Review to come!

I'm normally all about dragon-shifter PNR's. Book 1 started off promising and when I finished it, I jumped right into this one. But I'm not really feeling this whole story's arc. There's almost a formula or pattern to this book's plot that was the same as that of book 1. I found everything too predictable and sadly, for me, a little boring to read.

In a nutshell: (view spoiler)

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

Things are getting interesting now. We pick back up with Kira and her men on a ship heading to the air kingdom so they can complete the bond in the temple there. Of course there is still all kinds of danger going on as they are chased by the other dragons in an effort to stop them. Trying to figure out powers and relationships on top of this is the cherry on top of the cake. Lots of twists, turns, and su

I always enjoy dragons, so I admit I'm predisposed to like this series. But these are fun, fast reads that have a decent story. It moves really quickly - it is pretty much insta-love, and the characters act like they've known each other for months when it has been like 10 days - but I'm enjoying it even if it is a bit simplistic.

Kiss the Sky was a good follow up to the first book Stroke the Flame, focusing on Auric's story instead of Jasin's this time. I adore Auric, so I was excited to see more of his story and history. One of his surprises was revealed early on that Kira didn't like so much, and I feel as though her reaction to it was kind of ridiculous. She was too dramatic about it, even though Auric explained everything right away and fixed the situation a few moments later. I just thought it wasn't a huge deal onc ...more

I knew starting this that the first book was so-so but I couldn't really remember why... Now I remember. You take 5 people, force them together against their will with god magic and then expect it to all just work out really fast. There really is no chemistry and the interactions are just stilted. It is on KU so no loss really but I am leaving myself this review so I don't accidentally end up trying to read the 3rd book...

Informative

I hate it when they only get bits and pieces of the real story throughout their journey. Their lives would be easier to figure out with full info up front.

One huntress, a soldier, a prince, a blacksmith, and an assassin. Chosen by the gods these five are destined to become the world's next elemental dragons; to battle and replace the power-hungry black dragon and her cruel men. After bonding with Jasin and barely escaping the Black Dragon and the Onyx Army, Kira and her men are sailing to the Air Kingdom where she will bond with Auric. Naturally, their journey isn't smooth sailing. There are powerful, evil forces working with the current dragons a ...more

I listened to the audiobook version of this book.
Kiss the Sky picks up where Stroke the Flame leaves off. It is a very fast paced listen and seemed to be over before I knew it! In this one we get to see their journey as the return to the place where Auric is from and we get a lot more detail about him and his background. We also get to learn some more suprising information about Kira and her background. Now that we know who all of the main characters (mostly) are from the first book, the author

A book cannot get any better than intense, action packed and steamy. This story has it all, and then some. More of Kira's history is revealed as well as the true nature of her bond to her mates. As more about Kira unfolds, it becomes clearer as to why she is mated with these four mates. I found myself catching my breath as the story ended because I just wanted more. I cannot wait for the next in the series. I truly loved the interaction of the characters in this story. Each one became closer to ...more

Another great book in the Her Elemental Dragons series!

Elizabeth Briggs has picked us up right where we left off in Stroke The Flame, with Kira and her four Dragons heading towards the Air Realm. This book has bene written well with the pace being just right to allow for each Dragon to have their own tale (even with all the characters involved). While we went to the Fire Realm for Jasin in book 1, this time we get to see the different culture surrounding the Air Realm with Auric, along with all

4 & 1/2 stars rounded up.
I think I liked this book better than book 1. New readers should start at the beginning with book 1, or will miss a lot of nuances to the story. This held my attention, and I couldn't put it down. The flow is a lot better, but the world building has built with the adventure. The romance/seduction is starting to ramp up in this book, much more than book 1 had in it. I see the relationships developing with the some of the guys & Kira, and

2 elements down...2 to go!

Book 2 did not disappoint. I was hooked on this storyline since the first book was out, Stroke the Flame. I love the imaginative plot, new characters, pace and writing style. I wish I didn't have wait for Slade and Revens' book to come out. Each of these four men/dragons have a unique personality and I really enjoy how Ms. Briggs keeps true to each of them. Sometimes in a series an author can forget certain traits and idiosyncrasies attributed to each character. I find

Great 2nd Adventure

Giving this 2nd book 5 stars as well. Great story. Still wonderful characters. Action packed. Steam factor excellent until the author decided to add 1 scene that hinted at what was to come. GAG. She had to ruin it. Ugh. What's up with authors wanting to add that in for. I'M SORRY but I don't know 1 woman friend in my long lifetime that found that act sexy, interesting in the least, or wanting to read about it. Gagging again just thinking about it. Again, still here for the story. Some of the happenings I’d guessed, but some of them I hadn’t and it’s all so intriguing to me...

