Look, one day I'll write a piece on what constitutes addicting, memorable reads, or maybe even how hard it is and what it takes for a fervently-anticipated book to live up to the hype you've built for it, and when someone asks me to name an example, I'll pelt them with copies of this book and tell them to see what I'm talking about for themselves.

I've made it no secret that I'll pick up anything this author duo writes. Ever since I sneak-read IF I'M BEING HONEST (2019) back in early April of

Wow. I was not emotionally prepared for this.

I’ve been gorging on YA contemporary romance over the last two years. Like, oh-my-god-McDonald’s-fries-are-best-fries gorging. So when I read IF I’M BEING HONEST—my first taste of Wibbroka—earlier this year, it had a lot of competition. Yet, it easily became my top favorite.

Now? NOW?? Pretty sure Austin and Emily had a Hulk glow-up just so they could grab my arms and rip me in half. I’m THAT TORN. WHICH BOOK

I really enjoyed this contemporary romance . Also talking about school choice, purpose, love, family. There are so many good messages. Some new stuff coming and some stuff you say goodbye too. Life is full of this kind of stuff, messy, scary, new. That what I love, this book felt so real ...more

This book was absolutely charming with characters who were relatable, well-developed, and adorable. I love the way the authors explored all the emotions that come along with the transitionary period between high school and college and having to make all those BIG life decisions. The writing is also just lovely! 10/10 would recommend.

Oh how I adored this book by my favorite writing team! They keep putting out gems! The plot of the story was a fun-filled journey through colleges but also through the emotional landscape of the two main characters. They were lovable and quirky and whip smart. Pretty much like the authors who created them. The story captures the heart of transition and what that looks like on deeply personal levels. Their journeys are something we can relate to regardless of where we've come from or where we're ...more

This book was EVERYTHING I needed in a contemporary as well as a contemporary that NEEDED to be written. It follows the story of two kids on the cusp of graduation touring prospective colleges where they keep happening to run into each other. The romance is perfection (no surprise, I mean, it's Wibbroka), and the (view spoiler) ...more

As expected from my favorite author duo, I absolutely loved Time of Our Lives. I love the connection and relationship that develops between Fitz and Juniper, and I love the way that they are able to help each other realize things about themselves. The elements of family that were incorporated into the story helped to round the characters and reveal their true personalities, as well. I also enjoyed the travel-log of the various university tours and exploration of the cities that house the ...more

Fitz and Juniper have polar opposite outlooks in terms of college plans-- Juniper can't wait to distance herself from her overbearing family, while Fitz fears abandoning his mother, who will develop early-onset Alzheimer's. Despite his mom's looming illness, she insists he take a tour of colleges on the east coast, where he and Juniper keep colliding on the way. Their connection is undeniable; but how do they navigate this spark with their separate paths? Time of Our Lives surprised me with how ...more

This was a delightful love story that had me giggling and that was happily lacking in angst filled drama that makes me roll my eyes. The transitions and feelings from high school to potential colleges felt very real and similar to what I remember feeling at that time in my life. Good work team!

    Review copy courtesy of Edelweiss.

A YA romcom that tackles the excitement and angst of college visits - a uniquely upper-middle-class pastime in this reviewer’s viewpoint - and introduces one Mexican-American heroine eager to go to college and one redheaded hero reluctant to leave his ill mom.

This book was a charming, memorable (pun-intended) romp that tackled the prospect of college and coming-of-age in a realistic, honest way. The characters had depth and real flaws that made it easy to root for them.

Emily Wibberley grew up in Southern California, but instead of working on her nonexistent tan at the beach, she spent her time reading, making music and watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Shortly after falling for her best friend, Austin Siegemund-Broka, she attended Princeton University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2014 with a degree in Psychology. She and Austin now live and write YA
