My heart is smiling as I turned the last page. But I knew to expect that with any story by Eliza Knight! She has the special touch of wonderful prose and creating delightful characters that you get to know as you are immersed into the storyline. Combining the exact amount of brawn Scot Magnus "Strath" Sutherland, Laird of Dornoch and the delightful English Lass Eva Declare, daughter of the Earl of Norwyck brings this tale to life.
Strath is given the task by the king to go to England and put an

As expected This author continues The Sutherland Legacy with another brilliant and completely spellbinding book .
I personally loved Magnus ‘Strath’ Sutherland, he was everything I’d want from such a character, charming and strong minded with a bit of rogue thrown in , a loveable nature but slightly damaged to make you want to hug him .
Eva was , to begin with , downtrodden and put upon , but as you go through she develops into a feisty and wonderful woman , thoughtful and caring but not weak .

4.5 Stars!

The Highlander's Stolen Bride is book 2 in the Sutherland Legacy series and it can be read as a standalone. I suggest reading book 1 first, because we met Magnus/Strath there, and because if you're a fan of Highlander/medieval books, you just can't miss any of these.

After reading two books by her, Ms. Knight is quickly becoming one of my go-to historical authors. Her books are not only highly entertaining, but the heroines are fiery and strong and don't resort to some of the

3.5 Stars - This is book 2 in The Sutherland Legacy Series. I enjoyed book one much more than Strath and Eva's story. This one did not captivate me as much as Bella and Nial's story did. The pace on this one was slower. The story is still a good story. Magnus "Strath" Sutherland is still reeling from his guilt because of the betrayal of his betroth. He feels it was his fault the whole problem ended up on his father's doorstep. It could have had severe consequences. Thankfully, it did not, but ...more

Eva loves her father, even though he is draining their Earldom dry at the behest of the odious Lord Belfinch. Things become untenable, however, when he offers her hand in marriage. She sees no way out - until a band of Scots invade the keep and rescue her from the altar. They are led by the handsome and honourable laird Strath, who has orders of his own.

I enjoyed the character of Eva, as she reached out to help people despite her own circumstances. I can't say she was always the most sensible

I read one of Eliza's books for another book tour a few years back. I thought The Highlander's Sin was good. The Highlander's Stolen Bride was superb. I instantly fell in love with Evan and Strath. These were two people you just adored. The best part was that Strath wasn't the alpha Highlander, he was really a big softy when it came to Eva. If you don't love him, there is seriously something wrong with you. He is perfect.

Eva was kidnapped by Strath who was under orders by Robert The Bruce to

I didn't think book 2 could possibly be better than book 1, but it was! Let me just say this, cherry tarts.... cherry tarts! That scene had me laughing like a maniac.

Eva, our main heroine finds herself being married off to a man she despises, and when an unlikely hero shows up in the form of highlander, she seizes her chance at escape. She figures he must be the lesser than two evils, and I agreed. I loved how level-headed this heroine was. She doesn't cower in a corner and let life take her for

If you love suspense, betrayal, and Scottish romance all rolled into one, you should love reading “The Highlander’s’ Stolen Bride” by Eliza Knight! I’ve read several of Eliza’s books and she’s a master storyteller. Her characters are so well developed that you’ll either love the hero’s or heroines, and you’ll most like hate the nasty, villains. I love how Eva helps Strath learn to handle his self perceived humiliation as well as his lack of trust for any females. Once burned twice shy some say. ...more

Magnus "Strath" Sutherland has been sent by his king to capture the men responsible for some horrific raids on Scottish villages. Also he must find out the truth about the reported death of a young lady.
Eva de Clare can't understand what has happened with her father lately. He has been taxing his people into near starvation, and giving the money to the evil brute who is now demanding her hand in marriage. No amount of tears or rage is going to change her destiny.
There is a lot more to find out

Following a good Scottish Tradition, Magnus-aka Strath, steals his hated rival's bride. What he doesn't expect is for her to steal his heart. Eva is appalled that her father has basically sold her to the highest bidder. This is not what she expected from a man that should love and protect her. A reprieve arrives in a very unusual way-Strath arrives. Having lost any trust in women, Strath doesn’t treat his stolen bride with respect. Eva, with her sass and bravery, slowly begins to thaw Strath’s ...more

Sadly disappointed

I have to stretch yo give this a 3stzr rating. I had looked forward for this to be released and have had to force myself to finish. It seemed to have a good story line but this just wasn't Eliza Knight's best writing for me. It seemed to drag seemed more silly than funny in parts. It just didn't get me involved into it. It was like someone else had written it...more a "beginner" author. I loved Niall and Bella's story and all the other Stolen Brides storiez, sadly

I enjoyed this book alot. The hero was exciting and heroin was enjoyable. There were a few twists near the end that you actually do not see coming which made for extra interesting reading. I love a good highlander story, love, intrigue, a bit of turmoil. This story had it all, and the H/H scenes were very enjoyable and boy can Eliza Knight right her steamy scenes. A must read for all highland romance lovers.

Another good book from the Sutherland Legacy. Eva and Strath were engaging from the beginning. Eva was sweet and kind and together they brought out the best in each other. Eva was engaged to an evil Lord who was black mailing Eva's father and she was part of the blackmail. Trying to figure out how to get out of it in crashed Strath and swept her away. I was a fun read.

An excellent novel! A strong but caring male, and an equally strong courageous woman make a wonderful pair. As love grows the story gets even better. They truly deserve one another. Evil gets defeated, love grows. True romance is evident and flourishes. I recommend this book to all readers. Thank you for a good story, Jack.

Glimmers of Interest

A good adventure, but would benefit from fewer throbbing parts and quivering folds. The erotica was trite and felt copied and pasted, and the plot was thin. I wish more effort had been directed to character development.
