The sheep dress as ghosts and are off to trick or treat, however one by one they run away as they encounter other frightening costumed trick or treaters. This was an ok book, but the counting concept that is tied to it is very weak.
Six sheep decide to go trick or treating dressed up as ghosts. One by one they get scared....by...pirates, fairies, hobos, goblins and witches until one is left to trick or treat at the -- surprise -- party barn. This kids counting book has colorful illustrations and a nice surprise ending were kids can try to find the ghost sheep in the crowd at the party.

I loved the animals in their costumes and how they were described ("gaggle of goblins" and such). Great laugh there. It had a bit og a 5 Little Monkeys thing going on as sheep kept leaving one by one. And a lot of repetitiveness. Would work for PreK, but not K-4.
