I love all things NH! This was a quick, cute 3 1/2-star read with many humorous moments, especially in the sidebars, and there were times I’d have to read an excerpt to my husband.
Being a native New Hampshirite, I don’t fit most of what is suggested in this book, so I recommend taking these “facts” with a grain of salt. 😝

Nice work, heah. One for the coffee table, which of course, bein a wicked piece of furniture made from a lobster pot washed up on Hampton Beach, but that's another story, for when them who are not us pull the latch string and come over for a cup of sugar since their cookie recipe called for two and they only had one, and of course they hafta sit down for a hot cup of cider so they can read about the nitty-gritty details of why we all love it heah. Look forward to the others by my neighbah.

We had our book discussion at noon and another in the evening with pies. Several of the participants read passages aloud, but Cathy's reading was the best. She brought the book alive with her expressive tone and New Hampshire accent. Reading the book was a 2 out of 5 stars for me, but hearing Cathy read was a 5 out of 5. She was hilarious, I laughed all the way home.

Rebecca Rule is a story-teller and humorist who calls the State of New Hampshire home. Her book is a free-floating ride through all that makes her home state special: the dialect, the natives, the ghost stories, the tourist attractions, and the glacial erratics (big rocks in odd places). Throughout the journey she adds her own brand of humor which made the book entertaining as well as informative. It will appeal to those who live or regularly vacation in the Granite State as well as serve as a humorful travel guide to others who might be planning a visit.
