I spent ten years forgetting Wilder Flint, and it took every minute.

I should have known better than to fall for his shallow charms and deep blue eyes, but I was good at calculus and bad at understanding people.

He shredded my heart to pieces, but I moved away, grew up, and got over him. At least, I thought I did.

Of course he shows up again in my new life. He’s got the sa

The book starts out with Imogen trying to get to Yellowknife after a delayed flight has screwed up her arrival time. Panicking about what to do she asks a flight attendant what her options are. The flight attendant sees a man she's been sleeping with that happens to be a pilot who has a history of chartering private flights for a hefty sum. The man happens to be Wilder Flint, someone from Imogen’s past that happens to hate her as much as she hates him.

There’s clearly something that happened betw

3.5 Survival Stars!

Wilder Flint was the popular jock in high school who noticed the weird, nerdy girl. He's been crushing on Imogen big time, but he's already got a girlfriend and he has to keep up appearances. The problems is he can't seem to stay away from her which results in disaster...for Imogen. Fast forward 10 years and their worlds collide again. Neither Wilder nor Imogen has recovered from the fallout from high school. When they are thrown together and end up having to survive a plane c

Color me confused, but what’s up with all these 4 & 5 star reviews? Both the Hero & heroine are supposed to be in their late 20’s and act like immature 14 years olds! The so-called Hero in this story is a real prize. A loathsome, entitled, whiner who sucks big time! For too many reasons to mention, he is a f****g immature asshole (past & present). The heroine, while slightly better, is too “nerdy” for my taste and too forgiving. Even if the f****r grew a pair in the end, there was no ...more
This was quite a pleasant jumble of romantic tropes. We have nerdy girl/handsome hero, secret affair, revenge and finally enemies to lovers. This book ran me through the gamut of emotions and I wasn’t sure where I was going to end up at the end. I truly enjoyed the feeling.

Wilder is not my favorite type of hero and I’m not sure if I ever really felt that he had redeemed himself or that I even liked him. His actions ten years ago did not say “this is the girl I love”. I understand teen angst and

I wonder what kind of woman would stay/forgive/ find a reason or excuse this kind of man.

Both hero and heroine have no morals. 17 years old people knows exactly what is right or wrong. She’s no better than him. IMO
This was cute and I liked that the H managed to grow up and become a better person.

I was not overly ecstatic about his big redemption, it was not terrible and it wasn't a short term reformation, I just felt it was a bit lacking. But the h really loved him and they were great together by the end. I just wish he hadn't been so horrible the first time around.

I'm going to start my review by saying that I am a Roxie Noir fan. She's an excellent writer that does a great job of keeping the reader engaged in the story and there's always lots of laughs to balance out the angst. So why the 3 star rating? Because sadly there just isn't a lot to laugh about in this story and the angst gets kind of heavy and oppressive after awhile. We start the book with Imogen a biologist leaving for a summer research project in a remote Canadian area. Her flight keeps gett ...more

Hero is a disgusting scumbag! Not only is he a cheater, but he is an entitled prick who never grew up. From start to finish, he was a total looser and heroine is no better. She knowingly got involved with someone who was with someone else - both times! The ending sucks big time too. So people, don't believe all these 4 & 5 star reviews because they are total lies!

Is plane crash survivors roughing it in the wild a sub genre? Well If not it should be because it’s now my favorite thanks to Roxie Noir.

Imogen is the quirky nerd girl who captured the eye of the big fish football player named Wilder. It was a secret affair they had but Imogen was just happy to have his attention. He never told anyone because image was everything to him. When he commits the ultimate betrayal Imogen flees their tiny town and makes a new life for herself. Flash fo

This was one nail-biting, sweaty-palmed read. My interest was held throughout as I read the descriptions of the plane crash, the desolation of the crash site, and the aftermath as Imogen and Wilder are forced to make what are truly life and death decisions.

The character development was excellent. In their younger days, both Imogen and Wilder did things that were questionable. They did not act decently, and they did not manage the fallout. Ten years later, there is definite character gr

As soon as I read the synopsis of The Savage Wild, I knew I wanted to read it, and when I got the opportunity to read an ARC, I jumped on that ASAP. So glad I did.

Roxie Noir's The Savage Wild is more than a second chance romance. It is a redemption romance.

Wilder Flint and Imogen Gustavo have A LOT of history to work through when they cross paths ten years later. Their relationship as secret high school lovers turned enemies left them both bitter and full of resentment, and this animosity is pro

Imogen is shy, awkward and riddled with anxiety. She is a biologist and prefers to be alone. I couldn't cope with question after question running on a loop in my mind, constanly. But she is strong, brilliant, independent and quite feisty when she needs to be.

