This book is set in North Texas in 1873 where Anna Sanchez lives on the Rancho Sanchez with her Mother and stepfather. She has learned how to run the ranch with her stepfather and the hands. Hoping to one day run the ranch if something happens to her stepfather. Well that day is here.