It would have been cool if the traits the guys were supposed to bring out in her noticeable changed Kira’s behavior. For instance, after she was bonded to Jasin, but none of the others, it would have been cool if she had started being dumb brave, that way as she bonded with each guy, you could tell how they balanced her in a very concrete way.

Lastly, I wish there was

Book 2 in the series . This was a great listen. The story continues where the first one ended. Where the first one has questions and Jason father betrayed them .
Book 2 starts with Kira and her mates on a ship heading to the air temple , that Auric will become the air dragon. Kira will become the black dragon when she mates with all of her mates.
Where Jason father betrayed them to the army and the fire dragon , Auric parents support Auric and the other 4 . There is a suprise i

This is the second book in the Her Elemental Dragons Series, a Paranormal Reverse Harem Romance. This second book is as good as the first one. The main characters Kira, and her four dragon shifters Jasin, Auric, Slade, and Reven share a strong and undeniable chemistry. Their adventure continues and things get more and more captivating... and steamy! The storyline is fast-paced, suspenseful, and intriguing! Now, I can't wait for the next book in the Series, Shake The Earth. The narration was real ...more

I like Auric better after this book but I still like Jasin best. I'm interested in learning about the other two soon. It seems like the task is going to be much harder reaching the next two temples. That seemed a little fast for the other dragons to realize what was happening. I'd like to see more details throughout the book but this might end up being a great idea that just didn't reach its full potential. Still giving four stars because it's an easy read that kept my attention and I'll be read ...more

Surprised

I seem to recall liking the first book in this series a lot more than I found in "Kiss the Sky." That is unfortunate .

My overall impression is ho hum, who cares. When I find myself thinking that way about a story, I try not to be overly cautious in my review rating. Another reader may feel differently. I didn't like the pacing of the combat, as well as the sex scenes. Nothing too bad specifically, just not exciting.

Will I read the third book? Probably. I will want to see how they all lo

2.85 stars?

This series has a lot of potential. The story is easy to follow, interesting and the characters have complexities. The sec scenes are hot. Very well written and steamy. I'm kind of hoping for some m/m action.

The grammatical errors pull me from the fantasy constantly, as well as mixups (saying air temple when meaning fire etc). It took me a few weeks to return to the book after getting frustrated with them.

Slade and Reven are reluctant, almost to a fault. It's honestly making me wan

I noticed today that Kiss the Sky was available on Amazon so I quickly downloaded it, having loved book 1. I was so excited to see where this story would goand how the characters would develop, while hoping for steamy scenes. The author did not disappoint. I could not put the book down once I started it. Elizabeth Briggs takes you on such an amazing journey with her words that while you are reading, you forget about every day life and stress... Interesting story even if it's a bit predictable

The main female character handles things a lot like I would, feet first/jump right in, which I like. The leading males don't all have the same personality, which is another perk. However, I could practically quote the storyline to you including "spoilers" prior to reading it. Still, I will finish the series because there have been no severe put offs, like poor grammar and bad character building.

Another great story where we learned about Kira and the guys more. Honestly, I preferred the first book to this one, but at the same time, my favorite scenes so far have been in this book because these guys are boyfriend goals! Even Reven and Slade managed to steal my heart and I'm so flippin' excited to read Slade's story next. I want to read Reven's story so bad though!! A must-read series for sure and I highly recommend.

Absolutely Fabulous!! Elizabeth Briggs has done it again with the second book in "Her Elemental Dragons" series. Kira and her mates are becoming more familiar with each other as they travel on their quest. Now bonding with each of them along the way. The depth of the relationships and development of the story is intriguing, exciting and consuming. I could not put it down. Book three in the series can't come out too soon. Will definitely be looking forward to it.

I'm really enjoying how each book is kind of centered around a single guy, but still involves everyone. Also getting to "see" the guys as dragons is pretty awesome. I've enjoyed all the different things that have popped up and the way they all have to just take it in stride and deal with it. Lia and Stephen have done an amazing job narrating this story. I am excited to read the next book and I can't wait to hear what surprises are in store for this new "family".

Kiss the Sky

Looks like the group has a mountain of issues in front of them. So far they made it to the Fire and Air realm. earth is next. Two of her men are still hold outs, but are slowly coming along and two are fully on board. Their travel is dangerous and making it out of the next temple alive seems almost impossible.

I really liked the 2nd installment. It was great that they now have a new traveling companion who may have fighting skills but not too sure how she will stack up against Dragons? Would really be nice if she ends up being one of the Temple Guardians, but instead of having 4 men, having 4 women instead? Just a thought. LOL LOl. Any who, can't wait for book 3!

This is the second book in the series and was just as good as the first.
Each book correlates with one of the men’s powers. So, the first was Jasin and fire. This one was Auric and air.
I really liked the adventures the 5 of them went through in this one. It was also nice to revisit with past characters like Calla.
Looking forward to Book 3.
