Read Gamayun in the wrong order, oops; but it seems like there was a lot more content within Volume 3 than Volume 2 or 1; this is far more entertaining than Volume 1.

Second volume of Gamayun Tales takes us under the water and beyond. With more beautiful characters you kind of want more and more, but i understand (and you should too) this is not novel, nor another GoT book. The story is short, but the richness comes from simple folk story, unique art style and amazing book design.

Enjoyed this even more than the first one. Looking forward to the next on coming out in the new year!

Well-told, well-illustrated Russian folktales, with a big cast of characters: do-gooders, evil-doers, erring humans, angry spirits, generous spirits, crime, punishment, and everything in between.

A good read, if a bit less dense and pristine.

The story continues from the first book but ends too soon. I still loved it but it didn’t blow me away like the previous.

I was disappointed that the story was so short and ended so abruptly. It did have really beautiful illustrations and vivid characters, though, and I love things that are based on folklore. The acknowledgments include Hayao Miyazaki and the influence really shows. Eager to read the rest of the series.
