Initial thought after reading this book: What the hell was that?

I am so confused. The previous book in this series was done well this one was not. The first 40% of this book was just bad. The two MC's are suppose to be in their 30's but acted like they were teenagers. I had to double check to make sure I wasn't reading a YA book. Their behavior was beyond childish and the angry sex did not make up for it.

Andy and Milo once had a relationship in high school when they were 16 and 18. The relations

My favourite one yet in this series. There's nothing I love more than a well done second chance romance and Aimee delivered one in spades.

Andy and Milo were such a great pair, even before they officially sorted out their issues the sparks were flying. I loved the little insights into their past, the knowledge they had of each other as teenagers still proving to be the case 12 and then 14 years later.

I loved that it took time for them to reconnect outside of the mad sexual attraction and there wa

So cute- Milo & Andy ❤ Andy returns home after being away for over a decade. He has many demons and self doubt but the one thing he knows is that he still loves Milo. Andy has always been the love of Milos life but his return brought back many feelings and fears. This is a story of forgiveness and growing up. Another enjoyable adventure in Blissville ! ...more

This is the fourth book in author Aimee Nicole Walker’s Road to Blissville series, but my first book to read in this series so I’m going to say upfront that while I enjoyed this book I didn’t fall in love with it and that was because I felt I was missing some critical pieces of the puzzle. Now, I want to say that is on me not the author, I knew this was the 4th book when I requested it after loving her last release, so my recommendation is to read the other books before grabbing this one up.

Ladies and Gentleman, this book had me breaking my own rules and left me slightly panicked because I did not know!!! Not too panicked which I am attributing to my older age and calmer disposition (the fuck it kind), but still, we'll go with mildly freaking out.

While I was reading this I realized I skipped a book!!! Yes, I could have should have probably stopped, started the book I missed and then continued but, well, I didn't do that. So, if you need consistency in your stories and need to have

4 stars!! This is a sweet book with low angst but high emotion; very much consistent with other books written by Ms. Walker. It is part of the Road to Blissville series, however it can be read as a standalone. If someone is new to the Curl Up and Dye and other Blissville books it won't take time to catch up with the ensemble that comes with all Blissville novels.
The MCs, Milo and Andy were introduced several books ago with more focus on beefcake Andy than Milo. We find out right in the beginn

You'd think that I'd learned by now... This spin-off series is not for me. I've disliked every single book in the Road to Blissville series, but for some reason I keep picking the books up. Maybe it's because I expect the same magic from the Curl Up and Dye series and hope springs eternal and all that. Yet every time I end up disappointed. I disliked both Andy and Milo, they felt childish to me, the games and revenges they played on each other just went on and on.. I was fed up by them from the ...more

Milo, 30, and Andy, 32, are having a second chance, if they can stop hurting and blaming, long enough to listen.
Andy headed to college and baseball stardom,

while Milo was left behind. Back in those days, being gay could ruin your sports career. Now, 12 years later, each man has come into his own and made something to be proud of.
Milo, sometimes drag queen,

and twin Maegan own a coffee shop, while Andy has come home to start his construction business.

Our guys are all hot, sweaty, guttural, an

Ahhh, I just love the people in Blissville! I love this whole group, all the connections and all of the people we have known since the Curl up and Dye series.

Andy and Milo were great once they got past their anger, the hate sex (I mean, yeah, it was hot, but it still was sad that they were so quick to anger with each other at the beginning) and I loved their families and friends.

Can't wait to start the 5th book, and the hopeful many, many more! Blissville is gonna be nothing but gay couples be

This Time Around was a fantastic read. When it was over I yelled NO NO NO..I need more!! As usual, the snark, the heat, the sweet and emotion sucked me in. Andy and Milo’s story was emotional and fun. Milo is just an awesome character. His thought process was hysterical! Andy and Milo were just meant to be! *SIGH* The writing again was top notch. Aimee sets the bar higher with every book and she continuously surpasses it. I love Milo’s family and in particular, his sister Maegan. I want to be pa ...more

This one was just Ok for me. I seem to go back in forth with this series between OK and I liked it. I didn't dislike this. The problem is the characters are grown and behave like children in the beginning. I mean have a conversation please before being a twat. Also the romance in the book seems to take a back seat to the mystery. They are not cohesive each seems to be it's own separate entity making it difficult to stay connected to the MC's as a romantic couple. There is a big time gap we don't ...more

Wow, I think this book broke my record for early DNF (10%). The plot has been done so many times before: one main character who leaves a small town for the big city and for whatever reason comes back with his tail between his legs. The other main character stayed in the small town and made something of himself. The one who left has realized after 12 years that he wants the one who stayed but the one who stayed is so, so angry. He’s so angry in fact that he cannot resist until the first evening t ...more

This Time Around is the complicated story of Andy and Milo. First and foremost, I enjoyed this book. I like the writing style of Aimee Nicole Walker and really enjoy the characters and setting of Blissville.

