutzer. Whether your facing difficult relationships, unresolved grief, doubts about your faith, or illicit desires, King David’s life will show you how to grow in your relationship with God—even through conflict because no challenge it too great for Him. This book will inform your mind about the successes and failures of King David's even while it convicts you of your own failure to grow through conflict. This is a book every Christian can read and should read that will help them to understand not only King David’s life better, but also instruct them on how to grow through conflict and come out on the other side more like Jesus.
