Beep Beep! This book was just like the cartoon. The lady at the finish line in her red swimsuit made me smile. Times have changed, and yet they haven't. Beep Beep!

There was a marathon and roadrunner had signed up to be in the race. Wile E. Coyote was determined to catch the roadrunner and used his tricks to do it. Somehow the roadrunner always avoided the coyote's schemes and continued the race!

As far as I know Julia has never watched any cartoon with these characters in it so this was all new to her. I, of course, remember the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote from when I was younger.
The book reads much like the cartoons I used to watch. I'm not sure I'd actually recommend them for any kids not familiar with the cartoon even though Julia didn't seem to mind at all.
