I thought this book was more of a beginners guide to cosplay. Rather, it was a gorgeous art book filled with amazing Blizzard-related cosplay. Not only are the outfits superb - I was shocked at how many genuinely good ones there were - but the photography was world class, and some even featured special effects that gave the cosplayers that little boost into heroism.

Most of the photos include a small paragraph written by the cosplayer themselves, offering some advise. If you're looking for a guide of any sort, this is where the book will fall short. The book more or less gives you advise on a cosplayer's mentality more than anything. There is a small section near the back with some 'hint' photos as to how some pieces are made, but it's hardly anything. As a fabricator of various objects myself, I didn't feel like there was much offered. There is, however, a small animal section as well, which was amusing.

Overall, if you like art books, this doesn't disappoint. And if you think cosplay costumes aren't art, this'll change your mind. Lastly, whoever uploaded that cover - that's not the correct one. The real one is far better, and features a real cosplayer. It's a thick, high-quality, display-worthy book.

A lovely art book chock full of fantastic cosplays! I was absolutely blown away by the quality of some of these cosplays, and the special effects (from small touches like glowing eyes, to beautifully rendered environments from the game) really added that magic touch to many of the photos. I really enjoyed hearing from the cosplayers and photographers themselves, and my only complaint is that there could have been more. However, this book overall was excellent and just gorgeous to look at!

This was not what I had expected when purchasing this book. It is a collection of photos of various cosplay. There are some statements from cosplayers, but I did not find a single helpful tip, trick, or hint towards cosplay in this book.