Are there issues in this book? It all depends on your point of view. As I am someone trained to see both sides of a situation, I could point out areas of contention. However, I don't believe it is a flaw in the plot. I believe it is in how you look at the situation.

This book is not so much ab

I had a great time with Andy and Milo. I was curious about them and the author didn't disappointed me.
Andy and Milo were in love in high school but when Andy move in college , they broke. For twelve years they stay appart. Andy never came back in Blissville.
Twelve years later, he move back and tries to rekindle with his one and only, Milo.
I loved them.
Milo is amazing, crazy, smartass and adorable. He's completely in love with Andy, but refuses to show it (he fails lol) at first, but Andy is i

I liked the characters, and am kind of a sucker for second chance relationships, but the plot needs to be tightened up. There were a lot of parts that just needed more explanation, and parts that just seemed like they were last minute thoughts and were added even though they didn't make sense. I was also confused with the timeline - especially since they hook up twice in as many days then basically spend two years ignoring each other even though they live in a small town and see each other all t ...more

This was a. Last to read!

Passionate, emotional, and funny. Milo and Andy are great and when you add their family and friends it becomes so much more. The way the author was able to progressively show their history throughout the story added so much depth that I sank even deeper into Blissville and all the wonderful people that love there. Aimee Nicole Walker even gave us a little glimpse into what could be coming while still leaving us guessing. Fantastically done from start to finish.

Milo and Andy history is a long lost love with lots of misunderstandings. It was frustrating to keep reading how Milo won’t talk it out and decide whether to move forward or forget Andy for two years! But later from that point forward still I failed to understand why they cant disclose their past once they the decided to give it a try to be together.

Another great add to the series. Andy and Milo's story has been going on for awhile so here we finally get to see how it started but most importantly how they end up together. Milo is sassy and hilarious, some great surprises with him (spoilers about that at the end of my review) that I didn't see coming. He's trying to grow and forgive to get his second chance with love. Andy has had a lot thrown at him and is trying to get back to happiness that he lost, realizing he shouldn't be ashamed of wh ...more

This Time Around is book 4 in the Road to Blissville series and while it can be read as a standalone, which is what I did, although I think it might be even better to read the series, since there are a lot of recurring characters.

Milo and Andy were high-school sweethearts, but had a falling out after Andy went away to college on a baseball scholarship. 12 years later, Andy returns to Blissville and tries to get back together with Milo, but while Milo can't resist jumping him, he's not

Ooooooh, I had such high hopes for this one... I LOVED Andy from previous books.
Everyone always so jealous of him around their guys, I wanted him to get someone amazing!
Not that Milo wasn't alright, but he for sure wasn't my favorite. Sighh.... Each one of these kept getting better for me, so I was sadly disappointed by this one.

Milo and his sister own a coffee shop... Andy left him for college when he was sixteen and now that he's back twelve years later, he's mad that Andy just up and left w

An ARC received for an honest review. 4.5 rounded up to 5

Return to Blissville for Milo Miracle and Andrew "Randy Andy" Mason's rocky road to bliss. Milo and Andy were high school sweethearts. Andy was a baseball player in high school that was scouted to play college ball. He takes some bad advice from someone he thought had his best interest and Milo is lost in the fray. Andy is gone from Blissville for 12 years. When he returns he's a handy man construction worker, flipping houses on the side.

This is the fourth book that I have read from this author and I am reluctant to try another. All the books from this author I have read seem to suffer from the same issues but to varying degrees. This book seems to have them in bucketloads. I was only 30% of the way through this book when I had to stop put it down and not finish it for a couple of months because I was confused and frustrated from reading it. It goes into too much detail about stuff that you have no idea why it is in the book the ...more