Wilder is a cocky, alpha male, who always gets what he wants and nothing and nobody stands in his way. His high school self was also cocky but he was also shallow, too. Too afraid of what people thought of him and how he should project a cer

Imogen and Wilder are putting proof to theory of the thin line between between love and hate. Imogen was the quintessence nerdy bookworm girl in high school. She never thought thought for one moment The Wilder Flint, popular jock extraordinary would ever look her way. But look he did until it all came tumbling down spectacularly. The seething furying still hasn't dissipated even after ten years, but he is her last resort to get to her Summer Research project. She just never thought a simple flig ...more

When Imogen Gustavo misses her flight to northern Canada for research project, her last chance to get there comes in the form of the last person she ever expected to see again, pilot Wilder Flint. It’s been ten years since the pair last saw one another, but both bear the emotional scars of their pasts, though for different reasons. Ten years ago, Wilder was the town’s richest and most popular boy in high school, and though he noticed the nerdy Imogen, he never acknowledged her in public so it wo ...more

I really liked this book. So why the three stars you ask? You might see a few DNFs or 1 star reviews for how the hero conducted himself - especially in the past. Now see, it didn't kill the book for me, but it did make me kind of go hmmm... Like, did he do enough in the end? Should Imogen forgive him? Especially when he was rejected he is tempted to be a cruel bastard again for a second, which didn't help. I dunno. So, three stars. I liked it, but I could have easily really liked it.

As soon as this book was announced I was so excited because I have loved every single one of Roxie Noir's books.
And she has yet to disappoint. The Savage Wild, an enemies to lovers romance was every bit as good as her other books - dare I say better?
Wilder is deeply flawed, I mean he's done some shitty things. But though I don't often believe people can change, Wilder proved me wrong.
Imogen (love the name - it's the same as one of my friends) is the ultimate nerd, which makes my nerd brain happy

Roxie Noir done a wonderful job in bringing Imogen and Wilder to life. Love watching Wilder grow into becoming a man that deserved the love of Imogen. A fantastic read.

The Savage Wild is an amazing book. I think everyone should read it. In The Savage Wild you can read about stupid pride, secret affair, betrayal, hate, tragedy, danger and Love. It’s a well written enemies to lovers book. This story is so emotional. I fell in love with Imogen from beginning ❤ She is strong, intelligent and independent women. Wilder is a jerk...but I start to like him in the end ❤
It was my first book by Roxie and I know I found my happy place in the world of books!

I absolutely loved this story and could not put it down. It was so good to read a romance with a different situation to the usual. Although the enemies to lovers theme is not new Roxie did this so well I could feel the pain and anguish that the characters were going through. It really brought home how difficult High School years can be and the pain that can linger for a long time afterwards.

Ten years ago, Wilder was the richest and most popular boy in school who dated the most popular girl Meli

Despite needing to make sure I was bundled up while reading this (hey, I live in Vegas and Roxie's description of Imogen & Wilder's wilderness adventures was VIVID! I grew up in places with winter, I knew how that cold must feel!); I enjoyed being submerged in their world. A second chance romance. Imogen is intelligent, introverted, a bit awkward, and fantastic. Wilder is the rich, popular guy who finally gets that the world does not revolve around him. Roxie's books always have heat (and bo ...more

I liked this book, the writing was good and it was a unique premise for me. The H was a big jerk and I did feel at times he was being pulled over the irredeemable line just bc his thoughts and words occasionally didnt quite gel enough for me to totally buy into how he felt for the h, we really don't need to pile on the cruelty when he was going to do one huge cruel thing. In the end I felt I was pulled over the line to accept it, because he did have some really nice inner thoughts. The h was gre ...more

I can’t stand these characters! Imogen is whiny, complaining, and ridiculous. Wilder is absolutely disgusting. They are both cheaters, and it sounds like he’s done something absolutely despicable in their past, so I honestly don’t care what happens to them. As far as I’m concerned, they can stay in the frozen tundra.

I usually don’t rate a DNF, but I read 70% of this and I feel like it earned it. The writing is fine, no glaring errors or issues. But I don’t understand the point of making t

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Wilder Flint is a well-known jock who had everything going for him. He had the cheerleader girlfriend but needed help with calculus. So he falls for the nerdy, smart girl Imogen who tutors him and they hook up on the side. Imogen gets tired of being a secret and decides to tell Wilder’s girlfriend about them. At first his girlfriend doesn’t believe her. To get back at Imogen at prom because it is all about appearances, Wilder plays over the int

*** Part of a conversation between the hubster and I at 2:00 A.M after I have excitedly woken him up, accidentally on purpose, the need to talk to somebody after finishing The Savage Wild was at high levels! ****
Hubby: Wait, the nerdy girl, was researching what?

Hubby: Okaayy..

I love writing sexy, alpha men and the headstrong women they fall for.

My weaknesses include: beards, whiskey, nice abs with treasure trails, sarcasm, cats, prowess in the kitchen, prowess in the bedroom, forearm tattoos, and gummi bears.
